Very informative and detailed online training course. Excellent structure and well presented.
Day Skipper

The way the course is broken down into chunks is great. You can get a good feel for how you are progressing. Also, the instant feedback allows you to identify errors quickly and get back on track. The animations that allow you to step through each section are very helpful too. There is lots to cover in the course, it is very rewarding to have completed it. Thanks to Alan for answering my questions along the way. Much appreciated.

I have found online study difficult however the modular structure of Navathome made it easier to stay on task and progress.
There are some discrepancies between the online course and the RYA manuals for example MOB procedure however these are in areas where the practical RYA course is the more appropriate avenue for that knowledge.
Online assistance was generally prompt.
I would recommend Navathome for those who are time poor and can't find a week off for the classroom.

Great source of knowledge with a certificate on the back end. The final quiz was challenging enough to cement the syllabus. A variety of typos throughout and some questions, through a lack of context, lead to frustration but nothing is insurmountable and the assessor is patient. If I could fix one thing it’s making the app more accessible - it doesn’t narrow down enough to work on a phone and is still quite small on Safari so could be hard for many with not perfect eyes. Having said that, I did also manage the whole thing on an iPad from a couch. Solid value for money.

I liked the dry humour (no pun intended), and the glossary entry for “landlubber”.

Really great and informative course. It was very helpful to be able to learn the theory from home alongside my day job and then apply it when out on the water.

All the course and assistance are very well done.
Easy to understand and fast learning.

The course information is very well written with lots of good descriptions and video link displays.
It also provides excellent flexibility to work through topics at a pace to suit your own time, availability, and speed.

Coastal Skipper certification theory course.
A very comprehensive course with a clear structure.
The topics are clearly explained, and the exercises help to clarify the topis.
The regular assessments help to keep you focused and to gauge your level of understanding of the topics covered any your progress through the extensive course material.

Support is always available with well-structured answers to all my requests for help and further explanation on any topic.

Overall, the course is comprehensive, interesting and at a high level, but at the same time is fun and interesting to work through. I look forward to applying and building upon what I have learned through this process.

I really enjoyed the course and found it well worthwhile.

Course material was excellent, interactive and allowed me to achieve my learning goal with ease. The responsiveness of Navathome staff, their availability to provide feedback and mentoring as well as their professionalism was excellent. Definitely recommended.

Thank you for the excellent training. Easy to follow great interactive software. Excellent service.

Great course. I really enjoyed the challenge and the whole process. The price was very competitive as well.

The course was well written, easy to read and understand. The simulated radio exchanges and radio interface were very helpful. It made doing the test quite straightforward.
Alan really knows his stuff and is a very helpful and considerate teacher. He guided me through the online testing system and form filling patiently.
I'd highly recommend Navathome.

There is a real person on the other end of this online course. This makes a massive difference when it comes to getting feedback on your passage planning. I learnt a surprisingly large amount that I could transfer to my hands on experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone else looking to acquire skipper skills

The fundamental navigation course was very comprehensive and covered a lot of material. Excellent support as well.

Informative easy paced learning. Highly recommended for bare bot chartering

Excellent content - easy to follow and engaging! Really felt comfortable with the material ahead of the Day Skipper theory exam. Thank you NavatHome - I’d recommend to everyone!

In my opinion it was a well thought out and presented course, with enough difficulty in parts to get you thinking!

I found the course logical and easy to follow. Clearly explained concepts - I learnt a lot!

Generally easy to follow & succeed at. Excellent animations & interactive onscreen media learning. Some challenging parts, tidal curves for example. An enjoyable & achievable online learning learning experience.
