Insured a motor scooter with them, but cancelled it after 6 months having sold it. Rebate on the premium, nothing, so paid in full. Don’t know how good the insurance is as I didn’t make a claim, but I won’t use them again
Charging of set up Fees!…
I took out a house insurance policy with one call on 4th March 2023. This policy was to run from 1/4/23 for one year. I was paying monthly instalments for this and they took one instalment on the first day.
on the 10th March I was looking at comparison of other insurance companies and found one much cheaper and offered more in its policy. i therefore phoned one call to cancel the policy that i took with them, bearing in mind that the policy wasn't to start until 1/4/24 and they charged me just under £50 for cancelling, claiming this was set up fees. I feel that this is disgusting especially as it was within the so called cooling off period! Unfortunately I have previously set up car insurance with them. Hopefully, I do not have to make a claim. God knows what they will charge for that!!!
terrible service
They have upped my house insurance from £276.68 to £853.58. Do they think I am in a flood/earthquake/war zone? I am currently trying to cancel but am stuck in a rotating website. Tried phoning but that doesn't work atm. I hate this firm and all rubbish AI contacts!
cheap nasty and dreadful experience
wow - what a crock of nonsense. stuck in chat queues, no ability on the website to make required changes. website has very limited ability despite everything pushing you to the website. AVOID AVOID AVOID! what a disaster . would never buy here again even if you paid me.

Raised a complaint on 17th January 2024 and still nothing.
ONE CALL MEANS JUST THAT ONE CALL and you cannot ring anyone to discuss existing claim it is only new claims. awful service do not use loosing us time and money and no way to get to work, no courtesy car or money to buy a new one in a cost of living crisis in the countryside. WHEN YOU LISTEN TO THE OPTIONS IT SAYS ONLY LIVE CHAT AVAILABLE NO WAY OF CALLING "ONE CALL" FOR EXISTING CLAIMS. Save your stress levels and save your money use somone else who is not just ONE CALL allowed!
I recently changed my vehicle
I recently changed my vehicle. The change was a like for like newer version of the vehicle I have on my existing policy so i thought I would be able to log into my customer portal and do it all online... think again you nieve fool!
After going through the various questions and hitting return a message comes up saying that I am unable to make the change without contacting the customer service team. They provide a number to call which was different to the one you can find online (01302245432) if anyone wants to try their luck.
Although it states lines open until 8pm Monday to Friday after repeatedly trying to call them from 12am-15:30 the recorded message tells me the lines are now closed.
I have tried the online chat which never connects! So I am out of options!
As I need insurance on my new vehicle I had no choice but to take out a new policy with another company.
I am also unable to contact them to cancel my existing policy and request a refund. And with 10 months left on the policy that really is a refund I would like to get.
Do not buy through one call Insurance!

Onecall insurance..crooks... Beware of this company because even when you opt out of auto renewal they will still auto renew and debit your account with there loyal customer major increase (doubled in my case) there is no way of actually speaking to anybody AT ALL.... The app navigates you round in circles.

Their very name is misleading
Their very name is misleading. Despite being called One call you cannot actually call them nor can you cancel their policy or auto renewal.
You can chat to them on a chat box but when you go on you will be, as I was, 24th in a queue that never moves.

I will never use this company ever again .It took me four days just to get a phone number .Then one more day to get in touch with someone .ended up with a live chat then after 30 mins was told i was with the wrong customer service it took another 23 mins to connect me to another live chat .this took another 25 mins i asked several times to PLEASE cancel my policy .

Purchased car insurance October 2022, have never been able to get into my customers portal.had to phone for ages to get a policy number. 12 months later still could not get on portal, again waited ages on the phone and have up.

Just received my renewal notice from One Call. From JUST OVER £480 A YEAR TO £938, THE ACCESS HAS JUMPED FROM A FEW HUNDRED POUNDS TO £5100.
Obviously, they do not want my business, No justification in either the new premium or the access, I am 71 years old, have something like 16 years no claims bonus. To me just another spiv insurance company. You cannot complain to the Ombudsman about the increase in Premiums but I WILL INVESTIGATE IF I CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT THE HIKE IN THE ACCESS, THINK IT IS HAS DISCRIMINATION ALL OVER IT DUE TO AGE.

Took me an hour and ten minutes to get through on the phone after getting a renewal quote for my car insurance. I had done quotes and got £200 less with a different provider than they were proposing. They couldn’t match this and could only lower it by £100, so I cancelled. Dread to think how long it would take to get through to make a claim!!
Now I am trying to cancel the home insurance policy for the same reason, and have received an email saying thank you for renewing…. the phone call nightmare begins again 🤬

I have been charged a 45% Additional payment for not proofing by NCB. When finally got in touch with someone on their chat after waiting more than half a day, they told me that and not accepting Fleet NCB, but, this is nowhere in the contract to see it. When I asked to cancel the Policy for this reason, again the fee was nearly half of the price I paid for the whole year.
Please, STAY AWAY, and pay a bit more for a proper insurance company so that they do not get dirty for a few hundred pounds.
Non-Existent Telephone Contact!!!
We have tried all afternoon to find a telephone number to contact this company re car insurance transfer! Failed totally! What sort of insurance company is this? After thoroughly searching yet again, managed to find a telephone number to contact which was for a specific use only. Got through to a brilliant guy who sorted everything out immediately! Perseverance eventually paid off!
Truly awful customer service
Truly awful customer service. The other reviews summarise it well, I just wish I'd seen them before taking out a policy that I then tried to make an amendment to the following day. no phone, no email and a chat system that started me 11th in the queue. An hour wait later I thought my issue was resolved, but no, and to resolve it I'm 22nd in the queue, my afternoon has gone!

Unable to speak to someone on the telephone as I do not have the "Platinum" cover and had to go online. Tried to change online but advised that this couldn't be done online and would have to use the "live chat" service. After 30 minutes of having to refresh One Calls live chat and not my computer, I was initially advised to use the portal which had told me that they couldn't change my details and would have to use the live chat. Which I did. And then ripped me off! Not being able to speak to someone and ask about options, and ask questions is very limited
I have chosen to pay the additional money because today I am fortunate to to be able to and need to be covered insurance wise.
One call insurance today has been Profiteering at it's finest and I will not be using them again when my insurance is up for renewal.
Today I was going to be charged whether I cancelled or renewed. All I did was buy a new (used) car and wanted to change my details. They also have charged me an "admin" fee. I will be sharing my experience with everyone I can!

One Call sent me a renewal quote for £300 more depsite having 15 years no claims. So I have found a much cheaper quote and tried to cancel my renewal with them. I rang and spoke to somebody who was persistent in getting me to try and not cancel with them and cancel my newer cheaper policy when I explained that it was much cheaper and if they could also do it that cheap than that is what they should have charged me she put me on hold and never returned on the call. I then received an email saying my renewal was not cancelled and i would still be charged. I then went onto the live chat and after waiting for ages finally instructed somebody to cancel my renewal. They again started to give me cheaper quotes than originally quoted. i kept typing thank you but my instruction is for you to cancel my renewal and they just continued to send quotes. When I became persistent i was then ignored, I kept writing in the chat but nobody would answer me. Eventually I said that I had screenshotted the chat to prove that I had instructed cancellation and I received a text saying my policy was cancelled. Very poor customer service and aggressive approach to cancellation.
A scam company?
Paid £158.22 for car renewal on 4th Feb. Had confirmation emails etc from one call thanking for renewal/ portal etc.
Just changed car and wanted to amend car insurance. Went on to portal but to my shock no data found from name, DOB, post code or email. Any data does not match their records???? I can only assume One Call have taken my payment and not implemented the policy. To get hold of this company is virtually impossible, zero customer service, zero live chat availability it is as if they don't exist or on a slippery slope to not existing any more? A complete overhaul of this substandard company from top to bottom is needed. I would like to know from One call why they have taken my money with no policy issued and no access for me to find it.
One Call I will be waiting for you to sort this out but I wont hold my breath.
