You'll only break even with Legal Match
Legal match will essentially pay for itself and, and not much more. I was initially optimistic because the case manager was engaging and on top of my account. A few weeks after signing up, I got an email that she was no longer with legal match and that a new case manager would be assigned. I haven't heard from that person, and it's been over a month.
The quality of the leads leave a lot to be desired. I am listed for criminal defense cases. The leads are a small hits and lots of misses. Again, the clients I've received so far have essentially paid for my $600 a month subscription. I'm so happy that I only signed up for one year. They did try to get me in for 2 years but I wouldn't budge.
If it was a cancel at anytime model, I might been ok, but the fact that I still have months left is very disappointing and frustrating.
My overall recommendation to attorneys is to pass on legal match.

I work in a niche practice area and signed an attorney services contract in the middle of the pandemic while unemployed (which they were aware of at the time). I was trying to get more clients in my field but during my contract, a substantial market area was no longer available then leads were very limited based on what I actually do and where I did find potential matches, I often encountered people with no concept of what legal fees for experienced counsel actually cost. I had to waste a lot of time and money dealing with issues ($13k paid vs. less than $3k earned including being stiffed over $500 from one of their clients). They can't even be bothered to get back to me on my request to get a refund on my contract despite my putting in that request per their instructions over a month ago. The one upside is it was the only group that made me feel creative types who happen to be lawyers would be welcomed vs. shunning me for not fitting into a stereotypical lawyer mold.

Nightmare for attorneys
I regret ever signing up with LegalMatch. They are constantly confused about where I work and what I do and keep sending the wrong kinds of cases to the wrong attorneys in my office. I've been trying since last year to get things corrected and I finally had to give up. They will try to sign you up for an abusive auto-renew contract with a limited cancellation window, so be careful there, too.
Avoid.

Well it has been 4 days and no replies. When I dial customer assistance the call is always dropped or the mailbox is full. What is going on?

Sounds like you have submitted a case, but did not hear back from any lawyers. As described on our website, LegalMatch's free online legal matching service is a 4-step process:
1. You answer questions to share the specifics of your legal issue and choose to be contacted or not.

3. If you permit us to share your contact information interested lawyers respond with an offer to represent you.
4. You schedule your initial consultation with one or all of them.
For cases (like yours) that do not reach step 4, it means that none of the member attorneys who reviewed your information were interested in working with you. This can be due to the nature of your case, or it may mean that you did not provide enough information during step 1.
If you believe you have a strong case, please log into your account and use your client dashboard to update your information. Provide as much detailed as possible so the lawyers can better understand your legal needs. If you do this and still receive no response, consider other resources such as https://www.usa.gov/legal-aid.

Don't ask for an area
I repeatedly said I wanted a lawyer only in Arlington, TX, but all the responses I get are from Dallas or Plano! If you can not understand my request, then I have no faith in the lawyers that would be associated with you!

We are sorry for the confusion. When posting your case, you did select that you wanted to receive email notifications when attorneys responded. But you also clicked "yes" to the question: "Release my contact info to lawyers." Once an attorney responds to your case, they then see your phone number and will often call if it is a particularly good case. Most clients actually like this feature because it usually results in quicker attorney responses.
A frustrating experience that I will not repeat.
As a result of my linking into Legal Match, I predicted that I would be swamped with dozens of emails asking me to respond and/or call to discuss my requirements. That, in fact, happened, and I did, however, speak with one or two attorneys on a preliminary basis. Not wanting to be negative, yet, Legal Match operates somewhat like the old "Angie's List" which is now simply "Angie". These reps are waiting by their phones from other perspective clients thus my computer began to light up light a beacon! Although I was unable to respond to all of them. several continued to send me follow-up emails and even phone calls. I finally had to delete the link from my computer. I am not that desperate for finding a suitable lawyer on my own.

I was having trouble finding an attorney to probate my husband's will. Mr. Robert Maurer of San Antonio contacted me. He was very professional and friendly. Very unprofessional and advise mr to stay in my marriage because I need my ID card insurance and I will not get alimony because my husband make less money and he didn’t even ask me how much he makes he begin to sound like my husband and I told him that and I told him this twice and he’s probably why he hung up on me. He sounds just like my ex-husband but advising somebody to stay in a freaking marriage for ID card when he didn’t even listen to the rest of the story of adultery, he was unprofessional, and did not give me the opportunity to finish my story. We are sorry to hear the attorney you spoke with wasn't helpful. As you know, LegalMatch provides the forum for clients and attorneys to meet, but has no role in any legal representation and doesn't control how a specific attorney runs their law office. Normally we encourage clients to "rate" their lawyer, but it doesn't appear you actually paid the attorney anything or retained them- this was just a free consultation. Divorce is "no fault", so it makes sense why the attorney didn't want to hear about the adultery - it is not a factor in your case. Best of luck to you.
Issues with LegalMatch
The Attorney I got was excellent and he does agree to come to me in Greeley. My issue is with LegalMatch. I told them I wanted Greeley. Only after booking the appointment I learned he was in Denver. Then I received 15 + calls over the next 2-3 days. I could find no way to stop the calls. You should have an easy way to shut the calls off once you have booked an appointment.
