I have had two treatments with Dr Thomas at Klinika Prohair. Communications before the appointments were straightforward and I knew what to expect.

The first thing that impressed me was the attention to cleanliness and detail. The clinic was pristine and there was a strong emphasis on ensuring a sterile environment throughout.

The procedure was well managed from the pain perspective and nothing to worry about. The clinic was comfortable which was important as the transplant took several hours and lunch was a welcome break. At the end of the procedure, Dr Thomas gave clear instructions on what I needed to do to keep the wounds clean and to maximise the chance of a successful transplant. It's important to carefully follow these simple instructions.

One of the advantages of the procedure with Dr Thomas was that my head was not shaved before the transplant. This meant that the procedure did not show after about five days and I could return to work within a couple of weeks and not show any significant change. The growth came gradually over several months and was ‘complete’ after about 12 months. I am very pleased with the result. Also, Dr Thomas was available to answer any queries on e-mail which was reassuring.

I can confidently recommend Dr Thomas to anyone considering this treatment, he is extremely well-qualified and knowledgeable about hair loss and transplants and the results are impressive.”

Did a FUE by doctor Tamas 2 years ago and results are excellents. He reconstitued my frontal line and temples.
When I arrived at the airport a taxi took me for the hotel and Tamas worked on my head the day after. He is very nice and I Was confident.
The day after, he did a FUE on my 67 years old father. Less grafts for his needs. Results excellent too for my father.
If my back hairs keep falling in the futur, I wont hesitate to visit him again.

I recently had my 4th HT procedure with ProHair Clinic in Budapest.

It is early days but I hope/assume that the latest procedure will go as well as the previous 3 HT, so I am eagerly waiting for the results to show.

Both doctor and clinic itself are top level and the results are 5* in my experience so I wouldn't recommend anywhere else (not even the more expensive London clinics). I think the advice and attention given, the procedure itself as well as after-care are all very good and what is expected from a top-level clinic.

After 4 HT over 7 years I am extremely pleased with the results: As a perfectionist it's difficult to ever be totally satisfied but I am as close to that as possible. If I eventually need a further HT then I will not be considering any other doctor/clinic.

As far as location is concerned; Budapest is easily accessible and it should not be a daunting trip for even the least experienced traveller. Prices are low and even the top hotels are relatively cheap. Plus it's easy and quick to get around (it's literally 7-10 minutes taxi ride from the city centre to the ProHair Clinic). Flight are also cheap and frequent.

I had my procedure to fix and extend my hairline done by Dr Mantse in December 2014. In a personal consultation, Dr Mantse estimated that roughly 1000 follicle units would be necessary to achieve the result I had in mind. Accommodation and airport-shuttle-service was scheduled by Dr Mantse. I was very satisfied with staying in Hotel Belvedere, which is just a couple of minutes away from the proHair clinic.

The clinic is small, but very modern and clean. The staff and Dr Mantse welcomed me in a very friendly and professional fashion. Dr Mantse took his time to explain me in detail how the procedure would take place. In my case, we decided for the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method. He scheduled two days with 500 Follicular Units each, which would take us about 5 hours per day. First step was to shave the donor area on the backside of my head. After that, he started to extract the follicular units by hand, until he harvested enough for the day. Then he started to implant them manually, with an amazing eye for detail and a zen-like patience onto the forehead area, which later formed my new hairline. Overall the procedure was not very painful, since the regarding area was continuously anesthetised by Dr. Mantse. I was able to watch a couple of movies during the procedure, which greatly helped to pass the time and stay relaxed.

After the procedure was finalized, Dr Thomas gave me instructions on how to take care of the receiving- as well as the donor-area. He for example advised me, to refrain of physical activities for a couple of weeks, so regarding areas can properly heal. I had no swellings or any other types of side-effects. No shock-loss in the donor area, no infections. It all healed very smoothly. It took around 13 months for the new hair to fully grow and show the same strength and density as my original hair.

I am very pleased with the result of the procedure. It gave my life a significant boost in quality, since I don’t have to worry about hiding my thinning hairline anymore.

The professionalism I experienced with Dr Mantse was just by the book. I can hardly figure somebody being more into detail and passionate about hair transplants. I gladly recommend him to anybody, who thinks about getting a similar procedure done.
