Very disappointing experience with collagen type 2
I purchased Collagen Type 2 from Healthy Supplies, but when it arrived, I immediately noticed an extremely foul smell. The taste was so unpleasant that it made me feel like vomiting, and the product was definitely not suitable for adding to shakes, soups, or any other food or drink.
I contacted Healthy Supplies to raise my concerns, but they initially told me that the smell and taste were normal for this product. After sending a second email explaining that I considered it a potential health hazard and unfit for human consumption, they eventually agreed to issue a refund.
However, they refused to reimburse me for the postage costs of returning the product, which I found very disappointing—particularly as the item appeared to be expired. I was also unhappy that it took repeated communication before they accepted responsibility and arranged the refund.
Overall, I am very dissatisfied with both the product and the customer service I received, and I would not feel confident ordering from Healthy Supplies again.
I note again the product was spoiled 100% , no doubt in that.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, and we're sorry the Type 2 Collagen Peptides didn't work out for you.
We do want to clarify one point for accuracy: you raised concerns with us that the product smelled "spoiled," and our Quality Team checked samples from this batch in response — they found no fault. The strong aroma is a natural characteristic of this minimally processed, chicken-sternum-derived collagen.
We did agree a full refund of £28.99 once you let us know the product wasn't working for you, and processed this as soon as the return arrived. We also offered a goodwill voucher, which is still available to use — the details are in our email correspondence with you.
On the return postage: we explained before the return was sent that this would be at your own expense, as is standard when a product isn't faulty, so we weren't able to reimburse this on this occasion.

I ordered an item from this Company a month ago on EBAY, the item never turned up, I have contacted the Company 5 times now and they just say that the item is in transit. This company are incompetent, and they are refusing to refund my money. their customer support is non existent. and now EBay are refusing to deal with the problem. I SUGGEST THAT YOU DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Responsibility to abide by laws.
I have email back & forth to there office for days discussing the relevance of actually selling products before there ‘best before date” I am sure it is against the law sell products that are out of date. I bought a product from them recently a packet of ground Almond flour. Which I have now found out had past its “best before date in June 2026. I bought on 2nd of August which is definitely 2 months difference. Not that I am an expert but I have done Health & Safety level a few years over the year & have been taught it against the law to sell good that are out of date. They are still very adamant that I can not have a refund due to the legitimacy of there product. People really need more education I feel.

We are sorry you were unhappy with your purchase, but we do need to correct an important factual error in this review.
It is not against UK law to sell food after its Best Before date. The Food Standards Agency explicitly confirms that food can legally be sold after this date - it is food with Use By dates that cannot legally be sold after the date has passed.
This product was purchased from our clearly marked 'Clearance' section, which is specifically for food which has exceeded the Best Before date, and the date was very clearly displayed on the product page before purchase. We put this here for full transparency so customers have all the information, and know exactly what it is they are purchasing.
At Healthy Supplies, we hate unnecessary food waste. Customers have specifically asked us to offer perfectly good food beyond its Best Before date at a reduced price, rather than see it unnecessarily thrown away. We are therefore very happy to make such products available where appropriate, while being completely transparent about their dates.
We are particularly surprised by the assertion that this is illegal, given the reference in the review to having undertaken Health & Safety training. The distinction between these two types of date is a fundamental principle of food labelling.
This isn't simply our interpretation of the law — it is confirmed by the Food Standards Agency's own guidance.

I bought the type 2 collagen ( chicken sternum) and couldn’t stomach the smell. I have an iron constitution and can usually eat anything. I had to bin the product.

Poor Customer Services
The items of food I requested were not delivered because Evri damaged the items, but I had to chase Healthy Supplies and inform them! When I eventually managed to track everybody down, I received a very bland AI response informing me that they would not send a package because it might get damaged again and asking if I would like a voucher! I requested a full refund. Sadly, I will not be using them again due to the time delay in chasing everyone.

I'm very sorry to hear that first, your order unfortunately got damaged whilst in the courier's care, and that secondly, you felt you needed to chase us about this.
We do not receive any notification of parcels being damaged or lost from the couriers themselves, and this has applied to every courier we have worked with. I'm sorry that this isn't possible for them to do.
Because of this, we do need our customers to let us know if there is a delay, if anything is amiss upon arrival, or if nothing has arrived at all so that we can get things resolved for them as quickly as possible.
I can assure you that we offered both a full refund or a voucher to use on your next order. We like being able to give our customers a choice, just in case they may prefer one over the other. I can also confirm that your full refund, as requested, has been processed as of today.
Please note that we do not operate over the weekend - your email reached us on Saturday and was answered as promptly as possible on Monday with consistent replies following afterwards; all from a real person.
I hope this clears things up and should you choose to shop with us again, we'll be on hand to try and ensure the experience is better than this one.

I bought the type 2 collagen
I bought the type 2 collagen. It smells so bad that even triple bagged I couldn't keep it in the cupboard and after handling it my hands needed thorough washing to get rid of the smell. I emailed but was told the bad smell ( like chicken poo) was normal. There should be a warning if it is. I was concerned that it could be spoiled. No refund.
