Polite, professional and friendly
Jamie, Leon and Josh all turned up on time. They where polite, friendly and professional. Unfortunately the equipment couldn't be placed as agreed with the surveyor due to a lack of space. They did a really good job, no mess left and no time wasting. Helpful with the app etc.

Experienced company in provision of solar panels and able to offer good advice eg on size of batteries, storage location etc.
Very friendly tradespeople / installation teams including Jamie, Josh and Leon.
The one area I would suggest for improvement is more proactive communication telling people when things are happening. It did start to feel like I was having to chase things myself in order to ensure that somebody was at home for various bits of the installation

So glad Grant Store fitted my solar package, everyone was professional, curtious and informative. From Ronnie who did the survey, the scaffolding guys and the guys installing the panels, who were so quick and quiet, I didn't get their names and the electricians Jamie, Leon and Josh, all did a very professional job and explained everything, finally Tessa who kept me fully informed from the very beginning even making sure I got my handover pack quite quickly. They all made it a pleasant experience, something that I was initially dreading. I'm very happy with everything, thanks everyone.

You get what you pay for
Initial discussion for quoting was great, but then what do you expect? They want your money…
After confirming install dates, the scaffolders decided to erect the scaffolding at the house across the road, causing me to get a phone call about an irate neighbour, after I’d been told I didn't need to be home. Luckily I hadn’t gone straight out so I was able to rectify the situation.
An installer was left by himself for the first two days, not entirely convinced he was actually fully qualified. Then part way through the install he declared that the scaffolding was unsafe!! The guy left on day two saying he would call that evening to confirm when he’d be back to complete. He never rang.
Took multiple calls and asking to speak to managers to get them to give me a date for coming back to finish the job.
They came back a week later and granted, they finished the install. But it is now two weeks on and I still haven’t received my handover pack despite chasing. I’ve just been fobbed off with a certificate issue and no indication of when they will provide it. Unfortunately, as a conscientious person, I paid the invoice in full by the 3 day deadline. Oh and I had to follow that up too, as they sent it out initially ‘on the wrong template’ so I had no way of actually paying it.
It also took over a week to get the scaffolding removed at the end of the job. Now that it has been removed and I can get my car back on my driveway to my charging port, I have found that my car charger no longer has any power.
I would be very wary of using Grant Store for Solar PV or battery installations. They might well be cheap but remember the age old adage, you get what you pay for!

We’d like to reassure you that our solar team has been actively working on your Handover Pack. The pack was prepared the day after your installation, and the rest has been sent to you today. You will have your EIC and Building Control certificates by the end of this week.
Your DNO confirmation is still pending, as this process is managed entirely by the DNO and is outside of our control and unfortunately ,this is something we cannot expedite, but we will send the confirmation to you as soon as it is received by ourselves.
We have been advised by the installer that he has made contact with you and that an appointment will be taking place tomorrow to look at your EV Charger.
We also apologise for the confusion with the scaffolding, the communication challenges during the install, and the delays in completing the job. The conduct of our installation team has been reviewed to ensure these issues don’t happen again. As noted in your signed agreement, scaffolding can be removed up to two weeks after installation.
We value your feedback, and we hope to restore your confidence in Grant Store.

Installed a 2nd battery - like clockwork
Installed a 2nd battery. Whole process took only about an hour and integrated seamlessly with the existing app. Now provides enough charge capacity for a full days storage and overnight charging. Very polite and helpful installers - they cleared up everything and left within an hour after checking everything was working. Equipment is very high quality and the apps provided a huge amount of information.

A very positive experience
All aspects of the survey and installation stages were good.
Comms from GSL office based team was particularly good around the install dates and arrangements.
All of the operatives who visited the premises were friendly and courteous.
Big shout out to electrical manager Anthony, surveyor Ronnie and electricians Josh, Jamie and Leon who all listened to what I wanted and planned and delivered a tidy installation.

Fantastic service all round
Great service from beginning to end. Every phone call and interaction was pleasant, friendly and helpful. Scaffolders came and went without any issues. The team that fitted the solar panels was fantastic, did a great job, were careful and considerate in their work and took the time to make sure I understood the installation and the app. I have to say probably the best team I've had doing work at my property. A very professional company, from the office staff, the fitters and the engineers. Had a follow up visit from Dan Hartley today, he answered all of our questions and did a very professional and thorough check of the system. We know if we did have any problems then a quick call to the office and they would sort it. Excellent after care service. Highly recommended.
