My experience is, I trusted the surgeon with my life, my eyes we’re a huge problem as the opening for the cateract’s to be removed was exceptionally tiny, I needed GA, the end product was amazing my eyes were blended I am not wearing glasses now, I can read small print and my distance is also good.

I was nervous about having cataract surgery on both my eyes, but from the first consultation, Mike Tappin and the Laser Vision team in Woking made me feel at ease and in good hands. They provided clear information and answered all my questions, and were professional and caring through out. I was seen on time for all my appointments and they talked me through the procedure as it was happening, so I was fully aware of what to expect, with no surprises. The follow up care was thorough and I've been very happy with the results of the surgery. I want to thank Mike Tappin and Geeta P for looking after me and for their professionalism. I would definitely recommend Laser Vision at Nuffield Health Woking. (Also the ample free parking was appreciated.)

Communication was excellent, comprehensive, detailed and prompt. Any of my questions were answered immediately.
I underwent diagnosis, required surgery and treatment in an atmosphere that was calming, reassuring and timely. The outcome was as predicted and I was very pleased with Laservision’s proactive telephone follow ups to check all was well.

Not only is Rakesh a very nice man, he is a master of his craft and has demonstrated a keen desire to ensure I am truly happy with my new eyes. Sometimes things dont go precisely to plan and it is at times like this some might create reasons to run away. Not Rakesh or anyone on the Laser Vision team. They are incredibly dedicated to customer service and my well being, ultimately ensuring that one of my most important senses, will be vastly improved from it's former blurred state and enable me to live a full colorful life, for the rest of my life.

Reasonable wait time with good facilities. Great consultation - Mr Jayaswal was aware of my patient history and put me at ease offering me a good range of treatment choices and dates. I have already recommended him to a number of friends and colleagues.

Wonderful service from the 1st appointment. Caring staff and my options were explained to me thoroughly in great detail. The operation was painless and happened in no time at all. The after care was impeccable. Having lens replacement surgery was the best decision I could make. It has changed my life and being free of glasses is amazing.

Being short-sighted, I get a free consultation with my local Optical Express, but they rang a few alarm bells for me. Most of the benefits they mentioned were monetary, slandered their competitors in regard to the equipment they use, and they gave me a piece of paper with a surgeons credentials, so I google the guy to check his reputation, and all I could find was on the OE website, which was a bit dubious, so I look for alternatives.

Laservision in Guildford was a completely different story. If you're serious about laser eye surgery, don't be put off by the £75 consultation fee, because the experience was night and day.

The surgeon I got, Mike Tappin has a very good reputation, which you can find all over Google, and he was very reassuring, professional and any question I had, he had the answer right off the bat with no medical school jargon or anything, he was very easy to understand. That made me go from slightly apprehensive to confident about the idea of laser eye surgery. Plus the surgery was in house in Guildford which is handy in case something went wrong, whereas with OE you have to travel to Reading for it, which is about an hour to drive.

So, on the day of the surgery, I was very well taken care of and I had the LASEK surgery as opposed to LASIK because I have thin corneas and both eyes were done in less than 10 minutes. The first 2 days will be the hard part when your eyes start to heal, but once you're past the painful 2 days, it's pretty smooth sailing from there as your eyesight gradually improves.

About 3 weeks in, I get a painful left eye from a mild erosion (a scratch on the surface of the eye), which does sometimes happen I've been told. But I text Mike and he said to ring the clinic so they can book me in on that same afternoon, so Mike has a look and assures me it's nothing serious and just keep up the eye drops and I'm fine now. Absolutely AMAZING aftercare and it was a good job that the clinic was local to me as opposed to taking a trip to Reading.

I would highly recommend Laservision for the following reasons:

1. The surgeons have a VERY good reputation.
2. The aftercare is second to none and inclusive in the price for 24 months.
3. It's a fixed price per eye, so if you have particularly bad eyesight, there's none of this starting price crap that makes the prices look really good, but quickly gets more expensive as the prescription gets higher.

It cost me about £4000 including the consultation fee, which was only £200 dearer than what I was quoted at OE, but you get the excellent surgeons, the 2 year aftercare, and your eyesight is precious, so who would you trust?

Laservision really is positive proof that you don't have to pay Harley Street prices for the best surgeons and now after a month I am already reaping the benefits of saying bye-bye to glasses and contact lenses.

Really welcoming, professional and great service

I had lasek eye surgery March 2022 as lasik was not ideal for me. After going to several consultations at different places I knew straight away I was going with Mr Brahma. Mr Brahma and his team were amazing from Start to end. All my questions were answered and I was made aware of all risks and the pain associated with lasek. As there is not much information on the internet about lasek I was very worried about the level of pain. Although the pain was bad post surgery I would do it all again because of the results I have received. I now have 20 20 vision in both eyes and although I experienced some pain 48 hours post surgery having lasek done by Mr Brahma was probably the best decision I ever made. I was -6 in both eyes and wore glasses for 19 years which I no longer need. I am extremely happy with the results and wish I had done this years ago. I am thankful to Mr Brahma and I can not recommend him enough to anyone considering laser eye surgery.

Mr Tappin was wonderful and the whole Nuffield experience was five star: staff, nurses, and also Mr Tappin’s secretaries

Both eyes needed to be seen because of cataracts. We asked to be referred to Mr Tappin since my wife had consulted Mr Tappin previously on another issue. Mr Tappin explained carefully his diagnosis of my eyes problems and the available treatment. The risks of the procedure were clearly made to me. Mr Tappin’s office dealt very effectively with all the administrative matters in a very pleasant way. The treatment was successful and the follow up visit uneventful.

I've had cataracts and laser with Mr Rakesh Jayaswal this year. I was delighted with his help and re-assurance throughout both procedures and cannot recommend him and his team highly enough. Always with a friendly smile and very patient in answering all my queries. All the team, including Vicky and the admin ladies, were a joy to deal with. I highly recommend LaserVision and would certainly go back if I need any further treatment in the future.

From initial consultation through to post-op 'sign-off', Mr Tappin has been excellent. The procedure was clearly explained, questions answered and any concerns addressed. I would have no hesitation in recommending.

Clear communication and a friendly approach eased any fears or concerns quickly and the surgery has given me exactly what I had hoped for.

Everyone was very nice through the whole process, an extremely kind consultant Mike Tappin took me through the whole laser eye process and was fantastic every step of the way and always available to ask questions at any point (in or out of the hospital) and the final result is a staggering improvement! Would highly recommend.

I found Mr Mike Tappin and all his staff to be friendly and informative at all times. Mr Tappin was never too busy to explain in detail all the procedures which were going to happen and to make sure I understood and was happy with what was to be done and the outcomes that were expected. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to family or friends. The hospitals were also efficient and coping quite well with the changed procedures required by the covid pandemic.

Just wanted to say how pleased I am with my laser eye procedure at Mount Alvernia. The whole process was well explained and carried out carefully at all stages by Mr Tappin and Geeta. They were both very reassuring and as the process was so quick it was over in no time. I am very pleased with my vision, which has been a complete success and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
