very bad experience
We registered with this company and we had to deal with a very unprofessional cleaner. This company is just a platform so any problems you have with your ‘self employed’ cleaner (who is actually a random off the street) and it’s ‘sorry read the terms and conditions’ and you have to pay the charges. I found it much better to find a local cleaner directly.

As you are probably aware, the cleaners on the platform are all self employed individuals and when cases arise where the customer and cleaner are clearly in dispute, Helpling must act as a mediator and follow the guidelines, policies and procedures we have in place to ensure that the resolution is in accordance with these and as fair as we can possibly make it.
We understand that whilst this case may have not been resolved in your favour, we are a platform serving both our customers and the cleaners.

Awful experience
They say they send you professional cleaners but in our case it was just some guy who wanted to earn a bit of extra money on the side.
He did an awful job cleaning (most surfaces he cleaned were still dirty, he didn't do the full list of things we asked and he decided half an hour before his time was up that there was nothing left to do and finished!)
The company make it super hard to cancel the subscription and in the end asked us to give the guy some money just to support him because he is relying on the income.
If you're looking for a cleaner, post in your local facebook group and get someone who cleans places permanently, is experienced and relies on word of mouth.

As you are probably aware, the cleaners on the platform are all self employed and whilst we can offer advice to the cleaners to help improve their skills, we cannot make it obligatory for them to attend any training courses or to take our advice on board. We do have a myriad of cleaners on the platform who have a wealth of positive reviews and who have very happy customers. If you'd like some assistance with rebooking with a different cleaner, we'd be more than happy to help.
We have made it very easy for customers to cancel via their account, just click 'Manage' and scroll down and click 'Cancel'. We do ask for cancellation reasons as all feedback helps up to ensure a better service for our customers.
In regards to payments, cleaners are only paid once the money is received from the customers and this is the way with many other marketplaces.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Easy way to find local cleaners - with no strings attached! We loved using Helpling to find a cleaner for our home, and found one quickly by selecting the days and times we wanted cleaning. You are then able to choose between cleaners in the area, whose profile and ratings you can see before accepting. Payment is taken via credit card right after every clean, and cleaners can set their own rates which is great. Highly recommend.

So far Helpling has been Excellent!
So far - so excellent! Helpling has lived up to its name of being very helpful in finding an available Cleaner - who is delightful & very efficient - explaining about payments and enabling myself and our new Cleaner to communicate before we met to sort out a few queries. A TREMENDOUS EXPERIENCE!!!
This organization has a 0 tolerance towards cleaners and only protects customers ... I want to tell you my story:
I had an appointment with a client to clean his house and that day while I was going to him there were some unexpected events in the public transport ... I promptly notified him of my delay and he agreed to send the appointment
Subsequently I wrote to him several times to ask for an appointment but he never answered me ... the Helpling platform was not updated by him or by Helpling and so I contacted the customer by phone for the fact that Helpling did not intervene to solve the problem.
I have made a new appointment with the landlord but the day before I contacted him saying I couldn't ...
At this point he started threatening me that he would ruin my reputation by reporting this to Helpling and then doing a bad review on me.
I wrote to Helpling asking for support and they defended the client that he deserved to be sued for his aggressive behavior and I was also eliminated from working with them
IT WAS A TREMENDOUS EXPERIENCE .... Also generally the salary is very low and customers want in most cases very thorough cleaning that requires a minimum of 15 pounds per hour and not 8-9 pounds
A SHAME!!!!
DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY !!!
0 PROTECTION TOWARDS THE CLEANER AND VERY LOW PAY.... VERY VERY BAD!!!

Helpling are thieves
Cleaner stopped attending property and stopped answering phone calls / texts. During this time, Helpling continued to charge us for cleaning services that did not take place. Helpling customer service is now refusing to refund the fraudulent charges, saying that "the cleaner has to confirm first". Helpling has now stopped responding to emails and as they do not have a phone number, there is no other way to chase. Helpling takes a large cut of cleaners' wages and clearly there is no additional service that justifies this. AVOID!

Having looked into your account, I can confirm that your payment has already been refunded for the booking where your cleaner did not attend and will reach your account in 5-10 working days. As with any dispute, it's important that we hear both sides of the story, hence why we had to confirm with the cleaner too before creating any deductions to their future payouts, this is crucially important as we work with self employed individuals and require their consent and confirmation.
In regards to cleaner payouts, all cleaners set their own rates per hour and can clearly see what the customer will be paying when setting their payouts.
