I cancelled my account over a month ago…

I cancelled my account over a month ago because my wife is seriously ill. Hello fresh reactivated the account without my permission. Despite contacting them again and them promising me again that the account was cancelled a delivery arrived this morning and they took the money from my bank account. This is despicable behaviour targeting and harassing vulnerable elderly people especially when one of them had been seriously ill for a couple of months now.

Very poor quality of vegetables

Very poor quality of vegetables. I tried twice, and everytime was the same. And delivery is always late. First time they brought 10.30p.m, last delivery i got the message that should be at 1p.m, delivery was done 3.30p.m.
Receipts are easy to cook.

They took payment from my back twice…

They took payment from my bank twice without me completing an order and giving permission. Even having unsubscribed still have payments taken out unauthorised.

Harassed by Phone Calls

Initially the service seemed really good, however they have called me at least twice a week for the last 2 months since I closed my account. This was in spite of the fact that, on the first such call, I told them not to call me again. I would not recommend them unless you want to be harassed!

The free treat I ordered with 1st box…

The free treat I ordered with 1st box the overnight oats were picked as I thought they would be handy to give to my 2 year old. Despite being in date they were extremely gone off. I’m just thankful I tasted it before giving it to him. 2nd box arrived without me ordering. Most of its contents will not be eaten. Do not like most of the meal choices. Sceptical about the freshness of the food given how gone off the overnight oats are.

My first few boxes were great…

My first few boxes were great but recently I've had ingredients missing, veg that was off and definitely not enough sweet potato cubes for two people. I've had a missing dessert which was disappointing.

Fiod not fresh. Meat has very poor expiry dates

Food is constantly sent with very close expiry dates. I often have to batch cook meals in order to use the chicken or turkey within the use by date. Also veg goes off pretty quick so I suspect it’s not overly fresh either.
Could do with providing things like low fat crème fraiche and for the Thai or Eastern foods, the sauces like sweet Asian sauce or ketjap manis is full of sugar. I’m getting bored of the meals now. The taste enhancers used to flavour a dish are not high quality. After my next order, I will most likely cancel completely.

So worth it

As someone who can cook but just hates it this has been a game changer! Meal planning and waste had been big problems for me. Not knowing any recipes off the dome, not being able to intuitively combine ingredients, buying something too big for just one person and having it go bad within days. Made me just eat pasta and ready made sauce and call it a day.

But now, I’ve got choices of recipes with only the amounts I need so nothing goes to waste. The portion sizes are perfect (plus I get a 2 for 1 since I’m the only one eating them😝). Got step by step instructions on what I’m making and it’s usually relatively simple. And the foods just really good honestly. Even the prices are amazing considering today’s economy. I’m definitely saving more with this subscription I think.

Also get so many free desserts which is a win to me.
