I purchased a Microsoft Office key from Groupon.
The key appears to be a UK school account rather than a legitimate retail license. The listing claimed it would be valid until 2029, but the key was deactivated within 9 months of activation. This appears to be a scam.

From May 2026 when I initially attempted to contact Groupon for a refund due to merchant no longer honouring vouchers and not connected to Groupon for a year? I am yet another Groupon customer that is awaiting refund for a service advertised on Groupon BUT the merchant informed that they have not been linked with Groupon for a year due to non payment? I sent the text communication as per instructions in purchasing the Groupon voucher to the merchant to book the service.

I have provided proof of the communication with the merchant refusing to honour the voucher and advising me to contact Groupon for refund. Today 11 June 2026 is my second attempt to resolve the matter with Groupon. Needless to say, I will not be using Groupon again and I have found Scoopon to be much more credible.

I am still waiting for my refund that I expect as it's not my fault Groupon Support failed to contact me sooner when I initially reached out for Groupon Support. Also not my responsibility for the merchant no longer choosing to be associated with Groupon.

I am wondering if there would be legal course of action for false advertising

If you want the best bang for your buck, this is the app. We use Groupon constantly and have bought deals for dinner out, car detailing, weekend activities, and beauty treatments for my wife. It makes trying new places incredibly affordable, and the process is always smooth. 5 stars!

Groupon refused to take responsibility for allowing a scamming merchant to sell access to unauthorised microsoft 365.
Groupon refunded $42 as a credit, what joke! When I was blocked by the administrator that actually owned and controlled the Microsoft 365 school account that I was sold, I lost access to 6 months of work files!

Unverified providers. Do not purchase any beauty treatments. It can be a dangerous scam.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The Jet boat experience was amazing. The photos captured were fabulous. You will not regret doing this.

Bought package from thai healing touch on groupon but the place was 'booked out', then then provider wanted to redeem my code and use it but not give me the actual service. Alerted Groupon to this, and they failed to respond to me. Scammers supporting scammers.

Absolutely fantastic, professional welcoming staff, beautiful decor, wonderful service and everything was clean and very relaxing.

I purchased Microsoft Office 2024, I thought.

The installation wasn't intuitive so I accessed help.

Suggestion 1 had me showing hidden files, deleting some and then starting the installation again (not really intuitive!). This didn't work. I was given an installation key but was never prompted to use it.

Suggestion 2 had me installing AnyDesk to allow an unknown person access to my computer.

Thankfully, it was only $20 but this was a textbook rip off.

Extremely poor service

Prompt delivery of voucher , followed instructions and everything set up easy.
Groupon communicated very well and voucher worked as they said it would.

Excellent service and fair prices in this difficult time. Meals were prepared swiftly and with excellent advice given by staff.
We had chicken and beef curry with naan and rice
We plan to return soon to try the goat and lamb curry. Family restaurant with seating for kids. Local music, which we enjoyed.

The event we organised cancelled on us and wouldn’t reschedule or refund us. It was hours of back and forth between them and Groupon. Took hours across weeks to get a refund and no one ever offered any discount or offers for this massive let down!

Way to ruin our Christmas gift!

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in this country. It deserves zero stars, but unfortunately, that isn't an option.

Firstly, they refused to honour the Groupon voucher deal, tried to set their own terms and conditions instead. Secondly, the food was terrible. The beef burger meal was so hard that it hurt my jaws and came with no chips. The eggs were badly cooked, and I’ve never seen a cheese slice just thrown on top of an omelette. To top it off, I ordered a mango smoothie but was served a strange "chef’s version" of a vanilla milkshake that looked nothing like the menu description.
I now understand why this place is empty while the rest of the shopping centre is buzzing. To the owner: if you are serious about this business, hire a proper cook and barista. Don't waste people’s time with unskilled staff. From the service to the food, this is easily the worst meal I’ve had in Australia.
Do yourself a favour: skip this Groupon deal and spend your money elsewhere. The only saving grace was the two waitresses, who remained polite throughout our meal.

Merchant for Office Professional Licence terminated agreement with GROUPON - Groupon was aware but did not notify me. When trying to redeem voucher, it was unsuccessful. Online chat advised it was a backend issue with the vendor, however they eventually did not repeat this lie but admitted the vendor did not want to deal with them. Clearly a breach of contract....Online chat and email follow ups with a Supervisor extremely frustrating as they continuously obfuscate the issue, hoping you will accept their paltry offer of credit to spend at Groupon. They just don't get that they are shonks and I do not wish anything to do with them other than to be fully reimbursed plus a consideration for exposing their shonky deals..

more than 2 month purchased item has not been delivered.
To me and other people who have same experinence they are scamming customers.
No way to have direct contact, no tracking only chat and always generic reply.

I purchased a dinner and show voucher for my wife and family $420 for her birthday. She has multiple sclerosis and has had a tough year. We purchased the voucher in June 2025 and went to redem in April 2026 only to find the fine print that we'd clearly missed. The voucher expired 3 months after purchase, no reminder, no options to extend. When I reached out to Groupon, I was met with a brick wall. No refunds no extension. A small amount, I could understand but this is not a small amount for us.
