I can highly recommend Kam Balaggan and his secretary Debbie. I had cataract lens replacement surgery with toric lenses and I am very pleased with the results. My vision is now excellent with no need for glasses any longer. The procedure was smooth and the team was very professional throughout. Debbie was very helpful and professional at all times. Mr. Balaggan has now performed surgery on both of my eyes in the last couple of months and I cannot stress enough how reassuring and knowledgeable he is. He put me at ease from my very first appointment to my last one today, I paid for up graded lens and what a difference it has made my life. I even surpassed Kam's expectations today by reading the very bottom line of his eye chart 2 lines lower than the 20/20 line. I first met Mr Balaggan when I had emergency surgery for a detached retina I was so scared and shocked I was going to lose my eyesight . He was so calming and reassuring I completely put my full trust in him. The operation was successful and 6 months later I had cataract operations in both eyes with intraocular lenses inserted. I recently had the absolute pleasure of having Kam Balaggan to perform my Epiretinal Membrane Surgery and he was absolutely fantastic. He is an amazing surgeon who I would thoroughly recommend. I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes with Mr Balaggan at the Wolverhampton Nuffield Hospital . My initial consultation with him gave me the confidence to go ahead and the surgery was very successful. Mr Balaggan has given me back my eyesight which had definitely been deteriorating, I am only using glasses for reading fine print , I am delighted and tell everybody about him!

I have trusted Mr Balagan with my eye care for over 4 years now. Most recently he has helped me with detached retina (twice in 8 weeks). He is always kind, caring, and professional but most importantly he is thorough in his examinations. He listens to your symptoms and will work with you at all stages. When his website says you have access to him believe me that is true, I texted him on Boxing day and he called me.....that's dedication. He got me in to hospital and operated on very quickly both times for my retina detachment. I visited Mr Balaggan to have a full review. I was noticing that my eyesight was becoming poorer so decided to get this investigated. I have had eye issues since 2011 so was very anxious but Mr Balaggan put me at my ease immediately. He is very calm and patient, and after a thorough examination of both eyes, he advised that I needed cataract surgery on both eyes. He explained the different lenses available and I was booked in for 8/11/25 then 7/12/25. I feel so blessed to have been able to have the procedures with him. He is a miracle worker. I have been wearing glasses/contact lenses since the age of 19 and I am now 65. I am only using reading glasses. Just amazing. Thank you Mr Balaggan. I also need to thank his secretary Debbie, who is on hand to help with any questions. I had a few being the anxious person that I am. So reassuring.

I have recently completed my third episode of care with Kam Balaggan Ophthalmologist Ltd. I had a sudden reduction in the vision of my left eye. I contacted Mr Balaggan and he was very quick to respond. He performed a cataract operation within the week to assess any damage to my retina. Kam and his team at the Spire eye centre are excellent. Had retinal peel and recently cataract surgery. Dealing with Debbie his secretary through to the nurses is so easy. On the day surgery is well explained and all after care well explained. My eye sight has improved enormously.

I had a cataract form on my right eye, which is my main eye for clay shooting . This hindered me from doing my chosen sport , and everyday life.
I was given Mr Balaggans details by my optician, as one of only two people in the country he would trust to do my operation .
From the first details everything was so professional and easy to go through . My first meeting we discussed which lense I would need, fully explained to me . The op was booked , and carried out to the highest standard , with all aftercare fully explained .
