Very professional made everything easy

Associate director consciously chose to breach trust rendering my relationship with the company as both a seller and buyer, completely untenable. My interests were secondary as demonstrated by their actions.

We went through the process of buying our first house throughout 2025, and what often felt like an endless battle finally ended in success.
Throughout the entire process, the team at Holden Copley kept us informed and offered helpful advice at every stage. Their communication was excellent, and they were always responsive to our questions and concerns.
We’re especially grateful for the many viewings, phone calls, and emails they handled along the way. Buying a first home can be stressful, but their support and persistence helped make the journey much easier.

I can't fault this company. They were always friendly and professional during my dealings with them, and I got a lovely gift when I picked up my keys! Josie, the sales progressor, was stand out. The transaction had a few complications and delays, but they were dealt with calmly and she always kept me updated. Thank you 👏

I have recently been dealing with the West Bridgford branch regarding the sale of my property and unfortunately the experience has been very disappointing.

Communication has been poor and inconsistent. I have repeatedly had to chase for updates, often receiving out-of-office replies or no response at all. Each time I make contact I seem to deal with a different member of staff, making it difficult to obtain clear or consistent information.

Due to the way the sale has been handled and the lack of communication, I have now had to submit a formal complaint. The process has been unnecessarily stressful and overall I am very dissatisfied with the service provided.

To improve, the branch should ensure clearer and more consistent communication with clients. Assigning a single point of contact and keeping all parties with a legal interest in a property properly informed would make a significant difference, along with responding to emails in a timely manner.

I am in the process of buying a property through Holden Copley West Bridgford, and the whole experience has been great. Buying a home can be stressful at the best of times, but the team kept everything moving smoothly and were always easy to deal with.

A big shoutout to Kerry Thomas, who's been fantastic throughout. She was open and transparent throughout the whole process, kept me updated without me ever needing to chase, and was always happy to answer any questions. It's made the whole thing feel a lot less daunting.

If you’re buying or selling, I’d definitely recommend Holden Copley West Bridgford.

Just don't ...

We used them a couple of years back, and to be honest, I'd rather forget the whole experience. It's taken me a while to want to write a review because I was just so frustrated by using Holden, and it made me feel kinda let down and cross about it when I thought about it. I need a completely clear headspace from it.

I stood in as a go-between for a relative's house that was being sold. I'll be straight up to say it wasn't in the best condition inside, a lot of stuff and a lot of tidying to do.

The (second - first was shocking) agent that came around to start the process at first was great, said not to worry about it, he had a relative that had some mental health challenges that had spilt over into his home life. I felt at ease here, and we went ahead to get the house on the market.

A later meeting with this agent, he then said, 'well not gonna lie, it is a state!' and the attitude was just different in that conversation. I don't know if he meant it or if it was just a throwaway comment, but it upset me a bit. For Holden, I guess it was a sale; for me, there was another story to why this family member had gotten to this state.

Before we'd so-called signed on the dotted line, nothing was too much trouble and lots of comments to not worry, Holden had dealt with this before, and how common it was. To yeah .. signed on and now it's a state.

Just crap behaviour.

We had another issue with them with the first agent. I complained and had a lot of back and forth with one of the partners of Holden that promised to call me or come out and meet me. This was promised multiple times, and that call/visit didn't happen. This did swap the first agent to the second, so I'll give them that.

Found it a shame because years (and I mean years) back, my grandparents had used them for a couple of their house sales and couldn't rate them enough.

Wish we'd used another company. I think Holden does well to remember a cluttered house isn't just clutter; sometimes there's a tragic story behind it, that's personal to the people involved in the sale.

Holden Copley operates with a sales progressor role after offer acceptance and I must say I have really appreciated the help and reassurance of Lianna at the Long Eaton branch. She has acted as an intermediary all along the chain which has been vital to finally getting the purchase completed.

Having sold two properties with Holden Copley, one within a matter of weeks and the 2nd within 4 days, you not be surprised that we are singing their praises. From the get go, they are polite, professional and honest.we sold our Fathers house just over a Yr ago with minimal bother. And more recently sold our own home within 4 days ! The staff are always available to talk and answer any questions. Lianna was always very responsive, even though sometimes I may have bombarded her with the same queries.They did exactly what they said would do.sold our house and for more than we originally advertised . Highly highly reccomend this company

From start to finish, Holden Copley managed the sale of my mum’s house really well. They were professional and approachable in all communications. I would thoroughly recommend them from a selling point of view. No experience of buying through them, but have no reason to believe that tye service would be any different.
