Persistence
I had a 6000X that stopped taking a charge through the High Power Port. I worked with Jonathan in support, first on the phone and later via email. It took a few weeks of back and forth, trying different solutions before we agreed the best thing to do was to replace the unit. Now I am whole again. I think the key here is to be patient and recognize that diagnosis and eventual replacement will take some time but that GoalZero support will stick with you until resolution.

Top notch, customer service, and high-quality products
We use multiple goal zero products and put them through a significant amount of heavy use. We have occasionally had issues with a product or another and have contacted goal zero. They have been very responsive and solved the various problems or issues very promptly. Their level of customer service is top-notch, which will keep us to continue using and buying their products.
Pro 4000 with charging and port shutdown issues - resolved
Purchased a Pro 4000 open box back in February 2025. It's the keystone to the e-bike charging system along with 700 watts of solar. After a few moths it became a bit quirky shutting off output ports , reporting empty while charging etc.
I've worked with Goal Zero support and have to stay the previous experience was exceptional then.
This time Chayce got my open ticket and promptly got back with several steps for resetting the unit. His communications were clear and the reset processes worked as expected. it's really nice to work with a support person/team with excellent communication skills and solid knowledge of the product.
The Pro 4000 behaved afterwards, but during the resets it reported several OTA errors and later an Inverter Hard Fault. These I passed on to Chayce as an FYI not expecting them to be serious.
Chayce got back to me the next day explaining the depth of the OTA and Inverter problem and offering a replacement unit.
His detailed emails and proactive response deserves praise.
The Pro 4000 is the second Goal Zero device in my collection. A 1500x goes on car camping trips while the Pro 4000 stays home to keep the 'lights' on.

I had some issues with my Yeti Pro 4000 and I contacted Goal Zero support. Michael thought that possibly I needed a firmware update. He sent me an email with info about downloading the Goal Zero app on my phone and a video on how to update the firmware on the Yeti Pro 4000. I am not a tech person and Michael and Scott were able to talk me through the process with the video and email instructions. I learned a lot with there help! They were very patient with me through the whole process. The Yeti Pro 4000 is now working great! Thanks guy’s!
Fantastic Customer Service
I contacted Goal Zero about a battery pack that broke, and today they are sending me a new one. Customer service rep Chayce was super easy to work with and responsive. I'm pretty sure the warranty had expired; thus, I wasn't sure if they would replace it. Really happy with how this was handled!

We loved the 3000x enough to add a 6000x to our "family", but experienced some performance troubles along the way. Michael happened to answer the phone on one of the days I called. He took full ownership of the situation and turned what was becoming a disappointing experience into a impressive one! He consolidated the tickets from my previous requests, patiently helped troubleshoot, and when we couldn't resolve the problem remotely, sought solutions by elevating the conversation. He went above and beyond and ultimately resolved our issue while providing reassurance, follow-through, continual communication, professionalism, and empathy throughout. The battery and panels are awesome, but resolving the glitch cemented our loyalty. Thank you Michael for your initiative and care, and Goal Zero for empowering him to create a satisfying experience!
I cannot believe my eyes!!!
I have fully invested in a self sustaining backyard shed electrical system from Goal Zero, consisting of a Yeti 1000, 4 boulder 100 solar panels, 2 expansion tanks & a yeti link.
Everything worked just fine for years, then out of no-where the Yeti's battery just slowed down to a point of not charging and the unit became worthless. After many months of chatting with Goal Zero which was in a transition state of changing ownerships, I found my left unable to get a fix or replacement unit of a matching model.
I then researched further on the battery type, tried in vain to purchase replacement batteries and disabling the unit all to give up from its sealed encasement and ended up with a perfectly fine unit made un-usable from its battery dying.
Then Steban from goal zero noticed old cabling and connections to my system months later after submitting images and the company decided to to fix all my issues by sending me new hardware!!!. In any world this doesn't happen ever, and I'm fully glad to have made goal zero my company of choice for any off the beaten path energy system. I will buy a whole lot more from them in the future and recommend them fully to anyone looking for similar back up systems. Top notch company.

Replacement of Yeti PRO 4000
Ordered an open box Yeti PRO 4000 earlier in 2025. It suddenly stopped working. Opened support case with Goal Zero. Went back and forth attempting to troubleshoot. After a couple of months, Goal Zero agreed to replace it with a new item under warranty. Received the new product and it's working as expected. I'm grateful for their patience and willingness to work with me. It took a while, but we were able to resolve the situation.
Good people behind their products
I recently had an issue with my Nomad 100 solar panel and reached out to Goal Zero for help. What could have turned into a frustrating experience ended up being the complete opposite, thanks to Steban from their support team.
From the start, he treated me like a real person, not just another ticket in the system. He listened, understood my situation, and made every effort to help me out. In a world of phone trees, that kind of flexibility and human touch is rare, and it really meant a lot to me.
I’ve used Goal Zero gear for years on my camping and overlanding trips — their products have always been reliable, and this experience reminded me how important it is that the people behind the brand are just as solid. Steban’s follow-through and kindness turned what started as a problem into another reason I’ll keep choosing Goal Zero.

Honestly, I can't believe how good their customer service was. They went above and beyond to take care of me with a system that was out of warranty but subject to a recall I wasn't aware of. They seemlessly took care of my issue and Ian went out of his way to make sure everything was done with amazing speed.
5 stars doesn't fit the 8 star rating
From the moment Michael contacted me, things progressed in a positive direction. Michael was always calm, polite and well organized as to where we were in the process. After Michael had walked me through everything I could do to rectify the issue. I then put a load of a box fan on the unit and kept a log of the display. The documentation showed how the Pro 4000 was preforming and it was decided that it was having issues. I asked Michael if it was possible to exchange the Pro 4000 for a 3000X and that request was granted. My wife and I had also ordered Nomad 200 solar panels to go with the Pro 4000 and we had not used them yet. So I took our 1000X outside on a bright sunny day and charged the unit for a while. I was curious, as to the difference of our Boulder 100 suitcase, and so I hooked up the Boulder to see that there was only 10 watts output difference. I contacted Michael with photos via email showing the set up of the Nomad and the display on the 1000X and then the Boulder. Once again, we did a factory reset on my 1000x and redid the test, only to find the same outcome. I requested to exchange the Nomad 200 for another Bouder 100 suitcase which was also granted. The 3000X was delivered on the end of it's box, and the box was beaten up. One hole went thru the outer shipping box and thru both of the inner box's lids. The same thing happened when the Nomad 200 was delivered. It is my opinion that the carrier's poor handling is to blame for the issues of both of the products. I already was huge Goal Zero fan due to how my previous purchases were preforming. After my recent experience I am a Goal Zero Customer for life! I want to include all of the members of the team, as Michael was my contact, but he mentioned how he is backed up by great people.
If I owned a company, I would want my customer service team to work exactly how the Goal Zero team operates. This review is dated 10/31/25, but this has been ongoing since July, and that is not a complaint, that is to note the consistency of Excellent Customer Service that is above and beyond. A rarity to be found nowdays.
