Contacted Homegaurd as we needed a…
Contacted Homegaurd as we needed a repair, they gave us a number for a contractor who took two days to turn up. Once here he looked at the machine announced he didn't have the part in stock (£8 next day from Amazon) and left. That was 3 days ago. I have since called the contractor who had no information from the engineer and was told the repair could take up to 8 weeks.
I have spoken to Homeguard and was promised a call back, I have yet to hear from them. The service from Homeguard and its contractor has been unacceptable.

I was very pleased with the service I got from Homeguard. When my washer was too old and obsolete to be repaired they offered me two comparable options. I was happy to have one of the options.
Friendly and helpful customer services
Friendly and helpful customer services, speedy fault diagnosis and my machine was replaced with a brand new one within 48 hours of calling. Superb.
Homeguard The people not to trust with your product protection
Homeguard rang me up to protect my products, when I said no they were insistent that I did not need to provide receipts. So eventually after numerous calls I took up their offer.
However once my product needed repairs I had an over jealous engineer, who would not except that the fault lay with the product.
He was rude and cost me to get plumbers out. Even then the plumbers were no good. In the end I requested Homeguard that I did not want this engineer in my home, there response, well his started the job therefore he has to finish.
After months of stating I did not want this engineer in my home, I was not giving the option.
Even thought my products were gifts provided to me three years ago, I was told by very rude customer services that the most they could over me was £99 pounds as when they looked at the product it was manufactured 10 years ago.
I requested to speak with managers, even their ceo but no name was given.
I advised that the product may be old but it was purchased 3 years ago. Would they listen no?. Wanted receipts, even though at the time when I had explained I did not have receipts that they accepted me as a customer.
What was worse I had a leaking dishwasher that I could not use for over 3 months. In the meantime looking after an vulnerable elderly father we had to handwash everything. Still the computer said NO.
They could not accept that I did not want the rude engineer in my home, it was a case of you have to have him in your home, as he started the job...
Dreadful service, would not recommend them to anyone. And will be cancelling my current service. The only reason I have not is because I have been busy looking after my vulnerable father.
Wished I had never joined them.
The service I received from Home Guard…
The service I received from Home Guard was excellent.. when my washing machine stopped working I contacted the service department and they put me in touch with their engineers . They informed me that it was irreparable and they gave me the choice of two very similar machines . After choosing which one I wanted the machine was dispatched immediately. The delivery service was very good,, and even though I was installing the machine myself they put it in my utility room. The new machine is excellent and I was very impressed by the service I received.

I received excellent service from…
I received excellent service from Homeguard. The replacement washing machine was in place so quickly that that was no worry that laundry would pile up and cause me difficulty. The new machine is similar to the old one but with new improved features. Value for money was excellent. I would recommend Homeguard to anyone, but particularly to the elderly like myself.
