Had a wonderful experience with Wendy and Ali at Portrack Lane shop. After my mum having a bad experience at another retailers, My mum was so upset and both ladies reassured her that they would be able to help and they did. We got a cuppa tea and biscuits while looked around store and made our minds up. On completing with the paper work and leaving both the ladies gave mum a massive hug and said if we were ever passing call in and say hello. Wendy and Ali I am sure we will and thank you both so so much x

We have just had a sette and recliner chair delivered by Paul and Thomas very professional team took care with our property fitted everything together put them in the place we wanted tested the recliner and went through what to do if we get a issue very please customer so from first going into the shop the staff were fantastic Steph Wendy and Alison to get the furniture delivered we could haven't got better service anywhere well done HSL

The delivery team of Carl & Graham kept me informed of their expected day and time of arrival and were more than happy to move existing furniture to allow for the new chair. Would recommend and use again.

Both John and Wendy from the Stockton branch were really friendly and helpful. They brought 2 chairs to my home to give me some options. There was no hard sell just lots of information to enable me to make a choice. I would thoroughly recommend them and HSL.

Im a returning customer to HSL ....need i say more? Service, customer care, politeness, quality of furniture all superb. Steph and John were so helpful it was a pleasure to see them again. I cant wait for my new sofa and chair to arrive. Thankyou so much ....also for the tea and biscuits!!

We purchased the chair from the stockton branch. Salesperson very helpful . The two delivery men were excellent. Carl and Lee.
Informed us of arrival and explained everything to us on how to maintain the chair.

From the helpfulness of all the ladies in the Stockton store to the great delivery team (Lee & Carl F), I couldn't have had a better experience. Customer service is absolutely top notch.

John and Wendy Stockton branch arrived for an home visit on time. I tried the Aysgarth 4 motor riser recliner and found it exceeded my expectations. Both John and Wendy were so nice patient and helpful no pressure to buy lovely people. Anyway I placed my order and now look forward to delivery, highly recommend.

The two Stockton branch staff Wendy and Steph were excellent in helping us arrive at a decision that met our requirements in terms of their knowledge and helpfulness with regards the chair fitting and colour coordination for our room decor. No pressure sales, just honest information delivered in a supportive and friendly manner.

John and Ali from Stockton were both very friendly, efficient and explained everything very clearly so we knew exactly what we were buying. Nothing was too much trouble and my husband was able to sit in a chair and try it out.

Everything from start to delivery was fantastic, staff in the shop were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. Checking to make sure the chair met my mams needs and getting them a cuppa tea, it's the small gestures that make all the difference. Delivery lads Alex & Asad were lovely, making sure it worked and trying different areas of the room to see where was best. Thanks to all and she is very pleased with the chair :-)

The appointment was arranged through a telephone conversation with staff at the York showroom who were extremely helpful. Wendy and John arrived on time and both were very knowledgeable about the products and the history of HSL. I was nervous when using the chair to recline and stand but they guided me in a friendly, professional manner. The Ripley chair was extremely comfortable and I’m now waiting impatiently for my own to arrive!

Craig and Jed delivered my chair today 21st April. They rang to say the time they would be with me. They were polite, friendly and very professional in their job. They were nice guys.
Along with the girls in the shop my experience with HSL was extremely good. Thank you all concerned.

We initially visited the Stockton-on-Tees branch to view the furniture on display. We were assisted by Luke, who was very helpful and left us alone to try out a number of suites that we liked and discuss our findings with each other, but being there whenever we sought further information. We left with brochures etc to peruse at home.
We revisited the store on 7 April 2026 where we were met by Allison, who again helped us with further queries and guided us into making our final choice, result: 1 x 3-piece suite purchased.
Both members of staff were very knowledgeable about the various styles, sizes and options of furniture and their coverings and were courteous throughout.
