I never thought you could get a good jamon online and being so far from my country. However, my family and me enjoyed the taste of this Paletilla every single morning during last Christmas. I'll order another one soon.

Josh was extremely responsive and helpful through several rounds of phone tag and subsequent conversations. He's extremely knowledgable. And I don't think it's possible for anyone with a brick-and-mortar operation to compete with his pricing

I found Hamlovers online while planning our Christmas season. I lived in Spain for 6 years and after moving to the U.S. I was definitely missing my Christmas Jamón.

I've got my Jamón Serrano about a week after buying it, it was a very good piece (a little bit on the expensive side perhaps, but justified given the weight and burden of shipping it overseas).

I definitely recommend this company and I'm sure I will buy again from them in the future.

It is quite a special birthday treat to have my jamon shipped directly to my doorstep in Hawaii. I would definitely try to have some ham in Europe at about half the price!

I ordered the Hamlovers sampler pack. Ordering was easy and shipping was quick but the quality of the meats were not good and one of the meats(Serrano) advertised in the pack was not included and Chorizo and Salchichon was sent in its place. I was looking forward to eating Serrano. On the edges of each slice of Lomo, there were small bland tasting clear crystals that dissolved while chewing that gave it an unpleasant texture until they dissolved. Also, throughout each slice of Jamon Iberico there were small bright white hard crystal/chunks. These did not dissolve and gave it an off texture. I'm guessing the crystals were curing chemicals but I have eaten these kinds of meats before and I have never seen these crystals before. The Jamon Iberico had great flavor but all the other meats that came as part of the sampler pack had a plastic like flavor like they had picked up the flavor of the plastic packaging. I do not find this plastic like flavor appetizing and will probably throw them out.. I am willing to order from Hamlovers again but I will not be ordering this product ever again. Even though this pack is a less expensive item, I expected better meat quality.

In Spain, we loved 5J ham, so for Christmas I ordered a small package of sliced Bellota ham to share with guests. After I'd placed my order, I had a question about storing the meat after it arrived and I received a prompt and pleasant response. I would definitely order the ham again for a special occasion. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. I bought a wedge of manchego to go with it and we loved it all. The ham was delicious and reminded us of our wonderful trip this summer.

To start with, I'm from Spain, so I know the quality of a good ham. All the fat around the ham was pink when cut, that is a great sign, when it turns yellow, the ham is too cured, flavor starts to change. Ordering was very simple, and delivered in a timely manner.

The only reason I do not give them 5 stars is because they billed the wrong weight initially. The ham was smaller than advertise, so the price had to be adjusted. It is also true that it required only a simple phone call to get it fixed, but they should pay a little more attention to the weight before it ships out (the actual weight of the ham was shown on the label).

I am from Spain and know Jamon Serrano. I was afraid to order a whole leg as it is costly and may not be of good quality. This ham was excellent and my whole family enjoyed carving slices everyday during the holidays, just as if we were in Spain!!!!

Even though I was not able to get my copy in time for Christmas, Josh and his team got the book out to me as quickly as possible. Thank you for the type of service that is so missing from most retailers.

The ham was very good quality (I am a Spaniard from Extremadura, the cradle of cerdo iberico). Unfortunately, the shipping box was opened/damaged (some care can be put in here) and a smaller part of the order was missing. I was refunded for the missing item immediately. A very good experience and a Xmas party cutting real ham.

For the second time I ordered a iberico small full ham -paletilla- I got surprised about the size of the paletilla when I opened the box, it looked very small! I checked the weight which should be 12-13 lb and attached to the piece you can clearly see 10.17lb!!!!! For the second time, the paletilla that I got is far smaller than what I payed for, for the second time. I am spanish and a big Ham Lover but I don't think I can trust this website anymore. I can understand a bit of difference on the size but twice and always smaller keeping the same price? I don't believe is fair for the consumer.
