Sofa delivered faulty

Sofa delivered faulty.

Stupidly I spoke to one of the delivery people’s supervisor who assured me another sofa would be delivered and to use the DEFECTIVE sofa until a replacement is sent. I was upset at the fixed £80 for delivery and fitting price when purchasing however, this is my insurance as I’m sure I will have to take this matter further given that the initial responses I have had from NCF customer service BY EMAIL. I now have to provide photographs of the faults for the’ service and faults team ‘ to make a decision and I am now 2 weeks on. There is no decision, this isn’t a fault weeks, months on a warranty matter, the sofa was delivered faulty with cross threaded leg screws and sagging on the material.

There’s a reason I have always purchased high value products from Barker and Stonehouse, after sales are fantastic, the only contact with this company is by email, no contact by phone.

My advice DO NOT ACCEPT FAULTY GOODS and be wary with this company on the provision a replacement will be sent out, you will need to provide evidence for the ‘ service and faults team ‘ to make a decision . I can see my complaint rumbling on, not something I reckoned for and do not need the hassle especially over the Christmas period

First and last time I will purchase from NCF Living, as if you cannot speak to a service advisor about a complaint, more importantly they are undermining my rights as the product, delivered as allegedly new, is without doubt faulty and I have to justify my claim.

Will also be complaining in store to the Hull branch manager

This service is not acceptable

THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!

THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!

If I could give this company 0 stars I would!!!! Myself and my partner ordered our sofa 11 weeks ago, we were told in store that our sofa would be delivered between 6 and 8 weeks, but likely 6 weeks after purchase. After about 8 weeks we received a text explaining that the sofa would be delivered W/C 01/12/2025- it is Friday and still no sofa!!! Myself and my partner both work very stressful full time jobs, trying to locate our sofa has been horrific. The customer service is essentially non existent!!! They turn off their phone lines when they don’t want to deal with customers (and have been doing so for weeks) because they’ve lost our orders. Rather than communicating and apologising to customers they refuse to answer questions. I have given this company a significant amount of money, and they have given me nothing in return. They also make you give them a review in store as your buying your sofa- should have been an instant red flag- but I guess it explains why they have 5 start reviews. The only reason you would ever use this company is if you want to give yourself stress. I cannot express how horrific this experience has been. I have attempted to put in a complaint, I was told by HQ that the only way I am able to put a complaint in is by driving to a store (45 minutes away from my house) and do it face to face! They also went on to call me a liar when I said that we were told in store 6-8 weeks. DISGRACEFUL!!!

This is the worst place to buy anything from i pay cash and got told early October to mid October it is now November still waiting for a phone call for a delivery date complain to customer service and get the same answer waiting for the shipment in the warehouse it same old story try to phone them but get no one is a available at this time even when you phone at 930 when it open same old story if they say a date they are telling lies they take your money but delivered the goods they are a joke

Steve at hull

Went in for a look around and didn't expect to actually leave with two high quality new sofas.
Steve at hull was incredible helpful especially cause everything was going wrong, phones dying, going back to the car, then the card reader dying. Had a good laugh and overall really enjoyed speaking to him. Was funny and had a personality to which is also rare. 😅 wish him well.
