Marvel have been a professional team from our first meeting until the completion of our work. The one thing I got a little apprehensive about was paying for the work upfront and then waiting for it to be installed it was always at the back of my mind,"will they turn up", When they did turn up it was at 8.00 am as promised and the team worked relentlessly through the day. They were knowledgeable and courteous at all times. They came back the next day to finish off along with the electrician who also put a shift in. The only issue I have was that the electrician couldn't connect to the WiFi. It's been ten days since the installation and noone has been in touch with us to come and connect it.

My heat pump and heating upgrade was installed over two days, 6/7th August by Marvel Heating & Renewable Energy. The planning process from start to finish thoughout has been to schedule and on time delivery. We are delighted with the finished project. Dwain and his team were knowledgeable and finished the installation to a high standard. The installation teams were efficient and all work was completed to a high stardard. The old radiators and materials were removed the next day. The attention to detail & follow-up has been customer focused and appreciated. The system has been commissioned and is working perfectly.

From initial visit by Nigel, walkthrough with Dwain down to the heat pump and soler panel fitters and the electrician everything was excellent. Start date was agreed and we were telephoned the day before to confirm the names of the heat pump fitters. All work carried out neat and tidy, fitters were polite. Rubbish and pallets were collected within one week. Everything is up and running smoothly. I have read many of the reviews and cannot fault the personnel involved or the work carried out. On the work carried out for us i would recommend them.

We looked at 9 different heat pump installers. A visit by the Marvel salesman, Adam, clinched it for us. Very knowledgeable and not at all pushy. Marvel were also very competitive on price compared with many larger companies.
We had our heat pump installed in May 2025. The young men who carried out the work were outstanding. The plumbers completed their work in under 2 days with a minimum of disruption and no mess whatsoever. The electrician went out of his way so as not to disrupt our home.
There was a delay before our solar battery and inverter were fitted. When they were installed it was more of the same - a very professional young man who took pride in his work.
The overall result is we now have a very smart ASHP and a fully functioning solar battery which are the envy of our village.
If you are looking to upgrade your energy system then I would recommend that you talk to Marvel. We are very happy with our installation which took place without any mess, an absolute minimum of disruption and did not cost the earth.

From the moment Adam walked through the door, he seemed honest and straightforward. After meeting Mr. Marvel himself for the technical walkaround, I really felt I was in good hands with my decision. Craig and Darius, who installed the heat pump were some of the nicest guys I have come across, their work is impeccable. A few days later I got the solar panels up and running, and it was such a smooth process from the electrician to the roofers. One of the best companies I have come across, not just from the quality of work but also aftercare and ease of speaking to. Worth every penny to use them!! Thank you

The organisation by office staff has been hit and miss, they say they have new staff who they are training up, so hopefully, for the sake of future customers, this happens.

Initial contact with Marvel was great, we dealt with Adam who couldn’t have been better! Explained everything in detail. Survey of the house completed and work agreed and booked, paid the remaining balance with the chap who came to do the technical walkthrough.
All good until the day after paying we received a phone call that there would be a two week delay due to staff shortage.
This is fair enough and although a bit of an inconvenience, it happens.
Work scheduled for a further few weeks down the line.
Installation day comes and first day goes well. Scaffolding was put up (which we didn’t know about, although it was not a problem). The old boiler was removed, new one installed. Second day, electrician came to get everything working and commissioned. Day went well but there was a part missing meaning the system would not be fully operational until the following week. (This was Thursday).
In fairness to the electrician, he did set the boiler to heat up water and this did work until the Friday evening, we then had no hot water until the Monday when the work was finally completed.
Overall the workmanship was good, staff were clean and respectful and tidied up after themselves.
I would say we had a good experience with Marvel and I would use them again.

From the initial meeting with the salesman, Keith, to the installation and commissioning of the air source heat pump system, we found the Marvel team to be very professional, knowledgable, efficient and friendly. The whole process of site evaluation visits and system installation went very smoothly, and anything I asked was answered. 2 months on the system is working well, and no problems with hot water supply for baths and showers. We're very pleased with the deision to move to a heat pump, and to use Marvel to install it.

The Pre-Work Technical Assessments were 4 in number and very detailed - no complaints. However, from the point of placing the order and paying a substantial deposit:
* All went deathly quiet; the job just fell off the radar.
* Very poor communications / follow up
* 6-month lead time to installation
* Missed appointments due to 'No Shows' by trades.

The tidiness of the actual installation was excellent. The installation team were very good guys and they respected my home and the demands of keeping a family in it during the works (1 week in duration). Albeit there are a couple of post installation issues needing rectification.

The post-installation rubbish removal team arrived with no appointment having been made. Hence, failed to take away multiple old radiators - which I've now paid privately to have removed.

At the time of writing it's the height of summer, so I can't comment on how effective the system is. Hopefully we'll be warm next winter.

I feel you may have misunderstood this, I can 100% confirm that we do not offer £500 discount for a good review.

At Marvel we run a scheme that allows our customers to benefit from giving us good honest reviews, speak to potential customers and possibly allow visits to their install. The £500 discount is to sign into the scheme as part of our works, there is no request that the review must be good as we accept any feedback and turn it into a positive and improve what we do or offer.

This review will also be discussed at our weekly internal meetings, we will look at how you may have misunderstood our scheme and if any changes were needed to be made.

As for the running costs calculation, this can only be a rough calculation until you have a full technical assesment and heat loss survey, you were offered this at a cost of £199.99 and rejected this, until this survey is completed no company would be able to provide you with anythng more than a rough quote.
If you wish to discuss this I am available to do so and help put your mind at ease, without our customers and our customers feedback we are nothing, so why shouldn't we incentivise them to help make us better.

I feel a 1 start review is harsh here but thank you for the constructive feedback and take care.

Marvel offered me an install of an ASHP to replace my old boiler at a very special price as they were going to use the install at my house for further promotion's.

After having paid my full deposit I waited for several weeks for the install but things were moving very slowly. Due to this and some other problems I asked Dwain to cancel my order. Dwain took a while to sort things out to refund my deposit but he was an absolute gentleman about it and finally refunded the full deposit.

I have to add that my daughter, who lives in Leeds, got a lot of work done from Dwain including underfloor heating and Marvel did a great job there. But with my contract, unfortunately things didn't transpire as expected.

Perhaps it was the low price of the full contract which hindered the completion at my house.

At any rate, I wish Dwain and marvel a best of future.

The whole experience started professionally and in a nice atmosphere. The salesman visited my home and we had a nice conversation about all possibilities and the full process of installation of a heat pump. After agreement was reached, all went smoothly (contract signing, technical inspection, heat loss inspection/calculation) until the installation date. I would like to note that it has been mentioned during all visits and agreed that I do not accept subcontractors to install a heat pump (my previous experience), and that the gas boiler will be disconnected at the end of installation to keep heating and hot water. Installers came early in the morning and had no idea what needed to be done and what had been agreed upon. Unfortunately, after walking around, the first thing they would like to do was to remove the boiler. As I disagreed with this, the installation team collected all the tools and disappeared within a few minutes, making impolite comments, before I even had a chance to contact the office. Later, I had to spend lots of time and contact the company numerous times to arrange a new installation time. The new installation team, this time employees of the company, came on time and from the beginning showed a professional approach to the client. Discussed all stages of the installation process. The job was done to high standards, including final commissioning of the system. I hoped it was over, but it wasn't yet. My garage was left with garbage after installation, and documentation, including warranties, was not provided. Again, I had to call several times and spend a lot of time arranging this. I was even called awkward by one of the managers for expecting that everything promised in the contract is going to be fulfilled.

Summarizing, the systems offered by the company are very nice, but you have to be strict to have what you agree on and, most importantly, for what you pay for.

Can not fault this company from the time we had a consultation with Nigel down to the brilliant plumbing team from Torne valley plumbing to the amazing electrian who all worked on getting the system up and running. They contractors were absolutely fabulous polite courteous amazing at cleaning up after themselves. Would highly recommend this company and their contractors

The surveys and installation were spot on and I can't knock them but unfortunately the communication from the office lacks a little. My original installation date was cancelled due to sickness within the installation team and I was told they would ring back with a new date. A week went by and no new date so I rang them to see what the situation was. Again I was promised a call before 4pm and again no call! Another week went by and I ended up phoning again, this time I was given a date a week later. Why wasn't I offered this in the 1st place and why should i have to chase them up all the time. Products seems fine and installation good but just let down by poor communication hence 4 stars.

Our journey with Marvel has been an excellent one, headed by Dwain and his team. It started with a visit from Ian, the salesman who guided us with his expert knowledge, through the many aspects of changing to an air source heat pump. Ian, the heating engineer and his team Morgan and Ellis were amazing, they worked speedily, efficiently and left the areas very tidy. Adam the electrician did the final connecting and switch on, again, very efficiently, most informative and quick. The system up and running for a couple of weeks now, no problems at all. Well done Marvel.

After some initial problems all are now sorted and am extremely happy with the installation. All credit to Dwain and his employees for a very professional attitude in making certain all is working OK Dwain actually went the extra mile to make certain we are 💯 %, content. Great service Marvel

Having our heat pump fitted has been simple from beginning to end. The fitters have been professional and tidy and worked hard to make sure everything is working as it should be. I had enquired with other companies and was let down twice, so I wish I had heard of this company earlier and would recommend. The pump runs efficiently and is quiet- best money I have spent on my journey to making my house more environmentally friendly. The pump will definitely pay for it self as I have seen my bills reduce significantly in a short space of time. Brian and Anne

The heat pump has been in for a month now and is working well, with a nice ambient temperature in the house and lots of hot water. The sales and survey appointments happened as planned and the work was completed on time. The process was managed smoothly and I am happy with the result. My only criticism concerns the finishing off - the pipes to outside were left without foam to fill the gaps and without a cover so someone had to come out a week later to make it good. He managed to drop splodges of foam on the fan unit outside so it is now stained with yellow.

From the start, the service from Marvel was exemplary. We had a meeting initially to explain all the aspects of the installation. The people who did the installation - over only three days - were polite, friendly and professional. The quality of the workmanship is extremely high and we are very happy with everything.
