One of the worst companies that I have ever dealt with!!
One of the worst companies that I have ever dealt with!
After making a monthly payment, interest charges were added to my account which put my account over the limit by $100. On the same day that they cancelled my account, it was sent to collections.
I do not recommend this awful company!!
If you are in need of a credit card, apply to Canadian Tire Triangle! Amazing company and customer service there!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, almost no service at all. Put my on forever hold all the time. They wait until you loose patience you hang up first. Next time I called, same thing. Warning, don't sign on any extra services like Payment Support Plan. It is a complete scam. There is no way to make any changes or cancellation
Very Horrible experience with PC Financial MasterCard
Horrible experience. This is the worst advertisement to actual performance divergence I have seen in Canada so far.
I was on my own getting groceries at Super Store at Heritage Valley Edmonton on December 26 2025, when a lady approached me to promote the PC Financial MasterCard. I should have just listened to my instincts which typically avoid rigorously advertised traps. We debated the points of my refusal to enroll for over 30 minutes as I tried to wriggle out of the marketing gimmick that focused on points and credits.
At the end, not wanting to make her regret taking a role where she never wins, despite trying so hard, I agreed, warning that I do not buy things on credit because I don't gamble with my credit rating, and I already had bad experiences with advertised credit cards prior to that. She assured this would be different, that I could start using the app, and that I would get my card in two weeks.
January 16th, full 3 weeks later, no card delivered. I went on a hunt for this lady multiple times. Called phone lines endlessly to no avail, and eventually got her around the 16th of January. Then another promise of two weeks to receive card in my mailbox.
January 30th, two weeks, no card sent. Another round of fruitless search and the marketers are nowhere to be seen.
It is now February 20, 2026. My credit limit is exhausted. I'm getting warnings. No means of paying off balance. I was on autopilot calls for hours and eventually get a response that sounded more like fraudsters online than customer service people: imagine saying PC Financial never asks for sms codes sent to me but insisting I need to disclose mine to get help from you?
I am transferred between calls just as fraudsters do when one is not winning, and finally advised to wait for another two weeks for another reissued card. I'm also advised to download statements to find account number to pay off.
At this point, my balance stood at $1013.12, over the 1000 limited which I had actually not reached from my spending. I then paid off the $ 1013.12 to the account number.
On the following day, payment has not reflected even though my account was debited. My fine for default in accumulating as I was charged another $30 for late payment that was in no way my own making.
Very disturbing experience.
Does anyone know how to resolve this sort of helpless situation?
Just got a card with them and I'm…
Just got a card with them and I'm already regretting it. My approval email was supposed to come with a ton of information in an attachment apparently, but they forgot, and now I can't even access my account whatsoever. Absolutely ridiculous.

PC Mastercard sent my log-in code to my Gmail. i usually have the code to my cellphone. When I was unable to access my Gmail, PC locked my account. I have unsuccessfully tried to contact customer service, but only received an AI voice "assistant." It told me to call back during business hours. Why don't they have 24/7 customer service reps like other C/C companies? I will pay off my balance and cancel the card. I am sick of dealing with this company.
Worst financial institution ever
I wish I can rate pc financial
Poor customer service and holding credits that should be on my account
I had reported my credit card compromised so they cancelled it and I did get a new one. It took a long time. During that time I had two credits that have not shown up on my credit card. I’ve been trying since December 3 to get those credits put on my card and they still are not there. I have sent numerous emails. Nobody is responding and those refunds don’t reflect my balance speaking with other people this has happened to them as well very poor customer service very disappointed in this service as I love shopping at Shoppers drug mart but they also have messed around with my points and I have not gotten what I’m supposed to get as well in that area.
I believe the total amount that I’m supposed to get credited is $290 and it’s nowhere to be found. No one‘s getting back to me. I just wanna pay off this card and cancel it because if this is how they handle things I’m not interested and they’ve proved me right. Poor customer service no sense of urgency to help me disappointed
Everything started on December 3 until right now I have sent emails ( and sent complaints through their option on the app for the first few weeks when this happened) They had gotten back to me saying that they’re going to take care of this but nothing‘s been done not a trustworthy credit card.

Date expired and never sent me a new card.
Other credit card people are interested ,so good bye.
PC insiders Mastercard and call centre not great at all
PC insiders Mastercard is honestly the worst of the worst. The promised promo optimum point offers if you ever actually receive them take 8 weeks to see in your account. The Optimum program itself to receive any real benefits is incredibly daunting and not worth the exhaustion. When I compare my Scotia gold Visa Scene points for instance where you get your points regular and bonus points right away(no 6-8 week wait?!)..its not close. The Scene points show up in your Scene account instantly and so much simpler to earn points and offers. The customer deserves to see any promotion points they have earned right away.. which only makes sense!? Also, the customer service wait times when on hold at PC are 60 minutes or more and prove pointless once you finally connect. The poor CSR's are given only basic training re loyalty program etc and will only frustrate you into submission. The call centre experience for a credit card company is truely unexceptable quite honestly. It does not seem reputable at all. I have had many different loyalty credit cards through the years and this PC insiders card I have to rank at the bottom. In my view stay away and go with an "actual true" banking credit card. Its just not worth the frustration if its the points you are after. Thanks and take care
Pc financial
This bank is really good but as much as I enjoyed my time with them i was very disappointed with some of the way they operate. I didn't like the fact that I couldn't pull money out of my account for any amount that i tried. Called customer service and was told has to be $500 and under, went back to try and was still not able to access my money..
After seeing this page for this…
After seeing this page for this institution called PC Financial and applying for a product on 19 January and immediately having it closed apparently on 21 January as per "Executive Customer Care" based on "Bank policy" and "section 4.1 of cardholder agreement"; which state in summary that they can close it without giving any reason.
Strangely enough, on 19 January after a few hours of application and spoken to regular Customer Care they mentioned i was accepted and seemed happy genuinely then over phone to have me as client, not to mention that i even received the product credit card along with its T&Cs in my mail on 29 January and when i tried to activate it then it didn't work.
Also to note considerably is that when i applied and they checked my report on TransUnion only (not on Equifax which i have a Good score here) or the details i entered when i applied is all in good standing, my other credit card with another provider is always paid on time and looks good so there shouldn't have been any risk upon their calculations.
Yet, in the end I got rejected based on this "mistake" as they mentioned over phone and on the "section 4.1 of cardholder agreement" and "bank policy" vague terms.
I was wondering why was i and still am honest and truthful when I apply and even get accepted so that apparently 2 days later get rejected as they "re reviewed it" but me still getting card a few more days later and emails to activate the card when their Executive Customer Care treat customers that would've been new like trash although they're in good standing and honest? The above rejection says to me (since i was honest and NOT suspicious to anyone else and was truthful so far here) that they are either being picky on customers based on biased and unfair decision making processes. You can't use vague terms like that if there's nothing suspicious or wrong and close someone's account as you feel like it after you given them "hope" by sending them the card and confirmation emails.
This is a whole new level of mockery.
I would star them below 0 stars if I could for this indirect (and seemingly very "respectful"), biased treatment i received.
Stay clear from this credit card
Stay clear from this credit card! They are determined to ruin your credit score. First, they reduced my credit card amount for no reason, all payments were made on time and over the min amount. Then awhile later they went on a payment program, and my min payment went from $16 to $216 on a balance for $600. Then they had the nerve to put a late payment on my credit report when the program already made the payment. Good riddance to a terrible company!!
Customer Service
Phoning customer service took me an hour to wait over the phone. This is the worst I have ever experienced. How I wish they can improve their customer service.
PC Financial has horrible customer…
PC Financial has horrible customer service, and they have very long wait times when calling in. They don't respond to emails, including complaints. PC Financial is extremely unprofessional, and they clearly don't care. I closed my money account because of these clowns. Their app is very slow and full of error messages. Honestly, it's not worth it. Loblaw is a disgusting company, and I highly recommend you avoid them, including PC Optimum as they are known for scamming people out of points.
Virtual banking is NOT for me
I was originally enticed by the no-fee incentive and the additional Optimum points. But when fraudulent charges kept showing up on my credit card, PCF advised me to cancel my card. They issued me a new card, which IMMEDIATELY had a fraudulent charge on it, before I had even activated it! Add to this the long wait times which are a regular thing... I have transferred my accounts to TD, brick & mortar is always preferable when you have a dispute.
Bad offerings
Was pressured in a grocery store to sign up and then never got my welcome bonus. They also don’t let you redeem points towards a balance unless you have a statement that shows owing. Also can’t redeem for anything of significance at their partnered gas stations.

thank you !
What a nightmare company to deal…
What a nightmare company to deal with!!! It took several attempts to get this card due to the glitches in their on line application, which continually told me my personal info is incorrect. I finally receive the card and cannot activate it due to the same glitches. So I cut it up and write a bad review. Next month I get a bill for under 2 dollars. Calling and waiting on hold for over an hour multiple times didn't pan out so I wrote a letter. A customer service rep called me and said they would close the account as soon as I paid the balance. I didn't even activate the card and already it was hacked! He eventually agreed to close the account. A month later I get another bill for the same transaction. Now my credit rating is at risk because of PCs incompetence! I strongly recommend people do NOT get this card
The worst costumer service
Absolutely the worst costumer service, if everything is going well, you are ok, but if you will have problem, you won't be able to talk to human representative from costumer service.
Absolutely worst customer service
Absolutely worst customer service, my etransfer is stuck since 4 days, their email support says to call, and call wait times never end. If you need to call be prepared for at least an hour of wait time after which the agent will probably not be able to resolve your issue
