automated response, impersonal and offensive
I have complained against a parking fine, but instead of addressing the issue (I had to park in a undesignated spot as there were no other places despite having already paid for one), they send an automated response with no reference to my original complaint at all.
Out to rob the vulnerable!
This company rob the elderly, charging a fine for a elderly disabled lady parking over the parking lines so that she could get in and out of her car - she had to do this as there was no disabled spaces and she needed to pick her prescription up.
They refused an appeal despite having the situation and circumstances explained to them, then POPLA (who are just as bad) refused the appeal as they said the appeal code was invalid (the code Minster gave us)
This lady has paid £155 now after receiving further threatening letters and has left herself and her grandchildren short (she is the carer for two teenage grandchildren).
This is so wrong but this company does not care as long as they rake the money in.
Should be ashamed!
Thieving scam artists!!!
Con artists and theives! That’s what they are! On the prowl to rob shoppers at Meadowhall! No clear signage to tell you that permit holders only in partner and child bays! No clear signage what so ever! Other side of road a small yellow sign very small writing not clearly visible at all! Never known anything like this before at a shopping centre! Robbed me of £60 you can appeal it but then they’ll charge you £100! So basically you can’t appeal it or they’ll rob more money off you. Absolute disgrace! Will report them to the regulator! Meadowhall has lost my business and friends and family! I will make it known or social media!
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. Fining emergency service workers because of being over time due to not being able to finish work on time due to dealing with emergencies. My daughter has received well over 20 fines over the last 2 years due to this and even when she has explained what has happened they tell her she still has to pay. She’s even been threatened with court and bailiffs due to them not sending out initial letters. This company should be absolutely ashamed of themselves our emergency service workers are dealing with life or death situations and are not able to just walk away from a situation to put an extra couple of quid on!
Absolute robbers!
Absolute robbers! I wish I could give -100 but won’t be enough either. No empathy. The appeal process is a joke. They are out there to rob people. Looks like a company run by criminals. Astonished that they are allowed to operate. UK regulations are rubbish. You should boycott the businesses who use them at their premises.
Thiefs
Went to the Casino in Bolton on the 29th March at 4.45pm. Console on Reception not working. Told to write down registration no which I did. Received a £100 fine for the 30th March around 1am which was when I left the Casino.
Now apparently I have to prove I was there or the fine stands.
I really need this !!
Minster Parking = Demanding money with threats and no supporting evidence. They rely on people being too spineless to stand up to them.
How can the company improve simple stop…
How can the company improve simple stop being such rogues, directors Scott Binnington & Christopher Ian Wilson who I suspect is M Baywatch owner ,this being is tenth company have they never made a mistake, offered to pay for the parking plus their expenses, offer was refused,I entered one of the car parks they operate,I was looking for a pub missed the entrance distracted,I did not know I was in one of their camera controlled car parks,I stayed 1.27 minutes later on the way out ,I noticed,to late then to do anything about it ,so 155 pounds 8 months later I payed it just to get the parasite crooks of my back M Baywatch York based
Zero would be more appropriate
Zero would be more appropriate. Had a lovely day out in teeside meeting up with my daughter and her partner shopping for holiday clothes and kitchen utensils. Afterwards we had a bite to eat in Nandos before heading off home to Sheffield. Never saw a parking sign and thought it was the same principle as Meadowhall free parking no limit. A few days after our return slapped with a hundred pounds fine for overstaying in the car park. We were literally there 5 hours which isn’t really enough time to peruse all the shops as there were some we didn’t go in. Spent a fortune nevertheless so with the fine on top it pushed us over the edge. Will not be going to Teeside retail park ever again and neither will my family or their partners. Lovely day out ruined but not going to appeal as looking at these reviews it wouldn’t be worth it. Rang the Centre management and was told they would pass the information on but I doubt it . Croc of 💩
Mr D Turpin would approve.
Keyed my reg, received a ticket/ receipt and still got a fine for £100 /£60. The ticket machines and cameras are not synchronised and provide false information. Appealing was futile. More threats and intimidation of court action and further cost. Motorist are seen as a 'Cash Cow' by these firms - As reported in the Daily Mail.
****DO NOT USE THIS FIRMS CAR PARKS***
Cartel. flouting the law
These guys are flouting the law, do not use. They refer you to POPLA for another appeal, but they are hand in glove with each other. This is more than sharp practices, this is a cartel!!!
This company is awful and just…
This company is awful and just fraudulent. Reported to actionfraud.police.uk
If you purchase a ticket, they're relying on you having thrown it away after a few days and issue you a fine. 1000s have been scammed by these criminals this way. We are now going to take them to court, not just appeal the fine. We still have our ticket as evidence. Utter tossers! People have ended up with CCJs and they should report them to the police, linked above, immediately.
Beware, theft
I accidentally put my own car’s registration in the machine when paying the parking fee for my wife’s car. Appeal is pointless they just refer you to POPLA, an association they pay to represent them, who just uphold the ‘demand with menaces’ notice. I proved my case, beyond reasonable doubt, with my ticket and the V5’s for both vehicles but they ignored this and MB pursued the money. They make it impossible to contact them so it very difficult to pursue further. I paid the £100 demand, less the parking fee I paid for the car that wasn’t there and they are now pursuing me for that £2.50.
Companies House will give the names and addresses of the owners if anyone wishes to write to them.
WARNING
See you in court!!
WARNING. Do not use their car parks. Their ticket machines are faulty, they have poor lighting and poor signage. The payment options are confusing, misleading and not fit for purpose. Complaints and appeals are either ignored or rejected. Find somewhere else to park and don't give your money to this rip-off firm. Sharp practices. !!!!
Where do we start!!
Where do we start! I visited a leisure complex with my children in July 2023! Yes 2023! Had a lovely day out. Not long after received a PCN. Challenged it immediately, this was rejected, appealed again rejected even despite providing booking confirmation and payment confirmation. All of 2024 I was badgered by Gladstone solicitors whom act on behalf of Minster. This is where it got interesting to say the least. (They will be getting a separate review). Was met by unhelpful staff who even hung up on me, failed to respond to emails in a timely manner. So off to court we went in January 2025! Needless to say I WON the case a £55 fine at the start and they wanted £455 in court! Robbers! This company needs to go on a case by case basis and not some robotic system that could have you end up
with a ccj for a parking fine. Distressed doesn't even come close to how this whole carry on made me feel and really pushed me over the edge. Right is right at the end of day. I will be very cautious about car parks going forward.
bunch of nonces
Most unreasonable and pathetic behaviour of Minsterbaywatch
My tenant and I (Landlord) went to the Wolverhampton Council and parked my car at St Peter and St Paul Catholic Church, Wolverhampton WV1. I entered the car park at 13.21.47 and exit at 14.12.17 (50 min and 30 sec although I paid for 2 hours) on 25/07/ 2024.
When you call the phone number to pay the charges, the audio message speaks the car registration number of your car and asks you to confirm it and the period you wish to park. I paid £2.45 by Debit Card for 2 hours but used it only for 50 min and 30 sec. (less than 1 Hour). After the payment received, the audio machine speaks and tells you the exit time.
On 01/08/2024, I was issued with a fine of £100. I appealed which was rejected and increased the fine to £155. I also told them that I am a 78 years old and a retired person with heart condition and under going treatment. Therefore, I do not need stress and anxiety that deteriorates my health.
On 23/01/2025, I received a SMS from Gladstones Solicitors demanding the payment. I explained to them that I appealed and it was refused. They told me that the matter will have to go to the Courts and I accepted their challenge since I have the evidence of payment.
I am most astonished that to recover a small fee Minsterbaywatch are prepared to go to such a length and spend hundreds of pounds (GBP). What sort of administration have they got? It's a pathetic administration.
Teesside Park shopping experience ruined
I won't be returning to Teesside Park anymore. Fined for giving them my business for 5hrs and 3 minutes. Didn't see the signs tbh as it was so busy getting in and out and when your not expecting to have to pay to park or have a parking time limit, i mean when did this even become a thing? Then I probably spent longer than I normally would shopping in Teesside park due to the time of year and exceptional busy shops.
I would appeal but after reading other reviews, I would clearly be wasting my time. Let's see how long it is before we see empty units at Teesside Park when people go elsewhere to shop!!!
Disgraceful!
ZERO STARS
ZERO STARS - Dysfunctional Administration - Parking Charge fine issued to my wife for a car she traded in to a garage over four months previously!
Filled in the transfer liability online and got no response from website after pressing "submit".
This is because the Minsterbaywatch website does not acknowledge receipt of the transfer of liability notification!!
An email to their enquiries received - We do not discuss any matters relating to any specific PCN over the telephone or engage with regards to any correspondence outside of the appeal process.
Not helpful.
In a subsequent email again asking if they had received the previously submitted liability transfer information I received - initiating further correspondence will not be responded to!!
Incredible, I take it they have never heard that the that in law parties should be encouraged as far as possible to settle their disputes and to fully and frankly put their cards on the table in order to do so.
I wouldn't give them any star if I…
I wouldn't give them any star if I could. They sent us a parking fine of £100 We parked lawfully via JustPark on Shannon St, Leeds, and I showed them the receipts and booking, yet they said they didn't have the registration of our car on their list of parking. Not our fault, we showed them the booking showing the car reg etc., won't be using them again, and won't be paying either.
Scum taking money from people that are…
Teeside park retail should be ashamed of themselves….Scum taking money from people that are going the the retail park to keep them in business, I blame the retail park for letting scum like this rob people of 60 to a 100
