Booked a plumber for a simple leak called at 18.30 and was promised to have an engineer in 20-30Min . Plumber turned up after 1.5hours and I had already fixed the leak waiting for the plumber . He arrived Did a 5min job of checking all taps and I got an invoice of 269£ . While booking I was informed I would have to pay 49£ but nobody mentioned that a minimum of 200£ would be charged for a 5-7 min job and no use of spare parts either .
Absolute daylight robbery by a a group of fraud people .

Plumber came out 1.5hrs late for both…

Plumber came out 1.5hrs late for both my showers running only hot water. After 10 mins he said he needs to replace one shower with labour £450, other showers repair was “more complicated” he said. Refused to let him change it, paid the £50 call out and got rid.
Had a handyman friend come round and found I wasn’t using either of the showers controls properly, £0 fix as they weren’t broken. I assume they have a van load of cheap showers they want to get rid of.
AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!!!
Look for a local plumber in your area.

Expensive and dodgy but work ok.

Call best technicians on Saturday 7 September 2024 for leaking pipe to the kitchen tap said the call out charge of £48 I was ok with that . The plumber arrived within 2 hours found the problem replaced the pipe . I have no problem with the plumber who worked well and was polite. When he had finished I had a phone call from best technicians who told me that the bill was £418 cash or bank transfer,paid cash as I don't do online banking no receipt was given, I contacted best technicians for a receipt but no response. Something dodgy about this company and they are expensive.

Not to contact-I would have given minus but no…

I would have given minus but no facility for it. I contacted them on 23/8/24,told them that it was not an emergency but happy to pay call out charge of £49 but he had to tell me what was the fault before he proceeded for the repair.After 20-30 minutes he told me the elements of hot water tank were fine, it was the temperature set up of thermostat and element which was not set correctly.He had mended it and hot water should work.He asked me to pay £470.I refused to pay that sum. After arguments he said he would give me reduction and I should pay him£350. The way the person was dealing I thought there was no transparency.He did not tell me the price before hand and the amount he asked was unrealistic..He then reduced to £200 then to£150. I told him I would complain about his company and get everything checked.It appeared to be quite fraudulent.He sent me invoice of £150,I still refused to pay that amount and matter settled on£100. After 48 hours the hot water stopped working again. I contacted him when he said I would need to pay call out charges again and depending on the fault he would charge me.I would sincerely advise people not to contact this company and should check legal aspect of it and workers.

Scam BEST TECHNICIANS

Please do not believe the glowing reviews. See the names of the writers and consider them part of the scam.

This company has NOT been formed for five years as it says.

Non English lady took booking.said £49 call out then anything after ( I thought Philippine accent). Noise of people in background not call centre. Shouting and children. Said plumber would call me before coming so he understood job.

Morning plumber did not call. ICalled company who said plumber would call back.He never did.

I called back asking for company address details as I was suspicious.

I accused them of taking our data - to which a strong verbal defence. “ what data”. They nearly had our details.

The ad said five years in business but on Hmrc formation 2023 with no accounts.

Call handler became quite angry at me because I had suggested the company wasn’t real. He would not disclose company address, He started to raise his voice and so I ended the call, Then surprise five mins later NON uk caller called back.

Let’s be honest A true company would answer a call properly, respect the customers and have an appropriate call centre.

Man called back said he’d been trying to call me - he hadn’t I informed him I had lost trust ended the call. NON UK - a little aggressive.

Checked company out. No accounts and NON English. They are hooking people in taking details and scamming

They are all NON IK. There are no accounts on Hmrc and the company formed in 10/23.

The mobile line reaches a non English rep who called me dear, “ I’m trying to help you”, kept saying “my dear” - Philippine Accent. The language was not convincing and he talked over me. The introduction was not in company name it was “ Hello” which prompts people to ask.

Call me Sherlock but these people are Scamming Uk .

They now have a company Address which is in PARK Lane London. Accounts late and not filed.

These are all ill mannered people who I don’t trust. SCAM ! Avoid.

I’ve been scammed before and it only heightens the dangers. These if they exist are unprofessional unqualified people who do not care about the UK customers.

SUSSED . ,likely I’ll report to powers that be as these companies 1- take business from genuine plumbers . 2- prey on UK citizens 3- intimidate people . 4- Steal from unsuspecting customers. 5- are NOT trained and Qualified. Check out all the ratings ! Obvious and I only wish I’d done before.

We are as a nation meant to support these people ! How can we when they take advantage of UK citizens. ????

Fraud

This is a sham of a company. They charge a call out fee for booking a job, and when no technician actually turns up saying that they are not able to identify the parts to fix the job, and you try to cancel the job, they charge you the call out fee for cancellation. Never use these people.

Worst company ever.

I’ve decided to write ANOTHER bad review as they won’t reply to my other one. do not use this company at all, they’re all scammers, spent 4 hours sitting at my house doing nothing and charged me £500, THEN when i phoned up they tried telling me im lying about the amount i paid when i have my bank statement to prove, im in the middle of seeing a solicitor for my money back. again best technicians if you want to grow up and reply to me that would be great otherwise we’re doing this the hard way. and don’t offer me a discount on my new job like you have with everyone else, i will NEVER use your company again. absolute disgrace the way they all talk to you.

Follow up on previous reply

Since there is no way of responding to the previous reply I am starting a new review. The response to my complaint is simply a lie. The technician did not provide any estimate beyond the callout fee quoted when I booked. There is zero transparency about the actual fee, and this company operates a system of extortion plain and simple. Do not be deceived by the apparently reasonable tone of the reply.

For the record, their so-called skilled technician lied to me by suggesting that one of the lamps they connected did not work because of a faulty bulb. I have tried new bulbs and it does not light.

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking, scam, should have a no stars rating! Following a carbon monoxide leak called 247 best technicians stating what had happened and that certain checks were supposed to be done. Guy turned up, no i.d, no checks done, pressured to pay £349 for taking the boiler cover off! The company have declined to give me the technicians gas registration number as has the technician himself, the company should not be trading let alone advertising on trusted platforms 👎

Had a technician come down and tighten…

Had a technician come down and tighten a nut to fix a leak. Charged me £229 for 20 minutes. Fraudulent advertising. The leak is still ongoing. Contacting sunny the technician but he is avoiding my calls. The company themselves are just brushing it underneath the carpet and avoiding my responses. Going to complain to trading standards and take this to small claims court. Disgusting service

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. The same as everyone else. Quoted £46 call out fee. Plumber walked around looking for 20 minutes max, said they could do nothing, then the company demanded £229. Plumber stayed in the house until payment was made which was intimidating. The plumber even acknowledged the cost was extremely high but he couldn't do anything about it as it was down to the company.
We appreciate there would be a higher cost for a same day call out, but they misrepresent the cost over the phone initially then just inflate for no reason. They also would not give a breakdown of cost over the phone, pass me to a manager or pass me to the accounts team. I had to repeatedly ask for a complaints contact and finally got an email.
I have written a formal letter of complaint requesting a partial refund and if this is denied or ignored I am prepared to take this to trading standards and through the small claims court after reading all these reviews.

If i could give negative stars i would

If i could give negative stars i would. Paid a plumber from this company £600 to fix a leak and he didn’t even fix it, instead he walked up and down my street looking for a stop cock we didn’t even need to find. Rang another plumber and they put a washer on my pipe inside my house and it took 5 minutes whilst the plumber from this company spent 4 hours and didn’t even fix the leak and left me without water for over a week!! rang up the receptionist for a complaint and the attitude i got back was a disgrace and i will be seeing a solicitor for advice. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Best technicians if you see this please feel free to comment a phone number or someone i can actually contact to discuss this issue. Fully been scammed by your company. It was a 25p washer it only took 5 minutes.

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM..I called them because they had five star ratings and I read about ten reviews..all glowingly complimentary. Do not believe any of the reviews, this firm is a complete scam. I told them I had a faulty valve on my shower mixer taps: I was quoted a call out fee of £50 which was fine. the guy turned up, spent about an hour here during which time I THOUGHT he was replacing a faulty thermostat valve in the shower. I then got charged an extortionate £341 for an hour's work. The plumber said his car had been fixed with a tracking device and he couldn't actually start it up until I had paid. Half an hour after he left I went to have a shower. I couldn't turn the knob on the shower mixer and when it did finally turn water started leaking badly from the bottom. Called the firm to ask for someone to come back out and was told to "go and buy a new thermostatic valve and the plumber would come and fit it".
QUESTION...So what did I actually pay for if it wasn't a new part to fix the problem? Complete rip off.

ABSOLUTE SCAM

ABSOLUTE SCAM - DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

Charged an extortionate amount of money, hidden by a cheap £50 call-out fee promise.

Tried to charge us over £400 in fees for a visit that was less than 10 minutes total and ended up basically being just a consultation/diagnosis of the problem, with no physical work whatsover taking place.

The technician himself was very understanding and kind, however, the man who operates the company was incredibly rude and disrespectful over the phone and more than happy to charge this extortionate fee in a cost-of-living crisis for little to no work taking place. I hate to imagine what it would cost for an actual issue to be fixed/any physical work carried out.

Terrible terrible experience.

Scam?

A family member was with the contractor at all times - he believed that he was working slowly (& yes he knows what he is talking about)

He is still in the yard pressure washing the entire yard and even THE BACK DOOR because of the incompetency of this man who managed to "splash" our entire yard.

The contractor after completing the job in the back garden, he proceeded to walk through our house with his rods dripping all through the house, on the floor AND over bags of shopping.

I pointed this out he laughed & said he didn't know how that had happened.

Once he realised he shook the rods out on our top step.

We have had to disinfect the floor, empty shopping bags & wash EVERYTHING in the shower.

The cost was £639. I would appreciate a full breakdown of this cost.

I'm sorry but this is totally unacceptable. I can-not comprehend how this task (That we paid £147 for two years ago) warrants so much money.

I was told that your company was reputable, however if you employ contractors like this & charge extortionate rates I vehemently disagree.

I believe that this man has literally ripped us off.
I sincerely wish that I hadn't panicked to ring a contractor without checking for reviews.

£140 to change a flexible hose. £50 cancellation fee.

Tenants called these guys as they needed a flexible hose replaced (cost about £10). They quoted £140 to do the job. When I found out I told them to cancel. The cancellation was £50. It's 5 mins job with £10 worth of parts and they want to charge £140. This is cynical profiteering.
