I am unimpressed by the recent reduction in distribution rate for Premium Bonds. Sends the wrong message to investors. The fixed term Savings Bond rates are also not very competitive.

Why are you sending me this, you don't arrange anything, I put up a standing order to pay you a fixed amount every month. You do nothing to encourage people to deposit money with you , and then expect me to give you a favourable review for doing the process of sending me a document for something I set up and paid for in the first place.

Good Products, but antiquated customer support and comms
Whilst the products are good, their automated call handle assistant is no help whatsoever and a pain especially when you just want to talk to a human being. Furthermore, they insist on sending your NSand I number. (if you've lost it) by post even when you've passed the security Qs and further credit check Qs. It took a total of 4 weeks of calls and waiting for post to get my account back online. Ridiculous. Thankfully on my 4th call I spoke to Jean in Customer Services who was brilliant - I just wished I got to speak to her in the beginning.

So I’ve been with NS&I for a few years now, never had any issues. I recently took out a 2 grand from my Bonds, but actually only needed one grand, so I transferred another grand back vier my on line banking, followed the rules and was done quite simply. The only slight panic I had was at the end I thought I had run of time to complete the transaction as it went to a separate page, saying you’ve been logged out. But it was ok it all went through. Maybe it’s a security thing they log you out as soon as you’ve completed the transfer, but as it turns out wasn’t an issue. Highly recommended people trying Premium Bonds out, it’s all tax free, can’t loose out, can only gain! I look forward to seeing how many more wins I can get with Premium Bonds in the upcoming months! 😊
