Following are the things that are wrong in this train:
1)Bathroom safety and hygiene:
• The bathroom locks are completely un-functional..
•The hygiene is extremely bad like the flush is not at all working, the cleaners are not even cleaning at all
2)Bedding clothes and hygiene:
• The bedding services are perfectly fine and accurately on time
• The bedding clothes are not at all hygienic and it is shaby, old, dirty and dusty....
3)Foods, services and timming:
• The food service is not the worst but not at all great.
• Foods doesn't taste as good as it used to taste because it is either salty or Unsavorable.....
• Idk what time zone thes people are using because they are literally giving out lunches ant 11am and dinners at 5pm... The time is not timming
• The tea which was the best tea we could have in our life became the worst tea ....they are literally tasteless
3) Overall hygiene(sweeping,etc):
• They haven't at all sweeped the coach I am in... Not even once
• The windows is not at all clean...they did cleaned it once through the whole journey and the water marks are still visible on the train's windows
4) Delaying:
• This train is literally delayed for 3hrs 43mins it is not at all it's not only annoying but it feels kinda exhausting tooo.... It is not at all great to waste people's times that they should've spent with their family and loved once
Lastly I hope that the IRCTC would read this review and take necessary actions to improve the services and also you literally don't have to make new trains but instead you should know how to maintain the trains that is running. I also hope that you will try to understand our feelings and just try to relate to our situation.
Frustrating Experience: Poor UI and Customer Service
I usually avoid giving 1-star reviews, but my recent experience with IRCTC was so bad that I felt compelled to write this. My main frustration stems from the terrible user interface on both their app and website. I’ve been trying to sign up for weeks, but I’m essentially locked out because I can’t verify my account through OTP. And to make matters worse, I’m not even receiving the OTP. And because of this, I can't book train tickets.
I contacted customer service, and despite selecting my preferred language, they routed me to a representative who spoke a different language. I filed a complaint through their platform, and they kept insisting it would be resolved, asking me to send screenshots each time, claiming it shouldn't be happening. My personal information on their website was also different from what I saw in the app.
I eventually managed to resolve the issue, but the entire experience was incredibly frustrating. It’s high time they improve their system, UI, and customer service. I understand it's a government service, but that doesn’t justify such a poor level of service.

IRCTC is working for their agents only
IRCTC is working for their agents only. Not for common public. For 60 days advance, today I wanted to take tickets for my relatives but at sharp 8 am site showing "This site is currently unreachable. Please try after some time". After few minutes, status showing "Regret" or WL. During peak time, they are doing this deliberately to support Agents. Worst experience.

I tried more than 10 times and everytime its the same reply - Wrong Credentials - After that OTP validity over for today - Try again tomorrow as we are buying vegetables - I dont understand why Govt. Websites are the worst ones as compared to Pvt ones. When they want to charge fines and othe unwanted money everything works. So food and train booking experience would be the worst in India as compared to any country in the world.

I am booking ticket in IRCTC since 17 yrs.I had a very good experience till 2024 when the booking used to happen 4 months prior. Comman man used to get seats if booked on time without approaching the agent, but since the booking is changed to 2 months, seats available to comman man are very less and I m experiencing that the booking starts at 8 am where the system gets hanged during the peak time and within minutes we come to know that no seats are available. It's the request to increase the seats available online for people.

irctc website gets hang during peak time. Some one may be hacking site . During payment QR code appears after 3 minutes after non availability of birth. I'm trying to book ticket for May 2025 since last four day. But getting QR coder after 3 minutes ,till then no birth available.

Jan shatabdi was on time though. In cleanliness it's zero firstly. There is no rules why general coach people were passing through ac chair. It's truly safety issue in case of luggage. Irctc should really have a check on it...!!
Every one is going and coming continuosly. Washroom was extremely dirty. It was stinking. My seat was 75 and 76 ac chair car. I travelled all the way with this dirty smell.
And passangers have no ethics while travelling. Few set of people were so loud, they were intolerable.

Worst I experienced very worst & miserable &;panic in my last two transaction in the month of feb2025.In the first one they didn't consider women passengers even they are sick/Sr.citizen more than 80 age on humanitarian basis.IRCTC kept their tickets in RAC status still chart preparation but allocate only one berth after chart preparation thus by indirectly stolen one berth seat cost nearly approx Rs.1800/-No ethics
In second transaction, they allocate only one berth for two berths confirmed since they allocate storage rack for one berth in which I am unable to board which was witnessed & accepted by concerned TTE,RPF,Railway personnel visited.
Both incidents were occured on 23rd February 2025 but still no response from irctc.In this reagard I sent mails but they only divert the issue by providing different mail IDs and they are only money motive and indirect stolen individual money by their biassed rules & regulations of their own.
No consideration for Sr.Citizen,women passengers

Pathetic Service by IRCTC.They Don't know how to deal with customers. They can't coordinate at all with their customers. They don't take care of their group. They don't have arrangements of anything in respect to hotel,Buses cars food etc. They even don't know where are the members. We have paid so much for the mahakumb to Ayodhya package. But we are not getting proper transport, food and water. They don't have any kind of accommodation. The travel agent Don't know how to coordinate with the customers. After spending 35000 Rs per person we are not getting any facility. They provide you the cheapest transport which is very uncomfortable. They AC 's is not working in the transport. They don't even provide you the water.

Today, I faced a humiliating experience while traveling. I had two tickets—one confirmed, the other waitlisted. When I requested the TTE for a seat, I was shocked to see a seat near mine reserved for a foreigner's dog! Despite being partially paralyzed, I was forced to travel in the General compartment, while a dog enjoyed a full seat.
I was even ready to pay for a seat, yet my request was ignored. Is this how IRCTC treats differently-abled passengers? This is unacceptable!

I believe you are very busy with so much on your plate!
My wife and I are intending to visit India, our mother country, after a few years of living overseas.
We intended to make some intra-city travel within India and thought of making use of IRTC for our train bookings.
I am very disappointed in how this website is developed. Additionally, it is of no use to us.
As an international traveller I registered my new profile on the website.
The website asked us to pay a certain fee to be registered as a foreigner.
I paid this amount to complete the registration process.
However to my surprise, I was charged twice within one minute via two different transactions.
Both transactions were with different transaction ids which was very surprising as well as suspicious.
Moreover, despite being charged twice, I still haven't been able to make any bookings or check any trains.
For your reference here are the details of my profile and both the transactions:

Both transactions were with different transaction ids which was very surprising as well as suspicious.
There is no hope for me to make any enquiry because no one is responding.
The online chat is just an automated robot who cannot solve my problem.
I tried to write to IRTC but they don't have multiple attachment options!
Its not just the question of being charged twice, it is the question of a useless scamming website.
Just go online and read the reviews of people about India and IRTC!It makes us very uncomfortable as Indian origin people living overseas.
Not sure if you will help us or not but I'm raising my voice!
I have sent an email to yourself and office of the PMO too raising this concern, hoping for you to take carge of your role in the chosen government of Indian people!
