Excellent experience

Everything was great! The person answering the phone was very professional and kind. The doctor called me back in approximately 10 minutes and he was very caring in discussing my problem. He wrote a prescription which was waiting for me at the designated drug store. My experience was excellent!

Absolute waste of money

I used the online portal to request an appointment for a sprained ankle. I was of course looking for an option that allowed me to stay at home and rest since I am in a lot of pain as well as avoid any unnecessary exposure to COVID19. So I quickly received a call back from a provider and she immediately recommends I go to a PCP or Urgent Care. Now my grievance is that I assumed that I would be referred out by the provider but instead I just paid MeMD 65 dollars for a 4 minute I repeat 4 minute "consult" in which I was told to go PCP or Urgent to spend an additional 75 dollars. If there were clearer guidelines or expectations set on what the providers could actually do for me I would have waited until the morning to just go in to Urgent care and spend the one time fee of 75 dollars to get actual care and the X-rays I might need instead of being charged for answering the phone call. I was literally fighting back tears on the phone, the provider said the call was considered medical advice and that I would have to be charged. This has more than doubled my medical expenses for this injury. I feel completely taken advantage of. It further solidifies for me that healthcare is a BUSINESS and MeMD is just that. Do not expect them to do right by you not even in your time of need.
I also immediately called the helpline for help only to be told that my request for refund will most likely be denied since the provider spoke to me. And that I will have to wait 48-72 hours for a for sure answer.. when the money has been taken out of my account of course immediately.

Talked to customer service before hand

Talked to customer service before hand, they answered all my questions and told me everything should be fine and the meds I needed was not a controlled substance and to go ahead and make the appointment. I preceded to do so. The "doctor" who I spoke with didn't even want to listen to what I had to say, the call lasted less than 2 minutes, I couldn't understand him very well because of his accent, but I'm out $67 just for him to tell me to go to urgent care or the ER, when it wasn't even an emergency, it was just meds to get me though a month was all I was asking for but nope. The people are MeMD do NOT care about you. Save your money, and please don't spend anything on this app. They also lied to me, I used their service before when I had gap insurgence, they gave me a new meds and I came back and asked for a refill no problem, I come back again with no insurance (have to wait until enrollment period) and I'm treated like crap. Trust me and do NOT spend your money here, I'm out $67 but if you listen to me you won't be. Also the man I spoke with I don't even think was a licensed professional the way he acted, doctors are suppose to help take care of you & have wonderful bedside manner. Not the man I spoke with. I will never use your app again, you need to be shut down because it looks like a scam. Paid $67 for a less than 2 min phone call, just to be told to go to the urgent care when its not an emergency. What a joke this place is.

Was that even a real doctor

Was that even a real doctor? I spoke to a “Dr” for one entire minute. Yes, 60 seconds, and part of that was spent with him trying to get off the line. He came across cold, and did not want to discuss my symptoms, did not ask me ANY questions. Just instantly prescribed me a medication with no details at all. I had to actually stop him from hanging up to ask the only question I could squeeze in. It didn’t feel good, or comforting. Did I even get the right medicine? Who knows. And I did call and tell someone, who just said “sorry you had a bad experience”. Too bad in life sorry isn’t an action. I want to say I had a good experience, but I did not. A dr should at least let you describe your symptoms to make sure your getting the right care. What a bummer.

You get scammed into spending $67 dollars instead 25. Moreover you are not talking face to face with the doctor.

Fast service

I needed to see a doctor and I called MEMD. The representative I spoke to was nice and helped me right away. I spoke to the doctor and she helped me get a doctors note for work.

I’d recommend using MEMD for non-emergency needs, especially during the current pandemic. It is fast and convenient. Will use again in the future!

I had a great experience

I had a great experience. We reviewed my symptoms and decided on what medication was needed and within a day of taking my medication I was feeling better. I would highly recommend.
