Although the staff were helpful as there is no disabled access my husband was unable to access the shop or the Vinyl Lounge which was the purpose of our visit today.
Very very disappointed that with so much legislation governing disabled access the owners of this chain choose to ignore it

Record Store Day 2024 included 387 special releases. This year I was going to purchase 17 of these plus some impulse buys. However when I got to the tiny section Golden Discs Dundrum had set aside for Record Store Day 2024 my heart sank. There were so few titles available from the list that I thought they can’t be sold out as it’s only opened and there are so few people here. I found 2 records off my list. Shame on whoever is the buyer. You would be better off opting out next year as it’s very misleading to customers.

This shop is really fast and their service is good, but I have something to complain about. I will say the positive things too, anyway. I ordered a DVD two months ago and they were much faster than I thought. Even though I live in Greece and the store is in Ireland, my DVD has arrived almost in 10 days, something very impressive, I have to say. The confusing thing that made the whole thing a little bit difficult, is that my house is in a district town were the houses have no address, so when I had to say my address to the platform, all I could do was to write the name of the area. When my package came to Greece, they sent it to a post office were they had to look at the address and then deliver it to my house. As I can understand, they didn't know what to do since there was no address on the package. At some point, they informed me that the process of my order has failed, because I did not inform them about the address. I sent them an Email to ask some explaining, they told me to communicate with the post office and after some days of searching, I went myself to the post office and they had it there. As they said, they were about to send it back. I knew that it was obvious that they couldn't send it to my home because I have no address, but I thought they would call me, since I gave them my phone number. I found out the reason they didn't do that when I looked at the tag on the package. There was no my phone number on it. So I understand that the shop "Golden Discs" didn't write my number on the tag, so when the post office recived it, they didn't know how to talk with me. If there was my number on the package, they would have call me and the things would be easier. In conclusion, I am NOT disappointed with the service of the shop, they did it pretty good. However, I am annoyed by the fact that they skipped to write my phone number on the tag of the package, since I gave it to them. So maybe I will try to order again from this store at some point, but if they don't write my number again, I won't try it for a third time.

Had the misfortune of ordering online for vinyls, 6 days had passed it states 2-5 days delivery. I had to contact them to see what's the hold up. Both albums where available to buy at the time of purchase,turns out one album wasn't available, so the other album was put on hold and I won't be receiving for at least 2 weeks and no one contacted me to tell me any of this!!
Won't be using golden discs going forward.
Received the 2 albums on record hub with in 2 days better price to.

Like I ce seen with other people I really don't want to complain about an Irish owned company that give employment to lots of people but I have to.
I bought two records from them in Limerick and Cork respectively and both are damaged. The minute I opened the record sleave s I could see smudges and lines going through them. The needle on my record player is mid life but perfect so I cleaned it before use. They were terrible!!!! I then cleaned the records with a specific record cleaning pad, which improved maters slightly but they are still unusable bar literally one or two songs on each side.
I can only presume they have found some cheap supplier who is crap at their job.
Extremely disappointed, at €30 each it's ridiculous!
Like others I ve seen , I live about 65km from both stores , so even if they would refund or replace, which they don't appear to, it s completely impractical for me to do so.

Worked as an xmas temp. Management are torture, incredibly strung up and don't even try to hide their distaste for anyone below them, entitled snobs. No toilets in some stores for staff. Worst is, on new release day, staff are to stay back for 15-20 mins UNPAID to organise new displays. Tills close after close, more unpaid time. They pay minimum as is, and full time workers probably work at least 45-60 mins unpaid if they close. In this economy, it is disgraceful capitalist greed.

I went to the physical store in jervis dublin, and bought a 2pc vinyl, and then when i returned back home and played this vinyl, both vinyls on each side, and 2 songs, one each side kept skipping, replaying, just being overly awful, so i tried to see if it was my player, no, needle, no, it was the vinyl itself, and the only way i can return this shi if i go up there physically, someonw who lives 60+ km away from dublin. I am horribly disappointed, and i highly recommended the record hub. Horribly disappointed with golden disc

I placed an order on 2 February for an item that I had wanted to purchase for a long time and that had just come back in stock. I received an order confirmation and nothing after that.

Today, 5 days later, I got a generic email with a confirmation that my order has been cancelled (?????????) and information that if I did not request this cancellation then it means they probably cannot locate the stock.

There is so much wrong with this situation I do not even know where to begin.

Why do they send customers back-in-stock notifications when the item is not, in fact, back in stock?

How is it that they accept orders and charge for items that they do not have in stock???

Why could they not be bothered to inform me, their customer whose money they had taken without delay, immediately of the issue instead of waiting nearly a week before they deigned to send me an automated cancellation email????

Completely unacceptable behaviour from a supposedly reputable retailer and dodgy, substandard customer service. Or should I change that to nonexistent customer service.

This fiasco was my first online order with Golden Discs and it was also my last.

I do hope that they got at least one thing right, and that is my refund, because if not, I will be initiating a chargeback with my bank.

For an Irish owned company in the year of 2024 to not offer any refunds is wrong on so many levels!
My husband bought me a gifts for Christmas from Liffey Valley shop. He checked with the employee of the day if I didn’t like the gift can it be returned
“No problem “ he was told.
When he return the items untouched unopened apparently it’s not their policy to issue refunds BUT
He can have unlimited time vouchers to come back and purchase from any Golden Discs of his choice.
I have worked in retail and I have returned items back with their receipt to many shops throughout the years no questions asked full refund.
So why won’t Golden Discs offer their customers the same .
Will never go back and will never encourage anyone to use this shop!

FYI …… they don’t even answer their head office phone if you try to call to make an enquiry.

I purchased a number of Christmas Gifts for my wife from Golden Discs Liffey Valley. This was for a total of €233. Upon time of purchase I asked if there would be any issues if I needed to return the gifts if there weren’t wanted.

As it turned out, my wife didn’t like the gifts and asked me to return them. I returned them today January 6th 2024.

I explain my situation and I was then informed that Golden Discs only offer replacements or store credit.

I have never had any issues returning items to any other stores in Ireland. I decided to take the store credit and pursue this issue with higher management.

I would appreciate that someone from customer service would please respond to this issue. I would be happy to return the vouchers for a full cash refund to my local Blanchardstown store at the earliest convenience.

Ordered 5 items mid November. 1 was a special order with a 2 week delay. Was told all items would be dispatched together. No problem, After 3. 5 weeks my order has turned up without the special item but my email says all items gave been dispatched. FFS. Trying to buy Irish and stay from Amazon and look what happens.

I always found them more miss than hit for getting Movies in on release day. They opened a new huge store in Waterford last month but same old, same old, nothing has changed, it's like a black hole here in Golden Discs Waterford. Try to contact them through Social Media is a joke "seen by Golden Discs" appears but no responses ever. Try contacting through there Website Email and again no replies. All there advertisements point out "Golden Discs is your one-stop shop this Christmas", totally untrue. Go back a few years ago they were a great place to buy from, always on the ball, but I can tell something is seriously wrong with them behind the scenes. Would not be surprised if they started to shutter certain stores in the New Year.

i did order on line a voucher of 50 euros one week after i still did not get an answer i keep sendind message looking for a refund but with no luck i dont understand why they dont answer i am not a happy costumer the service is more than mediocre prove me wrong

I pre ordered an item from their website in July, and just before release day, I got a dispatch email and the item was dispatched on time. I was able to track the item throughout it's journey. When the item arrived today, it was well packed. Prior to dispatch I emailed them with a question, and they replied within 24 hours. I cannot fault Golden Discs, they did everything they said they would do, and delivery was prompt. Thankl you.

My first and last time ordering from Golden Discs online. I had to contact them about my order 2 or 3 times as there was no information about my order forthcoming. One item on my order was a pre-order but surely it's not good business sense to have the customer doing all the chasing just to get an update on the status of my order. It took 10 emails back and forth to sort it out and eventually after 3 weeks I finally got my order BUT only after I cancelled the pre-order item did they finally send out the rest of my order. After reading reviews about Golden Discs their reputation for pre-order items is not so good. When the order arrived two of the cd covers were damaged but I didn't bother contacting Golden Discs as I waited so long for the order it just was not worth the hassle of trying to sort replacement covers for the damaged ones. Never again will I shop online with Golden Discs as it's just not worth the trouble.

I've ordered online many times now and just received my delivery today (Monday) after only ordering on Saturday. They have a great product selection and competitively priced too. What stands out for me above the rest is the brilliant communication, with emails from time of order to delivery I'm kept in the loop. It's a fantastic service and I'm delighted to support a great Irish business.
I'll be using again and again.

I've had several transactions with Golden Discs, both online and instore, and every time I have been more than satisfied with my experience.

I will use Golden Discs anytime I'm buying vinyl, as will my children.

I can only comment on the staff at the store in O'Connell Street, Limerick. They are delightful and nothing is too much bother.

Golden discs reminds me a lot of book depository, in that it genuinely feels as if they truly care about their products, and most importantly their customers.

Every interaction I've had with golden discs has impressed on me that my satisfaction and time is important, and a great respect is given to the music.

I always try to buy from golden discs over any other vendor, both online and on the high-street.

On occasions when I've had to return products their returns department has been more than friendly and so genuinely helpful and understanding. Just an all-around great experience.

I try to support Irish businesses when I can and have ordered several times from Golden Discs. I always receive my order very quickly and in perfect condition. I have no hesitation recommending them.
