My son surprised me with a 5-day Safari in Tanzania visiting Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Serengeti and Lake Manyara - & I couldn’t have been happier with the service provided by Gosheni and our Safari guide, William.

William was our biggest advocate for maximizing our time that we had on Safari - as reluctant as we were to wake up early every morning - we were elated to have seen the cheetah, lions, zebra, wildebeest and gazelles early in the morning. Undoubtedly, we accredit seeing the “Big 5” and so many more species of animal, to William and his knowledge of the landscape as well as habits of the animals.
Additionally, we were served hot meals in the bush for an authentic feel, provided a top of the line vehicle for viewing animals and were granted more than necessary opportunities to take as many pictures and selfies as we possibly could.

After all, it’s not only the company you choose that is most important factor - it’s your Safari guide that you’re going to be spending the next ‘x’ amount of days with. William was very communicative, understanding and ready to impart his wisdom at every opportunity. Thank you!

Overall, we were given peace of mind knowing that our accommodations were guaranteed, every safety measure was being taken to protect our well-being, and we received much more in services and William’s cordial hospitality than we paid for - 5+ stars!

P.S.: To all of the anxious travelers (myself included), it’s understandable to be concerned with the dynamic circumstances that we face when booking holiday vacations in this current time, HOWEVER, with Gosheni + William, we did not have to worry about how we were going to secure Covid-19 tests, whether or not we could be accommodated for any whim, and whether or not we would see any animals - the staff at Gosheni are truly the experts that you should rely on!

My mom and I are indebted with such gratitude to specifically, our Safari guide - William! The company and William have superseded our expectations for viewing an abundance of wildlife, gaining knowledge of the local cultural heritage and most of all - how accommodating the company has been with our requests. Additionally, William has, without fail, gone out of his way to show us the “Big 5” and so much more - even spotting the elusive leopard, cheetah and serval cat. Overall, he’s incredibly knowledgeable of the areas inhabited by the variations of animals in Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongo Crater and Lake Manyara - we have learned so much more of the language, culture and of Williams’s family ties to the Maasai. Moreover, from accommodating my work crisis to allow me to set up my laptop in their office in Arusha, to scouting locals to find an SD card for my Go Pro, to helping with Covid-19 forms - we have received so much help, leniency and gratitude.

I only wish we could have stayed longer than the 5 days, William has come to be part of the family and has contributed ever so greatly to our lasting impression of Africa - we placed our full trust in William because we only had 5 short days - & we were not disappointed! I recommend everyone to book with Gosheni and request William!

In the end, we were guaranteed our specifically requested accommodations, a very comfortable Safari vehicle, delicious hot meals in the bush, and really anything else we happened to ask for throughout our Safari. Gosheni & William, our guide, made our honeymoon safari perfect.

Getting the itinerary and the accommodation right is one thing, but Gosheni makes sure all the little details are perfect and William could find a needle in a hay stack or, in this context, mating lions in the Serengeti.

With William you will learn a LOT on the Masaï, Tanzania in general and all the animals of the savanna.

I recommend asking for a walking safari in the Serengeti, spending a night in the Acacionera Serengeti luxury camp and staying the rest of the time at the Serena hotels in the Ngorongoro & the Serengeti.

Our honeymoon safari has been better than we could have hoped thanks to William, our guide, and Gosheni safari in general.

William went out of his way to make us see all the animals from the leopard to the caracole as well as all the others. William is fun, knowledgeable, interesting, professional, discreet and effective.

We strongly recommend :
- William :)
- doing a walking safari in the Serengeti for 2-4 hours
- spending a night in the Acacionera Serengeti luxury tents
- staying at the Serena hotel in Ngorongoro & Serengeti

We wanted to enjoy Africa a long time ago. We finally decided. Before deciding on a safari company, we contacted at least 8 companies. Gosheni was very responsive, responded quickly to all emails, and helped resolve any issues. I really enjoyed the communication with the manager Pendo. The price was OK. Also, payment for the safari was not required 30 days in advance, as some other companies. Pendo also helped with the purchase of the necessary air tickets for the onward trip.
We choose a 5 day safari from Arusha. Our route was Arusha - Tarangire NP - Serengeti NP (2 days) - Ngorongoro - Manjara NP - Arusha. Also, the accommodation offered by Gosheni was super - close to the Luxury level .........
There is a separate story about our safari guide Ombeni ...... It was just super and unique ..... Very understanding and knowledgeable in all things both know how to tell about animals, nature and plants. We wondered how we can drive a car at the same time, find animals on the road, tell us all kinds of stories and still enjoy it all .......... For these 5 days we got a lot of new information about Africa together and its animals and nature. During the safari I really enjoyed the lunch, which was organized in the national parks outdoors in that restaurant ...... We saw the "Big Five". We didn't even feel the time of the pandemic. In fact, it was even much freer than at other times ...... Fewer people. It was possible to move freely in the park. There were 2 people in the car ...... It was super .....

Being 2 girls who have travelled and seen quite some things around the world already, this was our very first time in Africa. After reaching out to some safari tour companies, we decided to choose Gosheni Safaris as our safari sales consultant Pendo was just really helpful and obliging in order to make sure that we will draft a tour that is perfectly adapted to our preferences and budget.

Having all these settled up, we were lucky enough to be assigned to our tour guide William, who welcomed us such as friends who have known each other forever already. Driving us around in a comfortable vehicle with pop up roof that included all the facilities during safari, providing us hot lunches out of his magic box every day, and teaching us Swahili in the most efficient way, William went above and beyond to deliver us an experience for lifetime. He didn’t got in line like other tour guides but went the extra mile to give us the best possible view. That way we ended up seeing animals just an arm’s length away, having a cheetah on our car roof, and catching up with the Lion King’s cast in real life.

I definitely recommend to book a tour with Gosheni instead of doing it on yourself, just because an experienced guide has this so called gut feeling that you can’t learn from any guidebook. William knew exactly where to take us or where to wait with his car so that we could see the animals that we always have dreamed of. All we had to do was having trust and being prepared to take pictures.

My friend we started to ask for quotations while beeing in Tanzania and although Gosheni was not the cheapest the manner of communication and offering from beginning matched our expectations. We´ve choosen a 5day/6nights comfort northern safari tour and we got unforgettable impressions. We travelled alone in the comfort jeep with our friendly and qualified guide who explained short and informative without beeing intrusive and always with an good eye for everything. We saw everything the African wildlife offers in the different parks but the absolute highlight has been the Serengeti tour. Our guide payed attention to everything and served the patience to give us the space joining landscapes and wildlife fully. All accomodations and service was awesome and last but not least our guide at the end helped us to manage getting the PCR- test in Tanzania what just now is necesarry for travellers. We started as strangers and ended just like family so many thanks to Gosheni Safaries and to you Ombeni!

We visited Tanzania in March 2021, it was our first time in this country. A lot of thanks to our guide Ombeni who made this trip amazing. He found all hidden places with wild animals, we saw how leopard was eating its victim)) all lodges/hotels were very good, I even did not expect to live here in such conditions. Just a minor suggestion for administration to provide all tickets and bookings in advance, because in our case it was sent at the last moment. But once our trip started, administration met us in a very nice place, everyone was very kind and we enjoyed the trip very much. Ombeni is the best :)

The Safari was amazing! We Did the 5 day safáris. William was our driver, and he was great! Very nice and friendly. He showed us all the big fives and other animals. He asked the animals that we wanted to see and did everything to show us.
The lunch is good, a soup, food and fruits. There are soda, water and wine to drink. You can bring some snacks to eat between the meals.
The lodges (acacia farm and Acacia seronere Camp) was amazing. Amazing rooms, facilities and food. The Wi-Fi in both could work better.

The Safari was amazing!!! We was in a couple and we did the 5 day safáris. William was our driver, and he was fantastic!!! Very nice and friendly!! He showed us all the big fives and other animals. He asked the animals that we wanted to see and did everything to show us.
The lunch is food not snacks (a very good), a soup, food and fruits. There are soda, water and wine to drink. You can bring some snacks to eat between the meals with you want (I recomend)
The lodges (acacia farm and Acacia seronere Camp) was amazing. Amazing rooms, facilities and food. The Wi-Fi in both could work better.

One of the rare cases when actual experience exceeds expectations. Perfectly arranged journey, impeccable service, very friendly and profecient guide. We saw and learned so much, enjoyed every bit, every minute of it. Highly recommended!!!

Travelled in a family of four and had a fantastic safari thanks to the people at Gosheni and especially our guide Ombeni. He immediately impressed us with his hospitality and warmth. He was very kind when we were late and kept the jeep very tidy and full of refreshments. We were really impressed not only with his knowledge of the country's wildlife, but also with the fun and engaging way he delivers it. He would always find a new fun fact or story to tell us and the kids would bombard him with questions. Finally, he worked tirelessly to show us more animals than we could ever hope to see! He would often spend a lot of extra time on the road so that we could see lions, cheetahs and so on which was really special! Overall, I could not possibly imagine having such a great experience without a guide like Ombeni

We (me, husband and 7 year-old son) have just come back from our wonderful two-week vacation in Tanzania, which we started with a 6-day private Safari through parks in Tanzania and ended with sunbathing in Zanzibar.

Due to the fact that we were traveling with our child, we spent a lot of time looking for the right company to go on Safari with - we probably read all the available reviews about companies, their guides, available accommodation, we exchanged a lot of e-mails - and finally we chose Gosheni Safaris whose offer seemed to be the best, and Peter - its owner, patiently and promptly responded to all our inquiries and made changes to the program as requested.

The choice turned out to be PERFECT - we have quite high expectations, but the way our Safari was organized far exceeded our expectations (which happened to us for the first time in our lives).

We visited Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Ndutu, Serengeti, Tarangire. We also took a balloon flight over Ndutu. We stayed at the Marera Lodge, Acacia Migration Camp in Ndutu and Acacia Seronera Luxury Camp.

Everything was perfect but the best part of it was our guide - Ombeni - he was just AWESOME !! :) - smiling and full of energy, he picked us up on the first day from the airport, even though our plane was delayed by a few hours, and then was only better. We saw with him probably all possible animals (including big five): lions, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, wildebeest, various antelopes, monkeys, jackals, foxes, snake, crocodile, turtle , wild pigs, all kinds of birds, rhinos, ostriches. All the animals were spotted by Ombeni with his eagle eye. He wanted us to have a perfect view of animals and gave us as much time as we wanted that we could enjoy the view. We had the impression that he was happy with us (even though he had already seen thousands of these animals;)) He has a big knowledge (he graduated from tourism) about wildlife and Tanzania. He took care of all of us at every step, it was not even necessary to say that we need something, because he watched us and he recognized what we needed - it was amazing :) We felt very cared for and safe. In addition, we were very comfortable with him - which was important, because we spent all days in the car together :) Ombeni is also a great driver - we felt very comfortable, everyone liked his fast driving when needed (especially my 7-year-old). It should be added that the car was almost new, extremely comfortable, with air condition. Ombeni took care of the car, it was always clean, even when we were driving on the biggest mud. We think that without Ombeni our Safari wouldn’t be so perfect - we didn’t know before that the guide is so important (if not the most important) - so it is worth choosing the best one (I recommend Ombeni with all my heart).

We should also mention that the food during Safari was delicious. Also all the accommodations were great, especially Acacia Migration Camp in Ndutu - where the service was professional and wonderful - the top hotel staff should learn from them!

About Safari itself - it is difficult to describe in words, beautiful breathtaking views, wonderful nature and animals - you have to experience it. I guess nothing beats this trip.

We highly recommend Safari with Gosheni Safaris and Ombeni as your guide.

He was not only taking us from point A to point B - he was truly caring for us, making sure that we are comfortable and that all our wishes are fulfilled. He knows the area like his home and brought us to totally unexpected places.
Zadock is also an excellent animal tracker. He was able to spot rare species in the distance, but also drove to the special sites so we could see them very close.
He is also a good chat partner so we have enjoyed the long trip also in this aspect.
Ask Peter from Gosheni Safaris to be guided by Zadock. You will have fun and enjoy your safari just as we did!

A girlfriend and I completed a 5 day luxury Safari with Ombeni as our tour guide. He was excellent! Highly highly recommend! Very knowledgable and helped us with our Swahili. My dream was to get pictures of cheetahs and he got us close (about 10-15 feet). He even let us stay longer to just admire them. We saw all the big cats, elephants, hippos, giraffes, various antelope, crocs, monkeys/baboons, and various birds. We sang songs and went at our own pace. Lunches were excellent, you will not go hungry. We even drank during the day. You won’t regret a day with Ombeni!

Planning this trip was a breeze thanks to Peter!! We met our guide, Ombeni, without any trouble in Arusha. We proceeded with our safari trip to Tarangeri, Ngorongoro crater, then Serengeti! Ombeni was brilliant and so knowledgeable about the wildlife- allowed opportunities to photograph as long as we needed to capture the once in a lifetime moments. He lead us to locations that gave us a glimpse at rare moments and helped make our memories as amazing as possible. Hands down one of the best experiences of my life. When I bring my family back to Tanzania, I will be requesting Ombeni with Gosheni Safaris!!!

When I decided to book a Safari in Tanzania at the last minute I did some research and narrowed it down to three companies. I emailed them all and Peter from Gosheni was both the most responsive and the most accommodating for our needs.

Once we arrived we were collected from the airport and taken to our hotel for the first night. The next morning we were met by our guide and travel companion for the next week, Ombeni.

Ombeni was an amazing guide as he is smart, funny, very gracious and knows everything there is to know about this beautiful part of the world. He also has eyes like a hawk and was spotting animals in places it took us ages to see even when he was pointing them out.

Now I know seeing all the wonderful creatures is down to a certain degree of luck but with a guide like Ombeni supported by the wonderful team at Gosheni you massively increase your chances.

If you have ever wanted to go on Safari then Gosheni will be able to provide you with the most truly amazing experience.

Our Serengeti experience was as good as it can get! Our guide, Zadock was incredible! Incredibly knowledgeable about the culture, animals, and history. I wouldn't want to do another safari with anyone else. Gosheni does an amazing job handling all of the logistics so that your safari is worry free from the moment you land in Tanzania. We were able to see every single animal within 3 days, including getting within just feet of many. We also saw the very rare black rhino. There is no better way to do a Serengeti safari than with Gosheni, and Zadock.

My friend and I just finished up a 3 day safari, and it was phenomenal! We were able to get extremely close to animals— close enough to pet giraffes and lions on multiple occasions. We are able to see all Big 5 animals, including the elusive black rhino in the crater. Our guide (Zadock) was able to meet all of our goals and was patient with us as we tried to get the perfect picture. Our vehicle was very comfortable, and was less than a year old. This was our first African safari, and I must say I am worried for any future safaris, as the bar was set so high on this one! Gosheni hit this one out of the park, and will be hard to top.
