We spent weeks looking at different cabin options and decided we would attend a few showrooms. After spending at least 2/3 weeks doing research and having probably 4 possibilities, all around the same price at a glance, we attended the log house showroom at kinsale road, cork.
The Newcastle 4m X 4m was our option there. It was advertised on line for approx €8,500 including delivery, insulation and installation.
The “sales man” on site, who didn’t even give his name when speaking to my wife and I, proceeds to inform us that their website was being updated and the cost of what was advertised at €8,500ish, was actually €13,150ish.
It was advertised at the €8,500 for at least a couple of weeks.
Then he tried to ring his manager, who didn’t answer and then he told us that the online price will not be honored.

We are absolutely delighted with our experience with loghouse.ie from start to finish. The installation has just been completed and we couldn’t be happier with the result.
From the outset, Steven, our sales representative, was extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and always available to answer questions. He guided us through the process clearly and professionally, which gave us great confidence in our decision.
The installation team, led by Marcus, were outstanding. They were highly professional, efficient, and clearly took great pride in their work. The attention to detail and overall standard of workmanship were excellent.
Overall, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We would happily recommend loghouse.ie to anyone considering a log house installation.

Delighted with my cabin! the building team Aris ,martin and Costa From start to finish, their team was professional, reliable, and easy to work with. Communication was clear at every stage, timelines were respected, and the quality of workmanship was excellent. They paid attention to detail and made sure everything was completed to a high standard. I’m very happy with the final result and would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and skilled builders. My only critique would be to have had more communication before the build with maybe a meeting with 3D images of the build to make things a bit more clearcut.

We purchased a log cabin for my daughter in May 2025. Based on conversations and agreements as to the level of detailed instructions that would be provided, we proceeded with the purchase on the basis that we would self build the cabin as I work in the construction industry.
However, when the cabin was delivered, it was noted and and advised that there were no fixings. No nails or screws and certainly not the level of detailed instructions that was promised. The instructions detailed no insulated floor or roof drawing to build too.
Some of the wood was so twisted and warped we had to use crow bars to straighten and install them. There were several lengths that were split.
All of the issues were emailed as the self build progressed so Log House Factory were fully aware of the issues.
Over the course of several months requesting information on how to build cabin and the frustrating amount of additional monies we spent on fixings etc, we finally finished the cabin and Saulius from Log House factory agreed to pay the additional monies we had spent.
However, no monies have been paid as agreed in their email dated 8th November 2025 so this leaves me no choice but to pursue them legally and to write a negative review due to their own failings.
So, in essence not a good experience due to poor wood, no fixings, lack of instructions for roof and floor and do not do what they say. I would not recommend them based on my own personal dealings and would not purchase again.

Huge thanks to the Loghouse team for their outstanding work on my home. The entire building process was seamless, and the quality of the final build is exceptional. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and talented team

Absolutely delighted with my new garden room office from Loghouse.ie . Martin was a pleasure to deal with, and Tom and his partner did a fantastic job- quick, neat, and finished to a really high standard. Excellent service all round!

Half way through what was supposed to be a two day build and has now run to almost a week and going into a bank holiday weekend our garden is a mud bath and the back is full of pieces of a log cabin that seem to be the wrong parts or at least this is the nonsense we are being told.
We dealt with Dermot initially and then unfortunately moved to Carlos. Now we realize that you get promised the sun and the stars full payment is made and that’s it poor almost non existent communication and we’ve had additional costs due to other contractors we have had to mess around because of the joke Loghouse.ie operate as.
We tried to raise our concerns today but apparently when you ring nobody is available to deal with any issues and we were told to email!
Let’s hope the next few days see this project finished and all of their mess removed from our garden.
To anyone else considering using them please be warned and avoid!

Following your response Loghouse.ie, I find your comments odd as you tried to have the feedback taken down citing it was defamatory. We were told on a friday to email not on a Saturday, we were told by the builders the delays were due to the incorrect build materials being supplied to the site not the weather.
Perhaps it would be timely for you to respond to our feedback email that we sent.

I would never recommend your company to anyone and the fact no one signs a mail is also a strange cop out ,

We purchased the one bedroom hybrid log house and it has just been completed. It's a beautiful building and the workers are top class, they work really hard and the finish is superb. We had two delays, one caused by bad weather from Storm Amy and the other by a problem with production, these things happen, it was worth it in the end.
Edited to add: we dealt with Carlos in Athlone and found him great, he dealt with our queries promptly and he made useful suggestions. If I had a suggestion it would be to include an example of the hybrid loghouse in the Athlone sales office, otherwise a very positive experience thank you.

Beautiful Cabin, Superb Service and great value.

My One Bed Type E loghouse was completed this week and I simply could not praise Alvydas and Cameron enough for their work which was precise, professional and thorough..... and fast! Since my first contact with David at Fernhill, Athlone I've found the company to be reliable and professional. The loghouse is lovely: spacious and well designed and the materials in it seem to be of the highest quality. I'm amazed that the cabin, which cost me €21000, is fully insulated and comes ready to move into. Highly recommended.

Everyone in the loghouse company were highly efficient and professional. The build of my small cabin was well managed. I would highly recommend this company.

We bought the Loghouse Kilkenny Garden Log Cabin last year. We absolutely love it.
Loghouse/EcoHouse Developments Ltd. are very transparent in terms of pricing. Every item is separately priced in their brochure, listed in their order form, etc. We opted for the 6m x 4m sized version. It included premium living type doors and windows, steel roof tiles, 50mm floor insulation, damp-proof membrane and a weathering package.
We also selected the following upgrades: cabin assembly, time frame and block foundation, 100m roof insulation, external insulation and shiplap cladding, and gutters and downpipes.
We encountered one problem: We included their recommended electrician - Willprom Electrical - in our Order/Booking but only a week before the time arrived for the installation, Willprom Electrical told us that they would not travel to Wexford (as they are based in Dublin) unless we paid them additional money for travel. We had not budgeted for that extra cost, and the late notice of this meant that we could not get the electrics installed at the same time as the cabin! This caused us a lot of stress and upset- to the point that we were going to pull out altogether and look for our deposit back.
However, we decided to go ahead and are delighted that we did. The two young men who attended to prepare the site and build the cabin - Tomas and Mindaugas - were very mannerly and courteous. They took off their shoes when entering the house, tidied up after they finished work each day, etc.
They were very efficient and hardworking – working long days and taking only short breaks.
They consulted with us when a few issues or options arose. They really were exceptional workers.
The doors and windows of our cabin are double glazed and of high quality. The cabin is sturdy. It withstood the various weather storms we endured throughout last Winter 24/25.
We originally used it to store furniture, etc. following a house move. We got a local electrician to install lighting and electrics. We added our own laminate flooring. What was stored there over the Winter did not get damp or mouldy. We ran a little heater in it at times over the Winter but find that we don’t need the heater over the Summer. We now use it as a den for all recreational and relaxing activities – playing music, card games, reading, exercising, little gatherings over the Summer, etc. It looks lovely at the end of our garden. We are thrilled to have it. We would highly recommend Loghouse/EcoHouse Developments Ltd. for the purchase and installation of a garden cabin.

Excellent customer service from Stephen from the outset and the fitting crews were highly efficient , very helpful and did an excellent overall job. Our 5mx4m cabin looks magnificent , our one issue is that the cabin door doesn't come with a Door Stop !

This is second order from Loghouse and the first one was 8 years ago and is still in fantastic working order.

This one is a barrel sauna and the guys that came to build it were magnificent! So quick, polite, friendly and skilled.

Awesome work and highly recommend.

- No mention in your reply of your Ts and Cs. No surprise there. Tried to pull the wool over my parents eyes and provide a non existent document, to avoid addressing all the issues.
- Your service man took photos of a few parts that were in need of repainting after the winter. He didn’t take photos of the build issues and the rotting windows, warped doors etc We painted externally many times. See other reviews with exactly same issues. We can’t all be wrong.
- You offered to come and fix your work at a cost that should have been covered under warranty.
- a third party was here and spoke in a way I didn’t agree with. Not me. I said we would not have him here again and apologised for that. Your service man stayed 20 minutes chatting to same man about their lives.

Numerous reviews say the same thing. Cheap products, leaking cabins, rotting windows. And a warranty that means nothing it seems.

Be very careful if buying a cabin from this company. Interesting to see the positive reviews are of recent builds. Give it a few years and see how your cabin is doing then. Your initial dealings when purchasing and building may be good, but watch out for a few years down the road if any problems occur. I have been dealing with them on behalf of my elderly parents.

Be careful with their Terms and Conditions. We were never given any at the time of the build in 2016. Yet once we have issues with leaks, poor quality windows and doors, questionable build, they suddenly provide a detailed Ts and Cs, with no customer signature. These Ts and Cs are packed with different reasons why they won’t cover any issues under warranty. The list is extensive. Explained to them it isn’t valid without a signature. My parents had never seen them before. They insist it was up to the customer to keep signed copy. I tried to explain to them that it is for their benefit to keep signed copy. They can’t provide it. My parents have kept all paperwork and the only signed paperwork was a Completion of Works. The only requirement was to paint external cabin within two weeks of build. Nothing else. They have used this as a reason for not fixing loads of issues with the cabin, such as leaking, poor quality windows and doors, tongue and groove not installed well etc. interestingly, other friends had same problem with theirs and finally the company agreed to clad the whole cabin and fix all the issues. We are not the only ones it seems.

My elderly parents bought a cabin from Loghouse in 2016. This cabin had a 10 year warranty. They are not honouring this. They have found excuse after excuse not to fix the leaks and issues we are having. They have said it’s down to neglect of the cabin. We have proof that we have painted the external part of cabin many times over the years. It was not neglected. I could go into all the details but it’s just too long to explain. We are not the first to have these issues as we have friends who also did, and they had to fight long and hard for the company to finally recognise it should be covered under warranty.
They have an answer for everything. Nothing will be their fault. Their reply to this will no doubt give every excuse of cabin neglect. This was not the case.

In short, do your research well because the after care service has not been satisfactory at all. The cabin seems to be badly build and of cheap quality. Even their service man came to check it out and told me he had replaced so many windows as they were “cheap windows provided to keep the cost down”. The response by the company on this was we had not ordered premium windows! So be warned. Potentially expect leaks and rotting wood if you buy non premium!

Also, I told them I would put up a review here and they said I was not their client so could not. I checked Trust Pilot rules and it said any dealings with the company count. Sorry Loghouse. I tried long and hard to resolve this without coming here. Don’t throw terms and conditions at customers that didn’t exist or were never given at the time of purchase, without showing proof of signature. Warranty is there for a reason. I see other reviews had same issue (see COD Cork for example).

Lastly, I see Loghouse have replied in a message to a negative review, asking the customer to remove their review from Trust Pilot. Surely this isn’t how Trust Pilot works. I question if maybe there are many negative reviews removed.

If only they had honoured their warranty and not thrown a non signed Terms and Condtions at us, which my parents had never seen. My parents are now left with a leaking cabin, swollen doors that have big gaps in them due to quality of wood, and windows that are rotting. And customer service that will blame everything on neglect and take no responsibility. Be very careful as their new terms and conditions leaves them not responsible for any problems really

The experience from start to end was top class. The sales team answered all my questions during a site survey and then the orders team answered follow up questions very quickly every time I emailed them in the lead up to the install. The install team were true craftsmen and couldn't have been more professional and easy to deal with. The delivery team were great too. I couldn't be happier with eco garden room. It's even better than I had imagined. 10/10 would recommend.

I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Loghouse.ie. I ordered a barrel sauna in September 2024, but the unit delivered and built was entirely different from what I had ordered. I also paid for a stove, which was never delivered. I was forced to supply and install one myself to make the sauna usable, yet I was never reimbursed or refunded—despite having paid in full for a stove that Loghouse failed to provide.

Key Issues:

- The sauna was the wrong size and layout, not matching the specifications in the contract.

- The stove and chimney that were initially provided were off-brand, different from the make and model specified in the contract, and lacked the legally required CE certification. Loghouse later removed that non-compliant stove but never followed up with the correct unit as agreed in the contract. Nor did they issue a refund or reimbursement for the stove I had paid for but never received.

- Broken and chipped timber boards were used in the construction, with visible damage poorly patched with filler afterwards.

- The wrong external door was supplied, and the internal sauna door doesn’t meet manufacturing standards or close properly.

Despite these major issues, Loghouse refused to meet me on-site or take my phone calls, insisting on communicating solely through email only. After three months of back-and-forth emails, they eventually agreed to fix the problems and provide a partial refund. However, they failed to follow through on either commitment and have since ignored my correspondence.

Loghouse has consistently broken Irish and EU consumer laws, and their refusal to address these issues or honor their contractual obligations is unacceptable.

I have given them every opportunity to rectify the problems, but they have left me no alternative but to leave this review as a warning to others. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Proceed with caution if considering doing business with them.

UPDATE APRIL 2025: After I posted the above review on google in Jan 2025, Loghouse reached out and promised to address the issues and provide a partial refund. I agreed to their proposal in good faith, despite it being the same offer they had previously made but never followed through on.

Unfortunately, after accepting, I have been ignored once again. I’ve sent several follow-up emails which have received no reply.

To date, none of the agreed remedial works have been completed, no refund has been issued for the stove that was never delivered, and no communication has been provided. This experience has been consistently frustrating and disappointing.

I truly dislike leaving negative feedback. However, I feel I have been left with no choice —Loghouse has demonstrated nothing but avoidance, delay, and a lack of professional accountability.

Despite numerous attempts on my part to resolve the matter amicably—including offering to meet in person and providing detailed documentation—they refused to take my calls and insisted on email-only communication, which has ultimately gone nowhere.

I’ve made every effort to give Loghouse a fair opportunity to make things right.

I hope this review serves as a clear warning to others considering using this company. Proceed with caution.
