Missing items

Placed two orders and one was delivered perfectly and the other one, only partly came. Still missing items from it. Trying to sort it out with customer services (and their rubbish customer services bot ?) who seem to think i only placed one order. Will give it a few weeks, and if still missing items, i will then open a dispute with them and my credit card company. Would I order from them again . . Probably not.

Second chance

This is an update to my previous bitter review.
After first ever disappointing experience I tried again buying from Oxfam online. I was encouraged by their customer service manager who issues their apologies for handling the case by online customer support agents.
My first parcel has not been found and costs eventually reimbursed.
Second delivery was smooth and took 2 days on spite of their policy saying that despatch itself may take up to a week.
Good effort and I hope they will keep improving on customer support.

Appreciating they are a charity, they are a total shambles!! Ordered and paid for a book. Didn't receive but the payment is showing in my credit card. Contacted them, got automated messages, then one asking for further information. Provided and still nothing. Poor sales, poor customer service. I am now going to raise as fraudulent activity with my credit card company.

Poor Standards

Books frequently incorrectly described as 1st editions when they're not. Volunteers who list books are too lazy to photograph them so cut and paste images from the internet. Email enquiries about items for sale are usually ignored unless you send the same email five times or more then you get a rude reply. Now they are charging you for returns when it's their own fault for employing incompetent staff who don't know a thing about collectables.

Wasting money at Oxfam

My hobby is collecting coins. I like to buy from Oxfam Online Shop, because it makes me think that I am doing something to help those less fortunate than myself, at the same time as adding to my collection. Without exception, all the coins are hideously over-priced, but I occasionally place an order. I am dismayed at how much money Amazon waste on posting coins out! From my latest order, 1 coin (easily less than 50g in weight), was sent by parcel post covering up to 900g and in a 26cm x 18cm padded envelope. This must have cost over £3.50 to send instead of 87p! The wrong coin was sent from my latest order - human error? I see that there is a charge for returns, and the phone number for queries on the Oxfam website is no longer in use. I have emailed to point out the error by them, hopefully I will get a timely response!

Great shop, lovely volunteers , great team work , lovely manager

Started working for Oxfam as a volunteer in December. It's been absolutely brilliant to work in Oxfam shop on blatchington road , Hove. There is a great team of volunteers, no bitchiness , and is lovely to be able to present lovely displays and update stock on shop floor. Lovely manager called George Thacker who is the most lovely, genuine , kind person you would ever meet, and he has been a star at the Hove store. I have felt welcomed and appreciated by George and the team.

Goodbye Oxfam Online

Used to love Oxfam online but they have decided to charge for returns I will not use them again. If you order clothes online you do not know if they will fit you or suit you. Oxfam's prices are far from cheap in the first place so a charge is unjustified. Goodbye Oxfam Online.

Sh*t show!

One item was the wrong size. Another had been posted without a postage stamp, I had to pay £5 to Royal Mail to get it delivered. I had to chase Oxfam up several times to get my money back. They ignored emails and finally got back to me saying: "After initially approaching the wrong team, I got hold of the right person and they confirmed that the payment should have been in your account last week. However due to an oversight your refund hadn't been authorised yet. My colleague is processing your refund manually and it will be with you next week - hopefully Tuesday - although I can't confirm this yet". What a sh*t show!
Oxfam online is badly managed and has poor customer service. They offered me 10% discount off my next order; you can get that much off by signing up to their newsletter!
I won't be buying from them again or going to one of their shops.

Over one month later, the refund still has not been received.

I have had to submit a formal complaint below since the enquiries team have failed to resolve my issue.

"Since the enquiries team has failed to resolve the issue within 14 days and issue my refund within 10 days plus 5 days for the refund to enter my account per your stated policy, I am now submitting a formal complaint regarding my order, which was returned to you by DPD on the 31st of January. After multiple emails of being told that my refund has been processed, it has been over one month now, and I still have not received my £23.95 refund.

I received the confirmation email from DPD saying Oxfam has received it back, so it is unacceptable for you to keep hold of my funds when I sent the items back to you the very next day.

If you do not resolve this issue and refund my account, I am going to escalate this further and report you to the Charity Commission and Fundraising Regulator and further to Trading Standards if I have to since I have been extremely patient and given you enough time to resolve this. So that you can't deny that you ever received this web form, I have also submitted this complaint to your email, xxx, and cc'd xxx.

Needless to say, I will no longer shop nor support Oxfam following this awful experience. It is not about the money; it's a matter of principle. You have a policy in place which you have failed to honour, and I no longer have the confidence to shop with you. I have supported Oxfam for a number of years by shopping online and have never had an issue like this with you. One expects this from non-charitable retailers, so it is very disappointing to receive this level of service from a charity."

Was sold Fake Pokemon cards…

Was sold Fake Pokemon cards listed as authentic. Probably some of the worst fakes I’ve seen in a while. They were photographed so carefully in way that looked authentic. Contacted customer services which is an absolute joke and was told to return them at a cost to me. Leaving me out of pocket for a mistake that they made. How can a charity like Oxfam willing selling fakes & items they have no idea about. Like seriously there should be some policy in place stopping this, if you can’t guarantee the authenticity of an item you simply don’t sell it. I’m sorry but this is just absurd.

Great products from a fantastic charity

It's so great that Oxfam has gone online. In the last few years it has become the place to shop for me. I can purchase presents for family and friends that are totally unique whilst watching the pennies and supporting a wonderful charity. There's so much to choose from and each delivery has been straightforward and every item has been as described. It's a real pleasure to use this online shop.

Counterfeit items at full retail price

Oxfam online- where used primark costs more than new...

But honestly, that i can deal with. What I cannot abide to see are the high levels of counterfeit goods at prices only new (genuine) articles could achieve.

I appreciate volunteers do most of the pricing, but they are not above the law. It is illegal to see fake goods- charity or not.

I think oxfam need to develop a team (like ebay) who check the items for authenticity and then put them online. People are going to be conned out of money, and that is not OK.

Fast Delivery

I ordered a CD album on the 9th and it was delivered to me on the 12th so only took a couple days. The case and disc was as described on the website. They marked it as blank on the invoice, but you actually need a "blacklight" torch to see the cover art on the booklet and disc - which was the cool feature that encouraged me to make the purchase and I was really pleased with it. Thank you

Customer Service is streets ahead of John Lewis!

Something I ordered hasn't yet arrived so I rang their customer service. The person I spoke to checked the order status and told me exactly what action she was going to take and promised to send me an email update when she'd found out more. I asked whether my order could now be delayed until a specific date and this was no problem. Well, after having had a week of experience with John Lewis customer service, I have to say that Oxfam is streets ahead!! Brilliant. I'm not left worrying about my parcel, and my needs were fully met. Thank you!

Never ordering from Oxfam Online again

Oxfam is great. And the Oxfam Online customer support team is helpful. But I am never buying anything again from Oxfam Online. Ordered two books two weeks ago. One of them was dispatched & received soon; the other was supposedly dispatched a week later but it’s been one week since dispatch and I am yet to receive it. Nor do I have a tracking number coz they can’t provide it for some reason. When I call to say I haven’t received the book yet, the answer is that all I can do is wait for one more week. They won’t even give a refund until 10 days after dispatch. So irritating! I don’t mind waiting if there were a tracking number, but at this point I don’t even know if the book was dispatched and all so I can do is wait 3 weeks from date of order and hopefully I receive it by then or can get a refund.
