can't contact onecall by phone if your a private car insurer, waited over 30 mins for a response on live chat, my first and last time insuring with this company
CHARGED £120 TO CANCEL
£160 for the year with gold breakdown is cheap until you come to cancel. I cancelled due to them not offering multi bike insurance. Being only 6 weeks into my renewal imagine my surprise at being charged £120 to cancel the policy. The breakdown is none refundable but invalid once cancelled. If you have no intention on cancelling then it could be a good move.

I was asked for proof of my 7 years no claims bonus, or I would be charged an extra £55.58.
I could only forward the email from my previous insurer showing this, which One Call said would do. I heard nothing from them and assumed they had received it. However I contacted them several days before this money was due to be taken and was told they had received nothing. I sent the emails again repeatedly, but strangely enough none reached them. So I sent it to a friend who got it no problem, but by this time the payment was showing as "pending" in my account.
So I emailed them to tell them that I would be contacting the BBC's Morning Live and Rip Off Britain programmes. Then the emails were miraculously received!
I was assured no payment would be taken, but they did take the payment, leaving me overdrawn and unable to pay my electricity bill.
I have now received a refund, but I am a disabled pensioner and every penny is precious and I now have incurred bank charges to pay.
I am a very dissatisfied customer and would advise against using this company.
I too wish that I had read the reviews from other customers who have been badly let down.

I needed proof of no claims from a recent van insurance policy and there is no way of contacting this company, keep away from any cheap quotes because you will spend double trying recoup the time spent trying to contact them.
The renewal makes no reference to no claims proof and will not be accepted by any other company, the portal has no live chat facility and no search to find it!
Tou are stuck in a loop of refer to the portal, self service or live chat none of which exists!! My new insurer even found two new numbers and they have been closed! the facebook page doesnt allow feedback i wonder why!!

should have a no star option, they wanted to change me £50 CANCELATION FEE & 2 DAYS INSURANCE . I took a policy out at 10pm on the 2/05/2023 and tried to cancel it on 10am on the 3/5/2023. In the end it was cheaper to stay with them because of all the fees. I though there was a 14 day cooling off period! never again

well got a letter to say they cancelled my insurance and id be insured till 09 04 23 but now there saying it ran out on the 3rd i sent my husband out thinking hes insured they pass you from pillar to post said they could not send manuscript out of conversations ill be getting on to the omnibus man they should not be able to treat people like this .tried saying the refund was 148 pounds it was 348 then said calculator did it wrong well out of order like every one else im going pay a bit extra and talk to a person not web chat to get cut of cause they cnt be bothered to talk to you unless there taking your money..

I have emergency cover with my home insurance. A complete waste of time. My boiler broke down yesterday and despite numerous calls I am still waiting for an engineer to call me. Now over 20 hours and keep being fobbed off. I have a medical condition and need to have heat and hot water. I am appalled by their service or should i say lack of.
Impossible to speak / chat to anyone in OneCall
I have an ongoing small claim and OneCall are impossible to deal with. Their telephone number is no longer taking call and the OnLine Chat refers you back to the phone number .. which isn't taking calls. I have emailed them with all the required information but they claim not to have received it. I will not be using this company again and would prefer to pay a bit more for a decent service.

I took out insurance and paid in full. They requested evidence of NC which I uploaded I then received a letter of cancelation with incorrect reason. There is no telephone number to contact and Live Chat is hard to find. I want my money back and no email or letter received regarding a refund of balance.

Long story short my car got written off 3rd party admitted liability from day 1 this was October 10 2022.
We re now in Feb 2023 still waiting for my money to appear One Call sent it to another car insurance that has nothing to do with the accident, 3rd party insurers sent money to One Call which apparently was supposed to go to my bank account 3rd party asked for money to be returned to them to put into my bank account but One Call sent to the company this was originally received by On Call December 6th 2022.
I’m constantly emailing or online chat with One Call to sort it out asap thy say 3rd party are not being helpful by getting in contact with them when it is the other way round One Call not responding to 3rd Party.( I have rang 3rd party and got through straight away).
It does not help not being able to ring up One Call.
I have now contacted Watchdog and the Daily Mail for help and to try make it more public to show what sham of a business that they are.
Unfortunately I found out Yoga insurance is another name for them.

If you want your mental health to fall in to a deep black hole then get car insurance with One Call Insurance/One Insurance/OC Motors! Whatever they want to call themselves!! I had a little accident over Christmas, hitting a wooden post and barbed wire. When I put my claim in, first claim and accident in nearly 23 years of driving I have totally fallen victim to fraud at its best and a massive scam to make money off me!
In a nutshell I have had to withdraw my claim and my Dad and Brother DROVE my car from the repair garage that the insurance broker conveniently also own (OC Motors Reading!) After they told me my car is a CAT N write off as the repairs will cost in excess of £15,700!!! Conveniently the market value of my car is £16,000!!! They also valued my car at £11k before trying to take 16% off that value because I apparently didn’t declare 3 points were on my licence for a minor speeding fine from 2021! After arguing the toss over live chat (ironically one call insurance you can’t call! Everything is done over live chat) for over two weeks, repeatedly telling them I had categorically disclosed my points and asking them for evidence that to confirm I hadn’t declared information, they provided none and concluded they would still be taking 16% off my claim! All dealt with by their complaints company One Insurance…which is registered in Malta!
Now, on to the fact that my car is absolutely not a write off by any stretch! This company, after demanding they send me a FULL breakdown of the estimate provided by their very own garage…they have tried to add items that were not even slightly touched! I hit everything on the driver side, the front bumper. The recovery guy drove it on to the back of the truck fine, no leaking, no strange sounds and no warning lights, and checked underneath…”there is no damage to the parts, it’s all cosmetic” According to this estimate, apparently I need new head lights both sides, new number plate, new back bumper, new exhaust, new sump, new side mirrors both sides…the list goes on! If I hadn’t taken photos of the car at the time I had the accident you would take from this estimate that the car had been hit by artic lorries, from both sides and front to back! and all in excess of £15k!!!
They are absolute frauds!

I have since been quite frantic, in a complete mental and emotional whirlwind, Googling this company and wish I had done this before taking out insurance with them!
They were fined just under a million pounds (including the sole shareholder personally!) in 2018 at the by the FCA for using client money to pay the shareholder, directors and fund their Malta based company…the same company who have incidentally dealt with my complaint!
I have of course escalated this to the financial ombudsman and money supermarket but have had no choice but to retract the claim and try and get the car repaired myself…at the real cost! Or lose my car to a fraudulent write off and be in debt with the finance company!
The fact that I have been paying insurance for more than half of my life and the one time I need to call on it I am completely duped and scammed!

Took out insurance with One call from a compare site - WHAT a nightmare from start to finish, they needed N.I numbers then V5 and then when that wasn't enough (never had this before with any car insurance), this went on for a few weeks, even though I had given the information previously, they lost it. After several text messages of them threatening to cancel the policy and the stress of trying to contact them as you cant even talk to anyone via landline and finding the live chat link is virtually impossible. Wish I had read these reviews before i took it out. So stressful worth paying the cancellation fee of £55 just to end the stress/anxiety. The live chat, when you eventually do find the link and talk to someone its obvious they are talking to another 20 people as you are left during mid flow conversation for about 10 minutes before they answer you back. AVOID -- AVOID --AVOID - PLEASE DONT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH ALL THE STRESS FOR THE SAKE OF A FEW POUNDS !!!! in my opinion im sure its a scam where they take your money and then threat to cancel your policy, you panic and pay them the cancellation fee just to end the insurance.
