Easy to follow, straightforward no fuss

I booked the Sisterhood Bosnia Experience at the very last minute (two days prior to departure) with no prior experience or knowledge of HTG. The trip turned out to be a sister's wish come true. Bosnia itself was absolutely priceless—the natural beauty, rich heritage, and the warmth of the people made it unforgettable. But what truly elevated the experience was the incredible HTG team (and I say that without a hint of exaggeration). Our tour guide, Selma, was an absolute rockstar. She kept the group grounded, nurtured a harmonious and supportive atmosphere, and ensured we were well taken care of every step of the way.

From the start to the end of my trip and returning home, I did not experience any disappointment. I booked and everything else was taken care of.

This is my first time solo travelling and I’m SO happy I booked with Halal Travel guide!! First and foremost I must commend them on their excellent customer service and experience- They made everything so smooth and easy from the moment of booking . They were extremely responsive; within a couple of hours of messaging or emailing , I got a reply with all my questions answered. Not only that, they made a WhatsApp group with one of the managers/ owner of the company, another employee Gia who was the organiser and point of contact for our trip, and also Selma, our tour guide who was with us every day. Everything ran on time and so smoothly- transport from the airport as well as daily pick up and drop offs were on time , and felt very safe. If we were unhappy with anything , it was sorted very quickly by Gia or Selma.

I have to speak about Selma- our tour guide. She made the experience so amazing, so fun and so informative- she is an amazing woman who we all bonded with so much! Thank you Selma for making this trip so memorable.

We did so many things in such a short space of time , from the Sarajevo tunnel of hope to the old town to the beautiful and breathtaking short hike amongst the mountains with an amazing homemade lunch from a sweet Bosnian woman. Then we went off to Mostar which was just stunning. What made this trip so unique is that we were able to go to eat at the places the locals go to, we were able to do things that we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to do on our own, for example a fig cake making class in a Bosnian home - this was a a great experience with a Bosnian family who were so welcoming and generous! I would DEFINITELY book again! I felt safe as a woman travelling on my own and this is one of the biggest perks of the trip.

Thank you for your message.

While I appreciate the follow-up, my disappointment lies not in the response time but in the handling of the situation as a whole. There was no refund, as no payment was made, and rather than seeking a constructive resolution, I was excluded from future services.

I’m grateful not to be proceeding further. As no successful resolution was found, I can only leave it here — though I would strongly advise investing in better complaint-handling practices moving forward.

It was wonderful to travel with a ladies only group with a female tour guide. HTG dealt with all enquiries before the trip and throughout the trip. Had an amazing time in Bosnia with the very knowledgeable local tour guide, Selma, who was very helpful and kind. Met some amazing muslimahs of different ages and backgrounds and had the pleasure of discovering Bosnia's history and sights with a lovely group of people.
Thank you to Selma, Gia and Soumaya and to the "Number 1 Selma's Group". It was my first time travelling with HTG and thoroughly enjoyed it- looking forward to bringing my family to Bosnia one day soon Insha'Allah to learn more about the bravery and resilience of her people and to see some more beautiful sights iA.

My Uzbekistan trip with Halal Travel was a wonderful escape from home and gave me the opportunity to connect deeply with Islamic history. I also learned so much about the culture, people, and history of Uzbekistan. What made it even more special was being able to experience and learn about the history directly from the locals—it added a truly authentic touch.

Although our group was small, it was filled with energy and a shared enthusiasm for history. I was blessed to find a sister in Shameema and a brother in Zackriya—MashaAllah, both showed incredible patience and kindness, especially towards Safiya, the youngest in our group.

Humoyun was an outstanding guide—well-organized, well-prepared, and incredibly knowledgeable about every topic he discussed. His amazing team—Rahmatullah, Saodat, and Ameera—were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, which enhanced our experience even more.

Alhamdulillah, it was a memorable and enriching journey and I am looking forward to join halal travel guide again for another memorable trip InshaAllah.

Right from the Airport and back to the airport I can't fault a thing. Hotels were amazing, comfortable, clean and spacious. Sites we visited were brilliant, full of history and personal stories. The food we ate were delicious and the company has left us with life time friends.

I spent the the 3rd week of Ramadan in Bosnia with HTG. They cultivated a wonderful and safe environment for the group and took care of all our holiday AND spiritual needs, even outside of the itinerary eg arranging transport to visit the old town in our own time. Alhamdulillah, I was blessed with the opportunity to visit the beautiful and historically rich lands of Bosnia, where the echoes of the adhan resonate through stunning mountains and ancient streets. This journey was not just a trip, but a profound lesson in faith, resilience, and the unyielding strength of the Muslim Ummah.

From the iconic Stari Most in Mostar, where the Neretva River carries the memories of sacrifice, to the serene Tekija in Blagaj, a spiritual sanctuary nestled beneath towering cliffs—every moment was a reminder of Allah’s majesty. Walking through the Tunnel of Hope in Sarajevo, I felt the struggle of the Bosnian people during the war, their unwavering trust in Allah (tawakkul) shining through the darkest times. Sarajevo’s Old Bazaar and its historic mosques whispered stories of Ottoman heritage, while Travnik’s colorful streets and fortress stood as a testament to Bosnia’s enduring legacy.

A special jazakAllah khairan to Brother Sami Hamdi, whose insightful reflections on the Bosnian struggle deepened my understanding of their struggle and sabr. Our amazing tour guides, Sister Selma and Brother Nedim, brought the history to life with their knowledge, warmth, and humor—may Allah reward them abundantly.

And to the beautiful group of believers I traveled with—your companionship was a blessing. Together, we shared laughter, tears, and duas, embodying the brotherhood and sisterhood Islam teaches us.

Highly recommend going with HTG to Bosnia (especially in Ramadan), it was well organized with an itinerary full of rich history.

The speakers/guides were excellent, Sami Hamdi is as passionate about Islamic history in real life as he appears on podcasts. Nadeem and Selma were amazing guides, and it was the first time I listen to tour guides who don’t just share the country’s history, but also share their own - as they themselves and their families went through the Bosnian war/genocide.

There’s much to say about Bosnia, but beyond its natural beauty and rich history, it’s the people that are the highlight - showing us the resilience and strength of the Muslim Ummah, even when it stands alone

I went back and forth on booking this trip and almost left it too late. Thankfully I managed to join the tour and am so much the richer for it. In a world that feels heavy and broken I was shown something unbreakable, the deen of the Bosnians.

I had a lovely experience in Bosnia with the tour. It did not feel like a tour, it really was like talking to a friend and that is something I will always remember. My experience with HTG was truly one of the best experiences of my life! I do not exaggerate the friendly nature of the tour guide Nadim and the informative tour he was able to deliver! This by far is the best tour I’ve ever been on in my life and I would come back to do it again! The buses that we took were spacious and comfortable. We were allowed a good amount of time at each location, we didn’t feel rushed. The guide was always happy to answer any questions and encouraged it too! Overall, just an amazing experience and would definitely recommend to anyone if you are looking for an experience of a lifetime!
