As much as I rather insert a cactus into my rectal passage than do this course for going 3mph over a 30mph speed limit I gave up on the shoddy booking process as it said it would email me a verification code which took over an hour to arrive and then it has expired. Also, my life isn't worth 3 hours of being dictated to, so I took the points and fine instead.

The instructor was far more unpleasant than necessary. I appreciate its a punishment but this guy was too much. He berated people, basically threatened people for shifting in their seats and made jokes about his dad dying and retiring abroad. Id take the points instead if I had known.
A hard lesson to learn and never too late!
I was v concerned when I pulled a speeding notice as I have been driving for many years with no points or penalties.
I did not fancy attending a face to face course as I would have been embarrassed to enter a room with others there. I opted for on line course which I thought would be more “ private”
It was not but I felt comfortable with the rest of the group and although I was by far the oldest there did not feel I was being judged.
The trainer, TERRY, was a lovely friendly man who put me at ease even before everyone had joined and throughout the three hours, not once did I feel uncomfortable.
He was so knowledgable it was , dare I say, a pleasure to have attended this course.
Having worked for many years on a busy casualty department, I have nursed many trauma patients brought in as results of accidents caused by speeders and never thought I could have been one of those statistics……till now!
Thank you Terry

They don't care
Pure waste of time
The "course" was provided by an organisation calling themselves Safer Roads For Nottinghamshire with an obese dyed blonde woman in her sixties in charge. She introduced herself as "Claire" and maintained that the course's goal was to reduce road fatalities, that she had teaching qualifications, she was an advanced driver and that Safer Roads for Nottinghamshire is a charity.
The "course" itself was a joke. No presentation as such, nothing that could possibly make anyone a better driver, never mind reduce road fatalities. They just shown one poorly made AI animation of a road collision, asked some questions about it and made participants provide content for the course by discussing in groups. Obviously it was just an excuse to take money from unfortunate drivers who got caught doing some minor road offence.
There is also no such charity as Safer Roads For Nottinghamshire. I wonder what this organisation is.

I am only reviewing the booking process, not the course as I have been unable after three days of trying to find a course at the location chosen (or indeed any location within an hour's drive). The website lists a location 18 miles away but when I choose it the website takes me to another location 48 miles away. There seem to be very few opportunities to attend a class-based course and I have been put off an internet course because of reviews mentioning poor connections and enforced repeat at extra cost. I am in the home counties, so am surprised at the lack of suitable locations. Tried calling on the phone line several times but get a message that no-one is available. The system seems to be run on a shoestring despite the fact that it must be a money-earner for the police...
IT ADVICE REQUIRED re booking system - browser to use.
IT ADVICE REQUIRED re the system and browser to be used for booking a course.
The speed awareness booking system appears to hang up on IPad.
The payment may be taken from your bank but that does not appear to achieve a course booking.
As with other online booking systems, it may be necessary to remove all online security from iPad before attempting a course booking, or perhaps use a Microsoft PC, but the workable IT options remain a mystery.
If bookings are only accepted during UK working hours (eg 9 to 5?) perhaps this needs to be made clear.

I had Hayley for my speed awareness and it was great, presented perfectly, really informative and a lovely group too! Hayley made a potentially long winded course enjoyable and worthwhile, so thank you!!

I couldn't get the website to load on my laptop - it just said "loading" and didn't. So I used my phone instead to register and pay for the course. It's a bit of a long and involved process but it worked. What I did not like was that there was only one date offered at my local course centre (although I had several times to choose from for that day for the three hour course). Luckily I was available for that date.

High recommended trening with Mark for all drivers ,not only for "road pirate "🙂
Poor online system
I received a ‘speeding’ ticket for going 25mph. I rang the phone number for my area to enquire where the speeding courses would be held and I was basically told they may not get enough numbers for any course to run. I rang the police who said to do it online but I just have an iPhone and no laptop. The police acknowledged it wasn’t ideal to do it on a small device but it seems as long as I pay the £100 everyone is ok. I’ve tried to book a course online and the link doesn’t work. From comments online many others have this problem where the screen just says ‘loading’. To pretend this is about road safety is false; it’s about income generation.
Remove videos immediately as strobe like it’s a disgrace on speed awareness course
Appalling , did not warn videos were strobe like ,became so ill , videos need removing immediately, could have gone into spasm had to sit in darkness, unacceptable!! Could have been life threatening, others complained as well could not stare at screen

One of the worst website on the internet planet. Won’t recognise the email address I signed up with. Also won’t accept online payment. Bizzare outdated system. Always check your bank statement, their payment system is absolutely rubbish.
Jazz mag
Issues with ID, will accept a work pass printed on the back of a recycled 80s jazz mag but wont accept a photo of a licence !!! No regard for the average working man and a £45 rebooking fee, need to check their own T's and C's as they aren't happy when questioned about them. If you're reading this I suggest, no I beg that you please use another service !!!! Guys were nice on the phone tbf though but still, £45 for a rebooking fee for a course with loads of spaces left, its legalised extortion.
Speed Awareness Course
I attended the NSAC yesterday at the Hotel Rafayel in Battersea. Like many of my fellow attendees, I was unsure of the format the course would take and what I would gain from attending.
From the start the two trainers, Naomi and Tessy put us all at ease. Their delivery was both informative and friendly. The majority of the group chose to get involved and engage with the process. I found it helpful, interesting and good to have some reminders on rules of the road.
If you are offered the chance to do this course versus taking 3 points, I would strongly recommend it.
Thank you to Naomi and Tessy. You were great.
I attended this course.
I attended this course.
I did not learn anything and least of all learn anything about my personal offence.
( I paid an extortionate £92 which is a lot of money for someone in receipt of benefits).
What I was hoping for was to be able to review my so called driving offence and talk through exactly what I did wrong .
I drive around very cautiously and always have road safety at the front of my mind.
I have apparently committed an offence which I paid £92 to what I thought be educated about.
I am now worried about driving at all as I do not wish to endanger peoples lives by not understanding the offence that I apparently committed and making the error of recommitting it.
I was led to believe that I would receive some useful driving education.
I could have honestly taught the class more in ten minutes than I got from the two professional teachers in a three hours.
