I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Gordon at Horologica.
My very old barometer hasn't worked for at least 40-50 years! He not only got it working it looks amazing.
He should be on BBC 1 The Repair Shop

I sent Gordon an email explaining the problem with our clock, and he phoned and spent almost half an hour helping me fix it over the phone, without charging me anything. His generosity was extraordinary and his knowledge of clocks very, very impressive. He will definitely be the first person I phone if I have clock problems again.

Our antique German mantel clock hadn’t worked since the 1920s. Restoring it to working order challenged Gordon but it was a challenge he met with patience, expertise and an obvious love of clocks.
We were kept fully informed at every stage and the modest charge made hardly reflected the time and dedication given.

Gordon cut and replaced a heavy bevelled clock glass for me. A fantastic service start to finish..at a very reasonable price...the work carried out is perfect in every way....

I called today to discuss my mantle clock and was talked through the possible causes of the fault and some things to try before bringing the clock for repair. This was a very honest approach, I was given lots to consider and not pushed into a decision. I will definitely not hesitate in calling again. Very knowledgeable and genuine.

I contacted Gordon for help with our Franz Hermles mechanism encased within a very unique bespoken clock. I am based in Birmingham and he was the only contact from the start that was willing to discuss the issue, explain what to try and do to even possibly resolve (before even discussing using his services)

After finding a broken part and sending photos, Gordon was able to identify the part and confirm he could repair and even forewarned me of any other issues it may have caused - but no way of knowing until in his hands. Unfortunately the mechanism had been welded in places and attached to the unique bespoken grandfather clock face and I needed to either post this heavy dial to him, or drive there personally...

I took the chance and drove there for an on site repair and left it with Gordon who was very kind and friendly and said he would contact if any concerns or when it was finished. Within 2 hours he had called and the mechanism was repaired and since then has kept time perfectly ever since.

I recommend Horologica and its owner Gordon wholeheartedly and assure any new customers of this site that it is trustworthy and knowledgeable. This is why I drove out of Birmingham and made a 280 mile round trip.

My Moorcroft ceramic clock stopped working. Gordon explained that he cannot source the same mechanism as the company has stopped making them. He spent a lot of time fitting a new mechanism, made it fit perfectly, and even managed to place the Moorcroft name on the face.

We took two clocks to Gordon to be assessed, both have sentimental value. Firstly, one was the clock from my Father's WW11 Lancaster and the second an extremely rare collectible retro electronic timepiece from the early ‘60’s.
The electronic clock because of its rarity, parts are extremely difficult to source but Gordon through his perseverance, was able to find intricate pieces to repair the clock back to its original working order. The aircraft clock, again through his incredible knowledge and skill, was able to repair this to its working order. We are both thrilled with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend Horological (Gordon) to anybody requiring a clock to be repaired.

Life handed me a clock.
It came over from England (I am in the States) in a shipping container and was unlike anything I’d seen before.
Gordon helped me to narrow down it’s provenance by generously sharing his knowledge of early tall case clocks.
