WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE…

This rating is based on the lack of support I have received since I sold my car and requested a pro rated refund. I submitted the request April 26, 2021. It is now July 30, 2021 and NOTHING. I have called and emailed MANY times and am told it is with accounting. I understand COVID has hurt staffing but they seem to have had enough staff to TAKE my payments on time.

This place is a total scam, they had no problem taking my down payment immediately and taking monthly payments on time, but God forbid you want to transfer your policy or talk to someone with any sense. I cancelled and went with Endurance, I'm finished with this fly by night garbage company. Oh did I say I was dissatisfied?

Infinite Auto Protection is a Criminal Enterprise

My experience is actually 0 stars. I have filed a complaint with Eastern Michigan BBB and Michigan Department of Attorney General. I have charged them with Fraud, Fraud Across State Lines and Breach of Contract. I have also charged the principal of the company individually with these crimes. I will contact an attorney if BBB does not get a satisfactory answer to my charges and the Department of AG does not take up the case. My suit will be for more than $20,000 in actual damages, (Audi A8L 4.0, damaged turbo chargers, $12,400; unpaid refund of cancelled policy less than 8 mos. of 36 mos. $2,200; costs related to new car purchase at least 3 years prior to planned new car purchase) and I believe I have solid, documented proof to support my allegations. I encourage anyone who has suffered damages and believes Infinite Auto Protection is a criminal enterprise to do the same

BUYER BE WARE!!!!! This company is a scam. They won't pay the claim to the auto repair shop amd you'll be stuck paying the whole bill.

The fan clutch on my 2015 GMC 6.6…

The fan clutch on my 2015 GMC 6.6 Duramax went bad went bad on a trip I was on w my family. Luckily, I was about 30 miles from GMC dealer. Pulled in to dealers service center. They did a diagnosis and said it was bad fan clutch. $770 to repair. Called for 3 hours including diagnosis. Contract says diagnosis is not covered if it involved a non covered part or if the covered part is not faulty. This to me means diagnosis is covered if it involved a covered part and that part is faulty. Infinite says no. Then they told me they would not pay $50 trip interruption for stay at Campground because labor time only called for 1.5 hours. Dealer did not have part in and had to wait till following day to complete repair. The company is not even covering half of the total cost. They are a joke. Go with another warranty company.

I bought the warranty from Infinite…

I bought the warranty from Infinite Auto Protection the Charles Hughes sold me the warranty he told me that anytime you file a claim you just have to pay only hundred dollar deductible my 2016 Land Rover radiator was not working so I took it to the dealer and they filed a claim to the Infinite Auto Protection and Infinite Auto Protection told me that I had to pay $300 we going to cover only 1.5 hours not 2 1/2 hours here to pay the difference. When this Charles Hughes want to sell the warranty he calls me every day. Now I want to cancel my warranty and I sent a bill of the sale a month ago and they still telling me billing department still processing your cancellations every time I called the customer service request a supervisor they told me that they will call you back in 24 hours I never get call.
Don’t trust Infinite Auto Protection because they are ripping off the customers and they’re scamming
And also I’m waiting for the refund two months now

DO NOT USE THESE FOLKS!

I have never been involved with a firm that devalues its customers so much! Your customer support is horrendous. I canceled my contract and it's been 3+ months with no refund. I currently have a case on file with the Michigan Attorney Generals office to cover what is rightfully mine. i would not reccomend you at all.

UPDATE: After getting the Michigan Attorney Generals office of Consumer Protection involved I finally got my refund! It’s a stall game folks! They want to see if you’ll give up! DON’T!!! Get the AG’s office involved!

Absolutely disappointing👎👎. Had two shops quote me an average of $1400 for repair and infinite auto protection will cover $273. They state the contract fine print says “aftermarket parts” so they will only cover a $73 radiator and 2hrs cheap labor!!!!! So bummed I got screwed on this one. If ur gona use this warranty company your better off not even getting one at all. Lose lose situation.

The worst company to deal with - 0 stars

SCAM SCAM SCAM ALERT!
This is the worst company to deal with! I purchased the vehicle service plan for 5 years (they can't name it extended warranty because they are not licensed to sell them - I already contacted the department of Financials).
This is fraud and actually a "great" business idea! They fake all the reviews, created a nice website and get thousands of dollar without paying anything or deny all the cases.
I have an issue with my transfer case after 15 month and paying full in advance (USD 2,300) for my 2015 BMW X5 with all maintenance done due to a maintenance cover plan until last month. So all services have been done. My car is at the dealership since 45 days and after several emails and 20-30 phone calls from my side and many calls from my dealership the are still delaying or hang up on you. Today I spoke to Jose and he still wanted to tell me that my case is still under review! Today is enough!!!

Don't trust this company or purchase anything from them - please check all the reviews you can find online - also BBB, Google...! You won't find any positive review for a repair that they covered and paid in full - not one!!!

I read a lot of reviews today and it looks like they are running out of money and positive reviews so they need to shut down their business model.

If I am not getting an answer by the end of the day I will involve the office of attorney general to get my case settled.

STAY AWAY !!!

Update: 05/27/2021

After 53 days they called me - the never respond to your email - and told me they found a used transfer case online for USD 1000 and they can send it to my repair shop. I ask about the condition, age, miles and warranty - they told me 'I don't know'. I told them I want more information about the transfer case and they never came back with any information. Now, after 60 days nothing is still not settled and the Department of Financial service took over. I will keep an update once I got more information. STAY AWAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN!!!

This is the worst company you could…

This is the worst company you could ever deal with or imagine in your life they take your money if you cancel they refused to send you your money back and if they do send you any believe me it's nowhere near what you paid and they will not cover any damages any repairs whatsoever what they claim they do but they don't they are very crooked very crooked do not go here you will be sorry I have been waiting almost one year for my refund and I only kept my policy about three months when I canceled it because they wouldn't cover any repairs be weary be very wary

Policy Refund

I purchased an extended warranty from Infinite Auto Protection on 8/21/19. I notified IAP on 4/16 that my car
was totaled and requested a refund. I was advised by the rep. that a manager would have to initiate the
request, and they would contact me. Shortly thereafter, I received an email stating that I would receive a
prorated refund once I provided documentation of the loss along with a picture of the odometer. The email
also stated that I would receive a final cancellation doc with my refund amount(never received). I replied bk
with the requested info, and also advised that I was entitled a full refund per my contract agreement. I have
called multiple times to follow up and am told that the refund is with the billing dept and they have no info
on when I could expect the refund. I have asked repeatedly to speak with a manager and have been either disconnected or routed to a VM, which goes unanswered. I just want a timeframe of when I can expect my $2,800 refund.

Dishonest, Rude and Aggressive

Please do not not do business with this company. I was promised several things by a sales representative which were documented, however they have all been violated during the claims process. I had a covered breakdown, and after 8 business days and several delays on their end they approved to cover. However, they did not follow the Mechanic's recommendation, and only approved 1/4 of the total price for the part stating a used part is available. However, they could not provide any source for that part being available anywhere. They provided another dismantler who they claimed had it, but after contacting him they had confirmed a different part that was not needed and cost less. I am now out of pocket $1,000 on a covered repair because they arbitrarily decided a price to pay out that is not based on any evidence. When I try to contact their customer service department, they hang up on me immediately after answering, or hang up during the middle of our conversation.

I’m 90% sure this is a scam operation (I do not throw that word around lightly)

Update 2 - - - The more I think about these interactions, the more suspicious I have become of this "company." Their behavior throughout this entire process has been extremely unusual. Especially in comparison to other warranty companies. So I did some digging. And you know what I found? MULTIPLE accounts similar to mine. MULTIPLE shops and customers waiting on payments. Some as long as 5-6 months. Check their BBB complaints. Read further down their Yelp page. Take a glance at Trust Pilot. Some people STILL have yet to get their money. Others have only gotten it after getting an attorney general involved.

Something is extremely wrong here. Either they are about to be out of business and are running out of funds OR they are a full blown scam operation. Their tactic? Non-payment on claims and contracts. Essentially, fraud. And to stay under the radar of the law, they only ever pay when an attorney general gets involved (AKA when they HAVE to, or else they're going down). That is how they're making their money. By wearing you down in hopes that you'll eventually give up on collecting your money.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS "COMPANY."

Update 1 - - - Called for an update 2 more times. The operator is completely unhelpful. He/she (couldn’t tell) kept repeating the same script about how I’m in line and someone will call. They responded with this to every one of my questions. Asked for a manager once again (politely - remember, I am also in customer service) and they refused to connect me. When I pressed further about WHY accounting was never in and WHY it was not possible to speak to a manager (basically alluding to them being scammers), I got hung up on.

So my next step? I contacted the customer. The customer then called Infinite and threatened to cancel their policy if we did not get paid. I finally got the payment call I’ve been waiting weeks for 10 minutes later. You know how long it took? 2 minutes. See? Not that hard. Doesn’t make sense why it should take weeks. Only makes sense if they are running a scam (which it looks like they are).

If you are a shop struggling to collect payment, this is what you need to resort to unfortunately. The nice and reasonable route does not work.

Original - - - I work at an auto repair shop and deal with lots of extended warranties. To sum it up: this is the worst company I have ever encountered in my 10 years of experience.

Getting them to approve a repair order is like pulling teeth. And when you do finally get them to authorize, they nickel and dime you on parts and repair times, leaving the customer to make up the difference. Then I have to play messenger between them and the customer, and of course the customer is never happy. How can anyone be happy about paying thousands of dollars for a warranty just to pay to get their car fixed anyway?

And the icing on the cake? It’s been 3 weeks since we finished a repair and I have yet to be paid for it. For reference, all other companies have always paid me within 3 days. Every time I call for an update they say “you are in line and accounting will call you to pay.” No one ever calls. I called again and asked if I could be transferred straight to accounting and was told “they are not in today.” Are they ever in? Is that why it’s been 3 weeks? The last time I called, I asked if I could be transferred to a manager and the operator told me they did not have the capability to do so. How??! Who are people supposed to talk to when there is an issue like this? What is going on? Either they are running a scam or their business model and customer service are just THAT awful.

So what are my options if I work with them in the future? Hold the customers car hostage for a month until I get paid for a job that only took 2 hours? Or make the customer pay me and have them argue back and forth with the warranty to get reimbursed? I will not be doing either of those. The next time a customer comes in and says they have Infinite Auto Protection as their warranty, I won’t just simply turn them away. No. I will go out of my way to talk the customer into canceling their policy with them and re-purchasing one with a more reputable company instead.

Steer clear

Steer clear! I sold my vehicle and requested a refund from Infinite Auto Protection in October of 2020. It's now April 2021 and they have still not refunded my cancelled service contract. I signed a final refund document on Jan 12th, 2021 that clearly states "your refund will be issued in 12-14 business days". It's been 3 months since then and still NOTHING. I've called multiple times w/ someone from customer service telling me "it's due to COVID. You are in line to get a refund" every time. This is a lie. Surely someone in their accounting department could have refunded my money within 3 months. My guess is they will respond to this review with the same lie. I would definitely search for a different extended warranty company before giving these guys any business.

Find anyone else to get a warranty

Find anyone else to get a warranty! They don't cover the full cost (use after market prices). They are rude on the phone. They can't give you direct answers. You'll end up with nothing but regret and no coverage.

Scam

I purchased a contract and they approved a repair to be done on my vehicle. Since I paid for the repairs upfront they agreed to reimburse me so I fax them all the info. One month passed nothing two months passed nothing and this is after I made several calls. I contacted the State of California and to my surprise they are not even licensed to do business in California and actually it's against the law to sale Vehicle Extended warranties in California unless it's purchased from a auto dealership. Now I get a check after the Attorney General office gets involved but I want all the money that I paid into a fraudulent purchase.

Absolutely GARBAGE coverage

Absolutely GARBAGE coverage - they did everything within their power to push AS MUCH COST back on me. Use their own phony numbers - denied labor hours by the shop - argued with me on the phone and when all said and done I incurred more of the cost of repair than the "warranty" company on a part that was supposed to be 100% covered! They discounted on their end as much as possible to save their own costs and by the end they covered a fraction of the actual job - their claims and figures are not based in reality - Stay AWAY from these thieves - there are much better companies out there. They clearly PAY for their FAKE REVIEWS and high rating - NOBODY SHOULD BUY THEIR SERVICE if you VALUE YOUR MONEY!

SCAM

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM just like all the other who wrote the same. I'll keep from using profanity but it's difficult. (3) weeks at the dealership and still no authorization form Infinite after giving them all the information they requested including the same information more than once. They need to be shut down and prosecuted. I'm going to the Attorney General of Michigan to demand action.
