I was unable to obtain proof of policy…

I was unable to obtain proof of policy renewal from Get Covered prior to my lease renewal date. They would only provide updated documentation on the exact renewal date, however I needed proof beforehand to avoid being charged month to month rent by my apartment community.

Because of this, I was forced to cancel my existing policy and open an entirely new renters insurance policy, also through Get Covered, in order to receive immediate proof of insurance. Unfortunately, the new policy provides less coverage at a higher monthly premium.

Overall, I am not satisfied with my experience using Get Covered for renters insurance this past year.

We’d also like to clarify that while the new policy may appear more expensive, the overall coverage should be similar, with a lower deductible, and the total cost across the policy term is actually slightly lower.

I tried to buy insurance on getcovered and it instantly purchased a policy for me without showing me monthly premiums or details on the renter's policy.

TOTAL SCAM!!

TOTAL SCAM!!!
Please do not purchase any rental policies from Getcovered. I had my rental insurance from them through my property website. After a year they will charge an automatic payment without your authorization which they say it is in terms and conditions,which you can't even try to delete your payment information on their system. Please trust this comments and save yourself they are SCAM !!!

This company should be SHUT DOWN

This company should be SHUT DOWN! I dealt with them for 1 year and it was horrific. Month after month my apartment complex Charged a non -compliance fee. On 8/5/25, I sent a complaint to them and requested this policy by cancelled. They ignored my complaint and responded with we are canceling your policy. I get an email from this unscrupulous company on 8/16 and 8/17/5 that my payment was unsuccessful!! I knew these crooks would try so I removed all my money from my account. THE NERVE OF THESE CROOKS! I sent an email to them complaining and no response again!

There is no customer support and you…

There is no customer support and you can never speak agent on the phone. Everything is AI and when you do sent a email you get no response. They charge fee way above rental insurance rates and will raise their fee no without and notification to the customer. I had to give it a one star review because that’s only I can write a response worst rental insurance company you could ever have and it’s gonna be amazing. See if those people pay the rental community when they when we mean people need the money and I doubt you’ll get that or you take you six months to get somebody on the phone terrible I’m I’m going to contact the business Bureau and file official complaint. Thank you.

deceptive practices.

they are an AI driven third party renters insurance company, apartment complexes wash their hands of compliance, meanwhile this company charges lapse in coverage as a scam. There is no phone number or customer support. They hide everything and play dumb unless you complain. The BBB has their contact info as they are well aware of their deceptive practices.
