Can’t recommend Global Bike enough. Went above and beyond to meet my bespoke requirements and were always friendly along the way.

My initial contact with Global bike felt very good. Found a nice bike in their webshop, got great service via the chat on their website. I paid the invoice via Paypal, and they said the bike will arrive within two weeks.

When the first two weeks had past I asked them for a trackingnumber. Then things went downwards. On the chat and telephone I got the same message every time - ”We will look into this first thing in the morning”.

This routine repeated itself on the chat and in phonecalls to the point of ridiculousness. I´ve then sent 5-6 emails with no response at all. 40 days after my order was made, I turned to Paypal and they helped me get my money back. Still no comment from Global bike.

Edit: I have got a sincere apology from them now.

One of, if not the best bike shop I have dealt with!

Over the last 6 years I have purchased 4 mountain bikes and lots of accessories from GlobalBike and every time my order is dealt with speed and efficiency by their friendly and helpful team (they also make a really good brew!).
I am not saying every single purchase has gone through with no hic-ups but these were dealt with quickly and professionally and I had no issue's with the outcomes.
In my experience, No bike shop is perfect BUT GlobalBike come pretty damn close!!!!!

I ordered a bike that showed 'In Stock' on the global bike website.

The bike was to be the only birthday present for my 8 year old daughter- and as she was moving up to juniors; we agreed that she could have an extra special present, at the expense of having lots of smaller gifts.

This bike was regretfully ordered from GLOBAL BIKE.

Read on... you will avoid this shop.

We trailed the internet, and visited several bike shops looking for her special gift. Being an experienced biker myself, I suggested a popular bike manufacturer to her which I already owned, plus other popular makes which are known reviewed and tested.

But, 8 year old girls can be head strong! She decided the bike she must have would be unknown to me- and untested on the web- the Lapierre Girls Prorace 20- chosen from a shortlist that I had made up of bikes with the right spec- but chosen on colour alone from her perspective. Either way I could not talk her round... and this was the bike that she must have!!!!

I searched on price. In some back nether region of the internet I came across a very small unknown bike shop GLOBAL BIKE which stocked the bike- important as it was in stock as it was only 2 weeks 'til my girl's birthday, and of course like any parent- I did not want to disappoint her at any cost, and risk ruining the birthday! 8 year old girls can also be very melodramatic!

A while went by. Days.

Then an email with a badly punctuated and poorly worded footnote- saying along the lines of ''due to the bank holiday weekend, there may be a delay from the usual 4-5 working days.'

I was extremely frustrated by this- it was very vague. There was no clarity on how long the bike would be- I was on a deadline of 2 weeks from purchase. There was no phone call or apology- both things that I would expect under these circumstances.

In retrospect this was also a lie. It transpired the delay had NOTHING to do with the bank holiday weekend and I would be left waiting not 5 working days....... MORE LIKE 5 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to ring the 'small nether regions of the internet bike shop' myself to find out what was going on. In the first 2 days, from receiving the vague email, I rang the shop several times. I spoke to a woman (I forget her name) who told me that the company director was looking into it and he would ring me back. He never did; on several occasions.

Further frustrations ensued. The woman at the shop was the only one who ever rang me back- apart from the time that I left a voicemail after hours to tell of my disappointment and that I would be leaving a poor review after cancelling the sale. Then a MIRACLE! The company director rang me back. I thought he was actually a fictitious person, on par with the bogey man at this point, but yes- he did exist!

Further lies spewed from The company director’s mouth, like locusts flying round the room. I was told 'whatever I wanted to hear', to stop me from pursuing my threats of reviews and cancellations. I agreed to wait, after a conversation with my little girl- who still only wanted that bike!!!!!

Apparently the bike was NOT IN STOCK- a lie on their website.
Apparently I should not worry- he is the DIRECTOR!
Apparently he would talk to the AREA REP- he knows him personally.
And..... the bike is IN TRANSIT from France- 5 WEEKS later; it still was!!!

Then, approaching 6 weeks on from when I saw the bike IN STOCK on their deceitful website in the nether regions of the internet....... they ring to cancel the sale.

And all we had to look forward to was the tears from my little girl when I got home.

Ordered an Evil Wreckoning custom build, paid a 100% deposit which I was a bit concerned about tbh. I bought an Evil Wreckoning earlier in the year from Cyclewise in Whinlatter (who were fantastic) & only had to pay a 10% deposit. I was given a date for completion day & was advised that the bike was fully built up waiting the fork. The fork arrived late on the promised completion date, this happens. Then the non returned calls, the fork was put with the wrong bike, then it was the wrong fork. Then finally I was told the correct Fork arrives a few days later. OK I think, a couple of hours to fit a bike built ready for the fork. 2 days nothing, then I could pick up at 2pm Friday, then a delay, then promised to be delivered by them on the Friday, nothing. Finally I visited the shop without advising them to find a frame in a stand with cranks & seatpost only, no fork. When what I saw did not marry with what I was being told it gave me the jitters so I asked for my money back. There was a mistake on this, tried to take the 100% deposit again twice, so a long time on the phone with my credit card company...

Got my money back in the end & bike is now ordered with Cyclewise who are professional & a dream in comparison.

I was looking for a decent starter mtb for my 13yr old daughter. I dealt with a guy called Rich over the phone, who was more than helpful over a couple of conversations. Unfortunately I didn't end up buying from Global, only because they didn't have the type and size needed due to the mid season shortage of bikes coming up to the new range launches. From my experience of customer service alone I would whole heartedly recommend these guys to anyone.

Wanted a custom build Evil wreckoning. Got a great deal and everything I wanted on it! Looks and rides amazing!!

I bought a road bike a few months back and the staff were so helpful. They helped me get the right size bike and made adjustments so i felt comfortable on it. It had it's 6 week service and rides like when i first bought it. We have bought bikes from them previously and they have always gone that step further to make sure everything is right, before you get the bike and afterwards.

I have a very happy hubby !!!

I visited the shop in Tattenhall and felt completely out of my depth when choosing cycling gear for my husband !! I really appreciated the advice and help with style and comfort. Unfortunately, the sizing was incorrect but I had no trouble getting the items exchanged for a different size. All in all a great experience !! We will definitely be returning.

I have used this company before for some bits and bobs. Nothing of any real value. So with an upcoming excursion planned with my dad to Spain I thought why not treat myself to a new bike. I hunted around and seen an ideal bike in the lapierre sdj. I had some extra cash saved so I jumped and bought without any real thought. 2 weeks later still no bike so I got worried and emailed the company. I didn't get a reply. As my trip was closing quick a little panic set in I must admit so emailed again. This time I got a prompt phone call. The man (rich cooper) apologised first off for the miscommunication and explained quite genuinely that my original bike had been damaged in transit and had been returned to the supplier who where unable to supply them with that model as it was an earlier version. A little dismayed I was quickly put at ease by their solution of giving me the 2017 version at no extra cost. Rich explained that sometimes when this happens the turnaround times increase but ensured me that I would have my bike before my trip.

A week past and still no bike, I got an email from the company asking for me to call. I spoke to rich who again apologised for the delay working with distributors myself I genuinely understood the process can at times be drawn out. Rich stated he expected the bike on Wednesday (I leave today - Friday) and if time ensured he would overnight the delivery to me. Unfortunetly he received the delivery too late to send and after knowing about my trip, staff from global actually drove up to Glasgow and delivered my bike by hand.

Totally made up by this service and care to their customers and while unfortunely I did have to wait a little longer for it, as I said I work with distrubutors and know they don't always come through leaving the suppliers red faced. I totally accept I was just unlucky this time and have absolutely no qualms about using this company again. The bike itself was perfect.

So thank you Rich and Thank you to the driver who spent his Thursday driving up to Glasgow and back. Great lads and much appreciated :)

Just wanted to let everyone no about my experience with global bikes.

First of all a big thanks to Rich. Went above and beyond when I was buying my bike. Customer care was amazing.

Thanks again Rich and keep up the good work. A totally honest an nice guy!

Rich at Global managed to source me a replacement Banshee frame at a great price at very short notice for an upcoming race weekend. He even put it on a next day AM delivery to make sure it arrived with time to spare for the build. Kept me informed throughout the order. Fantastic service, highly recommended! Will be using them again in the future.

i have shopped at all the big named shops i.e chain,wiggle, evans etc.

but for my cyclescheme, i thought i would push the boundaries a bit and see what was offering. came across globalbike and there ghost kato range that they had on offer at the time. not only did they have it on offer and in stock they had reserved it for me without any extra cost while i sorted my cyclescheme request out. the amount of chat log i had created with excitement which must of drove them mad. there was a delay and was told immediately. not only did they throw in some good stuff, rich even delivered the bike himself first thing on a saturday morning! you cannot beat any service like that! by far the best shop and service! will be shopping again!

Total and utter garbage. REFUSED to help on a warranty claim as they had lost something. Avoid.

A year on from my initial purchase from global my lapierre mtb frame cracked at the rear seat stay. A quick call to Rich at global explaining my issue he swiftly put through a warranty claim for the broken part.
A little over 2 weeks later my part arrived to me.
With regular updates via the phone with Rich and Jim I was kept in the loop every step of the way, this is after sales customer service!

I dont normally leave reviews however had great service from Global Bike. I needed 2 bikes for our twin boys birthday. Rich was able to get hold of 2 different colors and have them built and delivered in a very quick time. Couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommend.

These guys went above and beyond to build and deliver a bike that I wanted. Don't need to go into the details but this companies customer service is flawless. I will go out of my way to purchase items from this store in the future to support their business!

Great service, great bike customised perfectly and great price

I enrolled into the cycleplus scheme through my workplace Royal mail. I couldn't find the bike I wanted at any local bike shop so had a look online.
I found the the bike I was after at global bike uk. The great news was they accepted the cycleplus scheme vouchers. I am an impatient customer when it comes to ordering something and wanting it asap. To be honest, global bike where excellent and delivered the bike personally (Rich) 9 days after ordering. The bike was fully built! I had also changed the size of the bike to a medium from a large, this was dealt with without complaint or any problems.
Overall, all things taken into consideration, I enjoyed a hassle free, quick and personal touch and customer care from a independent bike shop that would put most large bike chain retailers to shame.
Just to add, a certain large bike retailer, wanted to charge me a 12.5% admin fee on top of the £700 price tag of the exact same bike I bought from global bike uk. Brilliant service, great customer care! Keep up the excellent work.

I first found GB when I wanted to move to clipless. They sorred me out with shoes, cleats and a lesson in the car park! This time I was looking for a new road bike that was a bit different and spotted the Lapierre brand when I popped into the shop for something else. Rich let me take his bike out for a spin to check fit and ride. He sent me several options to choose from and didn't pressure my decision. Now I have a lovely new bike and know I can pop in with any questions or tweaks in the future. Both Rich and Jim are very laid back and helpful - great service. Thanks
