Terrible service

Had my car booked in on the 11/1/2023 I told them it was making a unusual noise when turning the steering wheel, Jax tyres south tweed had my car from 8am till 4pm as I arrived at 4pm a worker was getting in my car to test it as he said one other worker there took it for a drive and said it felt normal, the guy that was checking it at 4pm said the same didn’t feel to bad may be the shocks and I then said so nothing got done on my car today and he said no feels normal I then left very in happy! I then rang my local mechanic took it there the next day and the gentle man that works drove my car while I was in it and straight away said it’s the wheel bearings got it replaced with a new hub and feels amazing now so smooth, NO thanks to jax tyres south tweed!

Rude workers

i have been to the Liverpool office on the Hume highway 3 times each time i have been, i have been spoken to really rudely. last time I asked for new Tyres, one of the workers barked at me "do you need new Tyres or new wheels". I told them Tyres. "We don't do Tyres, get lost and don't come back".

most recently only last week 8/11/2022. me and my grandma came along once again they spoke rudely once again to both of us. and given evil stares by a few of the workers. as my grandma was paying. she asked if she could get a senior discount less than $15 off. and shot her a cold look and in an aggressive manner said "it's not your car" it shouldn't matter whose car it is she was paying and also paid for the car your business gets thousands in profit every day and can't do a senior discount?

i worked in retail for 10 years, if i ever spoke the way they do to customers I would be sacked instantly, something Definity has to change about this place

i am not sure how to reply to response on here...but it wasn't paid for using card, it was paid for using cash...my grandmother's cash. who also brought the car. I just drive her around in it as she can't drive herself

We do note that the store in this instance did honor the seniors discount, however the seniors discount is meant to be for the senior's card holder and does not extend to friends and family. Great service

A big shout out to Bec, Simon & all the staff at Jax Tyres & Mechanical Warrawong. I had a problem with a tyre loosing pressure & it turned out I had a nail in my tyre! Always great service. Always welcoming & happy to help.

I booked my car 🚙 in at 8.30 in the morning to do a oil change and and replaced the oil filter at jax tyres greenhills and was told when u got there it would not be ready for 6 hours when u asked It could be any earlier I was spoken to like a nobody he didn’t give a care about customer service definitely won’t go back

Tried gouging extra $101 JAX Bayswater North VIC

Went to JAX Bayswater North VIC - wanted to replace my space saver with a full size spare (road trips coming up) - started out ok, found a wheel and tyre - agreed on price - booked in. Arrived today to pay pick up - tried to gouge $101 extra out of me, then said I have to wheel it out and put it in (was there with business bag and son) - was offered when ordered to fit to car and make sure its all good. nothing like it, customer service was rude, fraudlent behaviour and down right pathetic.

Jax Launceston Wheel alignment woes, just don't

We lent our 2005 Accent with 150k's on the clock to our neighbor who had foolishly put petrol in his diesel audi allroad while he had his car fixed.
While handing him the keys I mentioned that I want to get a wheel alignment for it before my daughter starts driving it in a few weeks when she gets her P's just to ensure the car is as safe a possible for her.
When me neighbor returned the car with a full tank, he mentioned that he had the wheel alignments done at Jax Launceston as a thank you (his a good guy).
My first drive of the car since the wheel alignment and the car felt unstable and unsafe on the road and tended to follow any undulation on the road visible or not.
due to lack of time I put the car aside for a couple of weeks unit I could take it to my Parents house an throw on their host as I fear the might have been some sort of suspension or bush failure.
A detailed inspection with a retired mechanic of 40 years revealed tight and with in spec.
He suggested we do a quick very basic check of the wheel alignment with the car settled on the ground we found that the front wheels were dead parallel with no toe in and believed this to be causing the issue.
Sent the car to another tyre place in Legana with a proven track record for alignment and the issue was fixed, the car drove perfectly and felt confident in letting my daughter drive the car, more money spent but well worth the piece of mind.
A week or so pass and it got the better of me, so I gave Jax Launceston a call to let them know my experience.
Call answered by Bob ( the franchise owner I believe) fairly dismissive a first but the more we discussed the more receptive he became he indicated he would look into it and get back to me, he never did get back to me.
and that where it sits.

Hi Jax team Bob was certainly able to locate the report during our conversation.
Note as per above my neighbour took the car in for the wheel alignment so it would be in his name. And I haven't specified the rego number.
So I am not surprised that you where unable to locate as you do not have the details to do so.

Also note I had already contacted the number below prior to writing this review.

Jax doesn't admit their fault and ignore their victim

Jax woolloongabba damaged my rim and denying their fault. Just don't go there. They won't admit their fault and all replies will be copy and paste and will ignore your point and evidence.
People can make a mistake but should admit it and apologise that's what they have to do.
I can't understand why they should treat their innocent victim like this way. I have proved myself with evidence and many explanations but they didn't prove anything just repeat the same thing copy and paste without any evidence. Why couldn't they show me cctv? Even I showed them photos which I took just before they started the job at the shop but only they repeating the damage is pre existing without evidence or explanation. So dishonest and unprofessional.

Hi I took my car to Jax Tyre expecting…

Hi I took my car to Jax Tyre expecting to pay $30 to fix the Tyre but they said it would cost $169 for a new Tyre.
I left the car with them less then 40 minutes. They called and mentioned the new quote,because I was driving around with the nail, it damage the thread of the tyre they said but so the gentleman told me the new fix price.$169 What's odd is while they pop in the tyre they replaced, there was another nail in the back wheels they spotted So 2 nails in one day it just give a chilling goose bump. I'll won't let my son borrow my car again. The mechanic mentioned that in the city driving around there's a lot of wash up nails from the rain. But I don't go there. I should of gone to my mechanic I know for years but with the rain and all Jax Tyre was just down the road to me. I think if I was a bloke it might be different too. They were happy to go ahead to order the other wheels but I think Ill go to my local mechanic instead.The price wasn't $169. It was $199.

took my car into jax tyres warrnambool…

took my car into jax tyres warrnambool store to have a new external fuel pump and new engine module fitted , when i picked it up i have driven to the petrol station and then home only to realize that the petrol that i had just put in it was pouring out all over the ground. i rang the warrnambool store back and explained what was happening and was told to bring it back which i did immediately, within the next hour i received a phone call from them stating that it was the fuel sender and it needed replacing but they could not find 1 and it was up to me to get a new 1. there was nothing what so ever wrong with the fuel sender when i first took it in there other wise i would have told them to fix it.And at no stage was there any petrol leaking from my car when i first took it in there , i dropped the car off to them the first time at 6 am in the morning and it sat there for 2 hours before they opened before someone moved it , if there was petrol leaking it would have been all over the ground and would have been a strong smell but there was nothing , i have also told the mechanic this . In my opinion and other mechanics opinion jax are covering up their mistake. i had to source a new fuel sender myself at my cost so not only did it cost me $1400 at jax but it then cost me another $908 for the fuel sender that i found in Alice springs . I have asked the mechanic at jax why the fuel sender has broken and he can not explain it ,i have also asked 4 other mechanics in town why this would have happened and all 4 have said the same thing that it has been reefed out and that's why it has broken . So not only have i paid $2300 so far my car is still not fixed and un drivable i have now just today had to organize a tow truck at my expense to go to jax and pick the car up and take it to another mechanic who knows what they are doing to fix it and again i will be out of pocket because i will have to pay they new mechanic for jax stuff up... Jax had no customer service at all and did not care that the car may not be able to be fixed . it was left up to me to do all the leg work to find parts after it was there stuff up. At no stage did they even offer to compensate me the $908 for the part that they broke and i had to source myself. Never ever again will i take any of my cars back there and i will make sure i tell anyone else who will listen about my experience . 1 very very angry customer here and seriously thinking of seeking legal action

False advertising

False advertising of buy 3 get the 4th free, the 4th was not free.. discounted is not free.. 3 units x $165 = $495, plus a FREE tyre.. yes? Well according to them no, its 4 units x $129.50 = $518. A saving of $142. So the 4th is $23,, and not FREE. Discounted yes,, FREE as their bold letters claim under the product once you click it NO.
Contacted Ashmore QLD store for clarification on their website offer.
When challenged that what they quoted me was not buy 3 get the 4th free but instead just a discounted rate on the 4 tyres the employee on the phone got hostile and argumentative initially refusing to give out head office contact details.
Any business that advertises in such a misleading way to take advantage of people does not deserve the Australian consumers hard earned money. Beware of these fake advertisers, there are many other vendors we can choose from that trade with integrity.

Purchased a 3 k Simmons wheel set for…

Purchased a 3 k Simmons wheel set for my brand new VW Transporter from Jax in Forster NSW at the start of 2021. Within mths the matt black finish started to deteriorate and got progressively worse. Photos taken and discussion with head office. Wheels removed and sent back to Tempe tyres and original wheels refitted to get van on the road. Tempe tyres refused warranty. Wheels returned to Jaxs and given back to me in boxes and manager instructed me it’s not their problem even though I paid Jaxs for the wheel / tyre set. Being a loyal customer and spending thousand over many years I was extremely disappointed. I now have a $900 outlay to have the wheels recoated. They stated that I used an acid wash to clean the wheels. Not sure why anyone would use acid on a new set of Simmons wheels ????? Just another excuse to void a warranty claim. 2 weeks later the front drivers wheel that was refitted by Jaxs Forster started making a weird noise and after removing the wheel cap a mechanic found 3 of the 5 wheel nut almost completely undone !! On further inspection found that alloy hub spacer from Simmons wheel had not been removed before mounting original wheel making for a lethal outcome for me or another road user. Video footage and photos have been compiled for further investigation. Jaxs are amateur at best. Andrew Burke.

I rang Jax Capalaba and got a quote for…

I rang Jax Capalaba and got a quote for 4 x tyres for a CX-8, got a quote for 4 x Hankook tyres fitted and balanced for $1061 and added a $79 wheel alignment, confirm the price with them at a total of $1140. I told them that my wife would drop off the next day, these grubs saw a woman coming and charged $1463 for the exact same job, the tyres are even advetised on their site for $265 each but these grubs charged her 323 each, + fiting + balancing + +, these sexist grubs are taking advantage of woman who dont know about tyres, avoid them at all costs.

Go somewhere else.

I took my car to Jax Caulfield South and my car was damaged by Jax
When l picked my car up it was clearly damaged by a employee at Jax. Damage bill between $500.00 upwards.
My car was damaged while being lifted on the hoist.
My car paint is chipped and the cosmetics of my car snapped and broken beyond repair causing/ needing the replacement of parts to the car.
I was treated like a fool.
I was treated like a low form of life so unintelligent l don't deserve respect. 30 hours after l reported the date and l have had no response from the manager at Jax's Caulfield South whom l personally reported the incident through to.
This man has totally shown his arrogance an unprofessional approach to his customer by denying his employees caused damage without first looking at the damage.
The manager is a liar and untrustworthy and l can only label him as an arrogant undermining representative of the entire franchise.
Someone who will lie to save a dollar.
I wouldn't recommend to anyone to have their tyres or any work done to their vehicle if they don't want a damage bill.
This is the second car of mine Jax has destroyed on the hoist which makes me wonder if the attention nneds to be brought to the public as a result of the facts that they did this to 2 of my vehicle's so how many thousands of vehicles nation wide have their employees damaged without reporting their uneducated mishaps to the employer who then knowingly denies their costly misconduct of failed uneducated job/work a code ya costing the victims who are the owners out of pocket for their cheap industrial labour and applications.

I wouldn't trust Jax tyres wit a child's skateboard.
I wouldn't trust the manager of Jax Caulfield South with a bottle of cordial at a child's birthday JAX TYRES.

A simple punctured tyre $45.00 has turned into a major repair that may cost me up to a $1000.00.

My car is a BMW. I dropped it off at Jax Caulfield South.
When l picked up my car it had received damage associated to being lifted on a car hoist incorrectly
I reported this to the manager where he denies his employees causing any damage before analysing the damage.
I just had a roadworthy on my BMW and the damage not recorded so therefore did not exist prior to my visit to Jax tyres.

Jax Newcastle incompetent at alignment of Alfa Romeo. Untruthful response

JAX response is all lies. You never said such a thing.
Typical of this type of behaviour. F*^k someone’s car up and then change your story.
More shame on you.

Jax Newcastle returned my car in a worse condition than they received it. The do not know how to do a performance wheel alignment for an Alfa Romeo - even though they said they do…

Do not guarantee their work and do not listen.
Screwed up wheel alignment on Alfa 147 requiring $550 tow to another alignment specialist to fix their dreadfully out of alignment work.
REFUSE to honour hassle free guarantee.
These guys made my car unstable to drive and tell me it’s okay. Even after documentation saying otherwise.
Woeful customer experience.
DO NOT TRUST YOU PERFORMANCE CAR WITH THESE GUYS. THEY WILL STUFF IT UP AND DENY RESPONSIBILITY.

After a few minutes driving it was clear there was a massive problem as my car would not stop driving towards the kerb and gutter.
I turned the car around and went straight back to the workshop and I had to explain at length what was wrong and that my disability meant I’d exhausted all my energy and would have to go home in an Uber.
I shouldn’t have had to go to such lengths to explain I’m disabled and I shouldn’t have been told ‘we can either make your car go straight, or round corners… you can’t have both!’
I won’t be taking my car back to this JAX ever again as multiple mistakes were made and cost me both my heath and money.

They will not accept this report on their bad work. Shame on them.

Issue 1. Misleading information on web page.

Misleading advertising of product and salesman recommendation.

Called Jax Bundaberg on Tuesday 20th July and spoke to D.

I advised D that I had used the tyre recommendations from the Jax website and was interested in a Continental Cross contact tyre promoted on the website for $409. D immediately told me that the tyre recommended was not suitable for my car and was for Porsche only and the tyre I needed for my AMG Mercedes was $455 each. I asked what the difference was and he was not certain but stated that there was definitely a difference. I asked D to check as the Jax tyre automated selector recommended this tyre for my Mercedes. He went away momentarily and then said it will fit but it is not original equipment as specified by Mercedes. I advised him that the Continental tyre website also recommended this tyre for my car. At this point he agreed for me to purchase these and I paid upfront and included a wheel alignment for $79.

When you research the difference between tyres with NO or MO, the MO tyre is Mercedes Original and supports Self Supporting Run flat. Neither D or the Jax Customer Experience team member were aware of this, yet D continued to tell me I needed them and denied the fact that the cheaper tyre will fit and function perfectly. I did not require Run Flat tyres. In my opinion, this is misleading a customer. Their website and staff need to reflect the facts.
