Definitely not "We pay what we offer"
"What we offer is what we pay" as quoted on their website. I received an offer (which was way below market value) and I accepted it as I have already bought a new car. Driver turned up, spent 10 minutes on phone then came back with minus £1000. Told him to skidaddle in no uncertain terms. May be handy if you're desperate for money but definitely not for me. I've just upgraded my car and I paid cash so I'm not desperate to sell, especially at that kinda money. It's a 9 year old car so obviously there are some imperfections but nowhere near £1000 difference in imperfections.

We’re sorry you were disappointed with the revised offer, however our valuations are based entirely on the condition information provided to us beforehand.
In this case, when the vehicle was inspected at collection, a number of significant cosmetic and condition issues were identified that had not been visible or disclosed during the valuation process. These included multiple areas requiring paintwork and repair, alongside further refurbishment work that materially affected the vehicle’s value.
We completely appreciate that no used vehicle is perfect, especially at 9 years old, and minor imperfections are always expected. However, where a vehicle’s condition differs substantially from how it was originally presented, we do need to adjust the offer accordingly.
Paying what we quote is a huge part of how we operate, and the overwhelming majority of our collections go through at the agreed figure because customers provide an honest and accurate description of the vehicle from the outset.
There was absolutely no obligation to proceed with the revised offer, and we respect your decision not to sell the vehicle to us. We do, however, wish you all the best with the sale.

I’d never heard of Motorflog before but I heard their ad on the radio, Googled them and put in my details for a quote. They sent back a decent price, and collected it from my house the next day. Such a quick and simple experience, I can’t remember the driver’s name but he was really polite and he made sure I was paid before he left with my car. 10/10.

Just sold my car to Motorflog. They called me before they came to collect and paid me exactly what they offered. They even paid me before they took my car and it didn’t cost me extra which was great, most other companies charge you to get paid straight away. Definitely recommend them 100%!

Car selling made easy
Car selling made easy. Had a headache trying to sell my car using other well known sites. Motorflog not only offered me the most but made it the easiest transaction from start to finish.
I spoke to savannah on the phone. No salesman patter just honest and genuinely helpful. Talked me through the process wasn’t pushy at all, wasn’t pestered or inundated with calls,texts or emails made the whole experience a breeze. Was then told it would be collected the following day.
laim phoned me the following day told me a time that he would be arriving, given plenty of notice.
Laim turned up on time were very friendly and helpful talked me through the process, did a few check on the vehicle and were able to answer any questions.
On a whole id recommend this service to any one trying to sell a vehicle that doesn’t want the headache that comes with it.

I would like to respond to your answer by saying that you are an irresponsible company. How is it possible to sell a car when you can digitally alter defects and even retouch photos? I’m not talking about defects that are impossible to see—that’s understandable. But your company deliberately hides defects from clients. How is that different from a junkyard?
Please take into account that when I wrote this review, Motorflog simply blocked my account on the auction platform. I am very disappointed that you behave so irresponsibly and unprofessionally.

We strongly refute the claims made in your review.
We do not digitally alter or retouch vehicle defects. Images are processed only to remove or standardise backgrounds for consistency — no defects are edited out or concealed.
Vehicles sold through IAA / Synetiq are trade and salvage vehicles, and are listed based on the information available at the time. These vehicles are often not retail-ready and may require repair, which is reflected in both the pricing and auction environment. Buyers are expected to review all available information and carry out their own due diligence before bidding.
Regarding your account, access to auction platforms is governed by their terms and conditions. Accounts may be restricted where those terms are breached, and this is not done without reason.
We remain open to reviewing any specific vehicle or listing if you are able to provide full details directly.
