Richard put in a lot of effort to bring our two requests - equity release on our newbuild and a buy-to-let on our old house which we wanted to let. When we contacted him, he made a personal on-site visit without delay and from then on always answered or called back on calls without delay. It was an enjoyable relationship where a sense of humour always eased our anxieties over difficulties with the lack of a guarantee for our newbuild and the need to keep extending the buy-to-let without losing the low interest offer. Just completed my second remortgage with MERP. A seamless experience as before.

Vicki was our main contact, aided efficiently by Michelle and Tom. Their assistance throughout the process was first class, they kept us up to date with the progress of our application and, when the first option was not available to us, due to part of the property having a flat roof, an alternative was quickly found. Responses to questions were rapid and thorough and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

We had been trying to raise funds on our property via equity release, turned down twice, due to non-standard construction, despite our home being only 8 years old and architect-designed. Enthusiasm and knowledge were second to none and so helpful.
Richard’s assistant Michelle was just as friendly and helpful and between the pair of them managed to negotiate a difficult re-mortgage but to good effect.
Having just completed yesterday the closing touch was a nice gesture but you will have to get these guys to complete your mortgage to find out what comes at the end. I would not hesitate to use this company again and will keep their number in my phone for future necessities.
