Terrible company. Hidden costs and adding stuff you don’t need. They don’t give enough time to cancel auto renews and they refuse to refund money for things that you don’t know you’ve agreed to. Today I clicked something and it cost me £9.59 - no indication I was agreeing to buy something just click, money straight out of the bank. If I could cancel and get a refund I would but they have that stitched up pretty nicely.

I had cause to call the helpdesk concerning my emails. It was great speaking to a real person for a change. Maks was very helpful and was able to understand the problem with my email storage. He explained in very simple terms that I was able to understand and start the process to put things right. Thank you Maks and Names.co

They have given me the run around. Take my money and thats it. My web site is still down after 2 weeks: I cant get onto my account their site so i change my password. I try to go back in it says invalid details. I then get locked out. I eventiually get in by changing my password again and raise a ticket. the reply does not answer my questions and you cant reply to it. i try and go back in again and my details are incorrect again. Its a nightmare. So i have called their support line and i have been waiting now for 15 minutes . a classic rip off company.
I give up. No answer.
UPDATE: it turns out that during the renewal process Names have lost the DNS nameserver records on my account. The fields were blank. I also noticed that they back dated my payment so have taken a months worth of service while my web site is down. Just appalling rip off company that are the most expensive on the market.

Charge you way too early giving too little time to cancel auto renewals. Beware or be fleeced!

Avoid these people like the plague

This has always been my go-to domain supplier since I found out that Godaddy were crooks. How did I find out? Oh glad you asked. Well if I forgot to login and found my PERFECT domain name and then quickly logged in, guess what? that domain had just quadrupled in price. When I queried this they said that it could be because others were showing an interest in that domain. Except it kept happening. What a coincidence.
So I swapped to Names.co. Cos it didn't happen with them. Except it did. Just now. 5 stars down to two.
