Above and beyond
I’m not one for generally writing reviews but as I am one who reads them, when I get exceptional service I felt obligated to write one this time as generating energy went above and beyond.
We have had solar panels for many years as they came with our new build house and though we always knew it was a great addition I now know we were missing out on so much and I will explain why. In the summer, about 2 months after the fact, we realised our solar panels were no longer generating energy. It took this long as all the system is in the loft and so it is out of sight out of mind. After some research we realised it was likely that our inverter had broken as they generally only last about 10 years (as we had got 11 1/2 years out of it I didn’t feel so bad). So we had a look to see who could fix it for us and found generating energy. Now I don’t know about you but I tend to get gut feelings about companies and I got a really good feeling about generating energy. We asked them about the inverter and that we were considering to add a battery as we had heard good things. Generating energy were not pushy whatsoever, they were so good and patient about answering our many MANY questions and gave a very reasonable quote. We decided to go ahead and a week and a half post installation we could not be more thrilled! The battery has made all the difference, I cannot believe how much electricity we were sending back to the grid for free! Whereas now, it gets stored in our battery and we use it! Over the past week we have imported less than 1kWh of energy from the grid as we have been using the solar we have generated and stored in our own battery! An app also comes with the system that they install that gives you real time information so that you can see exactly how much energy you generate, how much you have charged your battery and how much energy you are using, so it is no longer out of sight out of mind, so if there was ever a problem again we would know immediately.
Now in terms of the actual installation, as someone with slight perfectionism, having workmen in my house is always a concern but David was incredible. I cannot fault him, he surpassed even my super high standards. All the trunking outside was hidden behind the existing drain pipe, he put the battery and inverter exactly where I asked with no problem, even though it was further away. He also removed the broken inverter. Everything was done so neatly, they put down floor protectors when they had to be in the house and worked so incredibly hard. David also came, out of work hours, to go through the whole system with both me and my husband. I honestly could not have asked for more from this company. Solar and batteries are the way forward and this company are who you should get in to install them for you. Thanks David, Louis and Jamie, you were all fab!
