Caitlin from Mel’s travel went above and beyond to make sure I could get a good affordable family holiday. Family of 8 to Gran Canaria all booked so easy to use!

I've booked several holidays and City breaks, I wouldn't use anyone else, all the staff are excellent at Mels , Ferryhill..and are able to give any advice you may need.

Iv used Mels Travel for the last 3 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Nothing is ever a bother and will try and find the perfect holiday to suit our budget.

This has been a big ask, as we must fit a certain criteria for certain members of our family.

This year, Caitlin helped me sort out a last min holiday for the school hols and has got us a fantastic break not only within budget but a gorgeous apartment in Gran Canaria.

Totally stress free and now looking forward to our holiday.

This is our 3rd holiday we have booked through Mels travel, the service has been excellent and nothing has been any problem. Would definitely recommend booking with Mels travel a day we certainly will be again.

We’ve booked 2 holidays now with Shannon at Mel’s travel in Coxhoe. First one was our honeymoon and Shannon was so knowledgable about Mexico and the right areas to stay. Second is our friends wedding next year in Cyprus! Both times she’s managed to beat TUI price too which is a win win! Felt so at ease booking and no pressure at all esspeciallt when I kept changing the hotel and ideas! We also got our Currency for Mexico too and the rate was amazing again with a better rate than others! Wouldnt book anywhere else

I booked with mels last year and caitlin sorted our holiday out fantastic service such a pleasant young lady I've also booked for next year caitlin wasn't in so lyndon I think that was who it was sorted it out he was so lovely and helpful I wouldn't go anywhere else such a lovely friendly shop thankyou so much xx

Mel travel have booked 3holidsys this year for us 2026 and last year 2025 they are so friendly and helpful and spend a lot of time messaging it was so easy to message them and get quotes. The staff have all being so helpful and friendly with all 3 booking this year. I will also use them. Definitely recommended Mel’s travel.

A local company using local staff and working with local people. Nothing is too much bother for Mel and the team. You are always served with a smile and a case full of enthusiasm. Ask a question and they will give you an answer. We have used them for the last few years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

We’ve just got back from a 18 night holiday to Thailand. From initially enquiring with the places we wanted to visit, to booking and completing the holiday, everything was perfect. The itinery was perfect, and also had 2 internal flights included. Even when we had an enquiry whilst away regarding a transfer time, the team at Mel’s travel responded to our email within the hour. Couldn’t recommend enough!!

All the girls in the shop are very friendly, helpful, and very professional and I always get a good deal.
