Experienced Project Manager: it was a waste of time.
I'm an experienced Project Manager. I filled all the information required by the job site. In 4 weeks I got ~4 job matches, which were not relevant to my preferences, from industry sectors I'm not interested in.
It was a waste of time. I think recruiters can provide a more personalized service.

Good app to find employment
Great experience as someone looking for new employment. I got contacted by a few employers and used the app to also find employers looking for my desired roles. I got a few interviews and finally landed a job offer from one of the employers who contacted me. The only thing I would say is that some of the jobs they matched me did not fit my uploaded CV or profiles

Thanks for feeding back here. The companies using hackajob choose to have their jobs open to candidates that would need to relocate. Some choose to open their roles up this way, others prefer to have them only focused on local candidates.
This is typically due to past experiences with relocating candidates dropping out of the process at later stages, at a high rate.
We work with companies to try and open roles up, and considering relocation is an ongoing topic, but ultimately, the decision to make this change rests with the companies themselves.

Applying for a Suggested Role Got Me An Interview at a Dream Company
The AI suggested roles you apply get you real visibility to top senior recruiters that Are looking for real talent. I was skeptical at first. Hackajob recommends you put in applications for roles they match you with based on analyzing your resume. The recruiters are then granted visibility to those who respond to these matches.

You cannot apply for a job until you choose job types you are looking for. However, it does not list Internal Communications Manager, Communications Manager or Engagement Manager, ironically despite the fact this is the role advertised (for BA) I am trying to apply for. It does not let you skip this step.

Thanks for the feedback here, I've requested more info as I'd love to look into this specific example and see if I can help generate the match in the short-term.
Taking a longer term view this feedback is really useful, we know it's not an ideal scenario when a good match is missed due to a filter selection misalignment on either side, we've kicked off a project to look into this and see how we can iterate to ensure where possible we do still generate the match.

Scam - avoid
Waste of time. I wanted to apply for a job via linked in and it took me here, had to spend ages setting up a profile because it couldn't read my CV properly. Then it turned out the advertised job didn't exist - this site is a scam.
Edit: you should *not* have to provide your life details to a site and create an account just to apply for a job advertised on LinkedIn. This is sharp practice and is disingenuous. It did not say anything about the job I applied for, even when I followed the link from LinkedIn again - it just took me to the dashboard of a site I never wanted membership of anyway!

I've requested some more insight as I'm keen to better understand your experience. I can assure you all roles Live on the platform/advertised do exist - however we only show you roles that match your profile. If you weren't a match the platform should have informed you why this was, it could be down to salary expectations, location preferences, skills/experience or other factors.
We do this in order to ensure a level of relevance for both candidates and companies - as it's this level of relevance that means we can ensure you are seen as a priority candidate for companies & will experience a faster interview process.
If you can respond to the Trustpilot request for identifying information I'll be happy to take a look and explain properly why we didn't show you the role.
Update: Thanks for providing the additional context - I can see the role you applied for is on our Source product, this means companies reach out to you direct to schedule a call vs you having to fill in an application form - this is why you weren't able to apply immediately as there is no application form, creating your profile was the application in this instance, I've reached out to schedule a call as I want to understand how we could better communicate this.
Waste of time
It basically uses AI to check your profile for experience keywords and then matches them against available jobs on the platform (which would be fine if it actually worked). However, if your profile doesn’t contain a certain number of keywords matching the role, it simply won’t allow you to apply.
So the AI ends up saying something like: “You have 5 years of QA experience across several areas, but I don’t think you’re qualified for this junior QA role that requires 3 years of experience.”
In my opinion, this platform is just a waste of time.

Unfortunately we only support roles in UK, US & India at present - and there are very few that are currently open to relocation candidates.
We'd love to open up roles in Bangladesh one day or be able to offer more opportunities for people to relocate, but we're not quite there yet.
