Seems like im been ripped off with service charge that I knew nothing about moved into a new place, no help nothing from them. Meter must be on really high tariff, and they wouldn't check, wouldn't sort me a card, doing it online and electric being eaten. Been on phone numerous times,with no help
AVOID METROPREPAID. If they messed up your meter, don’t argue—escalate. Demand a refund, wait for the "No," then go straight to your bank for a dispute.
Pro Tip: File a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman (FOS). It’s free for you, but costs them £750 every time regardless of the result. With more people doing this bank will stop doing business with them.
The service was good and Zainu was excellent, responding quickly.

Debit card form never works and they removed PayPal as a payment option. It's been 3 months since I tried to top up with debit card with no luck. Different cards, different browsers.... and I ain't using their premium rate phone number. Why do they have to make it so difficult??? 😔

Heads up to everyone using Metro Prepaid! I just topped up £50 and they snatched £5.73 as a 'service fee'. That’s a massive 11.46% hidden charge that isn't clearly stated anywhere for the buyer.
This is a total rip-off. Under the Consumer Rights Act, all fees must be transparent before you pay. Metro Prepaid is hiding these commissions, and most people don't even realize they are losing over 11% of their money before they even turn a light on. Check your receipts and spread the word – don't let them get away with these hidden costs!

Matthew really helped me with my first payment on my new meter. I am not particularly tech savvy and it kept coming up with error messages. Matthew asked me to video what I was doing and send it via WhatsApp. He sent me codes to put in and it worked! I was worried that I would be without electricity over the weekend but he talked me through it. I honestly cannot praise him enough. Thank you!!!

Twice I’ve needed to call on Metro & both times they were excellent in getting things sorted out. I can’t remember the lady’s name I spoke to first but she was really helpful in clearing up a complication a few months ago and about ten mins ago I had the pleasure of speaking to Khabane who was a great help too.
