Gerald Giles has been let down by its Courier Company APC and attracted this poor review.
I missed a delivery Monday. I had received NO notification that it was coming so that I could make arrangements.
The delivery was then arranged for Tuesday 9.11.21
No time frame was given. I waited in all day at considerable inconvenience to work and family commitments. In the afternoon I started chasing up Gerald Giles as APC had no functioning tracking system and there was no communication from them.
In fairness to Gerald Giles they have promised to refund me. They have lost my business and good will until they address the delivery side of their business which has been neglected and is abysmal. There is NO tracking system, no text, no communication and no advance notification of a delivery. Do they really expect people to wait in 12 hours?

Really impressed with how effortless and efficient it has been to order from Gerald Giles. Their pricing is also reasonable. I received updates about my order soon as I placed it and communication was constant. My package arrived swiftly, within two days, and everything was in good order. Really pleased and impressed and planning to make future purchases given their great service.

Far Exceeded expectations. I telephoned to see whether they had any Dyson fans in stock. They had just received a delivery but only had four left. I was encouraged to order one quickly which I did. I was told the courier collects the deliveries at 2:30 pm. I ordered the fan at 2:15 pm on Thursday afternoon and it was still sent out on the same day. It arrived in Chelmsford the following morning. It wasn’t anticipated to arrive until Monday so that was a huge bonus. Alex and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Would highly recommend this business and I will definitely be using them in the future. If only all companies with this helpful and efficient. Thanks Gerald Giles!

I made a mistake with my online order, they phoned me as soon as they were open to rectify the issue without my intervention and refunded the difference.

Placed order in afternoon on line delivered following day 8.00am APC there delivery company was second to none
Parcel was delivered in excellent condition driver was just great a credit to APC the overnight delivery company

First order placed for a 4 slice toaster. Simple on-line process great price and stylish product. Kept informed throughout the process arrived today well packaged and no excess wastage all recycled.
Looks sturdy and robust and comes with 3 year guarantee.
Update it broke and they refused to honour the so called 3 year guarantee period which was still valid and failed to engage or offer me a replacement.
Obviously a liars.

I ordered a bose speaker which was cheaper than any other company and arrived within 48 hrs. They kept me informed at all stages of the transaction. I have not used Gerald Giles before but would certainly recommend and use again.
Claimed to have item in stock and took money and then sent email saying they didn't: time wasters!
Purchased a product online, had a change of mind and called them the next day. Spoke to Phil, he was so lovely over the phone and arranged for the refund immediately. I would have no hesitations using them in the future.
I could not fault this company, cheapest price I could find on the internet, ordering was a doddle, it was despatched the following day and it arrived exactly when they said it would. Very impressed!
I called to check a product was in stock as I've had problems locating a particular model. The lady on the phone was very helpful; if I placed my order online straight away (Friday lunchtime) she would look out for it & process it ASAP. My delivery arrived Monday lunchtime. Yeah, I'm so pleased.
I placed an order online for a cordless vacuum cleaner. The checkout stated that delivery was free. Subsequently I received an email stating that if I wanted the product, I'd have to pay another £20 to have it delivered to Northern Ireland. Any extra delivery charges should be stated at checkout...it's not that difficult!! Even a message at checkout stating excess delivery charges to certain postcodes would be advisable!
As a consequence the item I thought I had bought (as a gift for a disabled person to enable them to clean, as opposed to a big, heavy machine) I will now have to find another vendor, and ensure they don't have the same policy on shipping!!
