Side fitting roller blind in recess

Ordered a roller blind to be side fitted in the recess of my bathroom window. Blind arrived with some parts missing. Customer service sent the required parts. Had some email 'conversations' about how to fit the blinds in the recess using the supplied parts. Customer Service were consistently polite and responsive but ultimately advised that the blind could not be side fixed in the recess and having been made to fit the recess a refund could not be issued. The payment for 'size insurance' was also wasted therefore.
Subsequently bought a roller blind which I have side fixed in the recess successfully from a different supplier.
Interestingly the fixings for the successful blind are the same as the fixings for the Order Blinds blind which I've taken to the tip sadly.

We do state clearly on our website that our roller blinds are designed for top or face fixing only and are not suitable for side fixing. We always strive to provide clear guidance on installation requirements to ensure the best experience for our customers and don’t recommend side fixing as it is a harder/more fiddly installation method, leaving very little wiggle room during fitting and requiring extremely precise measurements for a successful installation.

That said, we appreciate your comments and are glad that our customer service team was responsive and helpful throughout your interactions. We regret that our product wasn’t the right fit for your needs and appreciate you giving us the opportunity to assist.

Excellent quality of materials and…

Excellent quality of materials and design. Instalation was a little tricky as the wrong instructions were included in the delivery for the brackets supplied, other than that the finished result was very pleasing and complimented our newly installed window.

This is my second set of purchases. Well made, accurate and at a decent price. I am very pleased with the quality. They will be my go to company if I need more in future. My tip, measure multiple times before ordering

Ordered my blinds

Ordered my blinds. ETA for dispatch 01/03 to 11/03. Contacted on 10/03 to be advised I would get an email to confirm dispatch. Contacted on 12/03 after dispatch date to be told they are not sure. Checked and advised it had been dispatched a day late and told me I should get confirmation email. No email received had to go on chat again to get tracking number and when I got annoyed they where surprised. Communication to customers is imperative with this amount of money. Will not be using this company again. Poor comms and late deliveries.

Prompt & good communication

Quick to send samples and samples are a reasonable size. Competitive pricing. Clear communication about delivery and/or delays. The blinds are exactly of the quality I expected.
I'd shop here again.

Great blinds and customer service team

Blinds came a few days before the estimated date, said they would be dispatched between 20th and 25th February and they came on the 18th February. Blinds are complete blackout as advertised and were £20-100 cheaper than elsewhere for the same type of blinds which I was a bit skeptical of, but the quality is great.

Only issue is that the corner was cracked on arrival but this is due to DPD, since the driver had said it got damaged during delivery, so can’t hold this against the company at all. Emailed with a couple photos and they have sent out a replacement for me.

Great blinds and great customer service, exactly what I was looking for.

I was concerned because my window recess is not very level and goes down quite a lot in the middle then back up again, but blinds covers all the gaps other than a couple mm on the bottom middle which is my windows fault and not the blinds, but makes no difference to the blackout of the bedroom at all as the rubber seal on the bottom of the blind is very forgiving for gaps.

Would buy again if needed in the future.

Excellent service and brilliant products at good prices

We ordered our blinds back in October. I was always able to speak to someone before I ordered, and when I did order, delivery was prompt. All the staff were extremely helpful when it came to any queries, and I would absolutely order again from this company. The savings were good, but the customer experience was excellent. Thank you to everyone that helped. We absolutely love the blinds we have ordered.

Pleased with my new blind.

Pleased with my new blind.
Accidentally ordered the wrong thing, I wanted a no drill one. Customer support were very helpful and suggested how I could attach it without drilling.
In the end I sent the blind back to have it made into a no drill with fabric covered top and it looks great.

Inaccurate Colours, Poor value for money

Summary:
- Responsive customer service, but very limited recourse if something isn't right as blinds are made to measure
- Rubbish remedy for an issue that was caused by false advertising of the colours and pressure to buy quickly
- Absolutely do not purchase without first ordering a sample of the colours as they can be *wildly* different from what is shown on the website (my "sage green" blind was grey-blue)
- They do now tell you when the sale ends, so you will know if you have time to order samples (which is why they get a second star)
- Their Perfect Fit pleated blackout blind is indeed blackout, but there is enough bleed-through around the edges of the fabric (between the pleated section and the frame of the blind) that you will still need curtains.
- Same product (Perfect Fit pleated blinds) can be bought cheaper elsewhere, I won't return to these folks.

Details:
Bought a Perfect Fit pleated blind for my bedroom off the basis of the colours as shown and described on their website. The colour was listed as "Soft Sage", listed under "green" in their filters, and shown as a pale, warm green colour on the website on every device I viewed the site with. I did not order a sample as there was a significant sale on, and no indication of when the sale pricing would end, which put pressure on me to purchase swiftly. The blind was £108 with measurement insurance and shipping.

When the blind arrived, installation was straightforward, though definitely a two-person job. However, the blind was a greyish blue, and the manufacturer had named the colour "Astral Eucalyptus". I contacted Order Blinds as it seemed like a mistake had been made, but their customer service assured me that it was the correct colour, mailing me a sample to compare. After a lot of back and forth, they agreed to show the end of their sale pricing on the website in future to avoid this situation happening again since there are no refunds for the colour being wildly different from what was advertised on the site.

I would publish photos if I could because truly, there is no way I would call the blind I received green. It's a greyish blue colour in every light. They offered me £25 off a future order of over £100, but failed to tell me that it could not be used with other promotions, so when I went to use it with their Black Friday offer, I was unable to. By the time they issued me the £25 refund, I was completely done with them.

I won't order from them again as the product is cheaper elsewhere, and frankly, not a high enough quality to justify the price. There's so much light bleeding in around the edges of the fabric that I still had to put up curtains.

Unhappy

Compared to other online blind companies I have used in the past they were incredibly disappointing.

It’s less than clear unless you read the small print that the measurements will be reduced by up to 1.3cm.

The insurance cover at around £10 will still require you to pay to return the incorrectly measured blind (due to lack of clarity above) and you also need to pay around a further £10 to get the correctly sized blind.

My advice read the small print or avoid like the plague and go elsewhere.

Customer service contact was good but got me nowhere helpful.

Won’t be using them again
