York based con trick

I sent my Satnav for a repair as it wasn’t charging. DPD collected it and that’s the last I heard. Kept phoning and no call back and now calls aren’t answered. Emails aren’t answered. It been over a year now. This appears to be a scam to collect kit and up front payments

Avoid! They take your stuff and ignore you.

Takes your property and then ignores you.

They've had my Switch OLED for a month now.
A week ago, after pestering via their online portal, they said the repair should be "concluded one way or another" at the end of the week.

I've heard nothing since. I've tried calling, and emailing, but nothing.
When you do call the automated message is (essentially) "we're ignoring the phone to focus on repairs".

It was apparently it is "quite routine and something [they] have done many times".

Going from all the other recent reviews, this seems to be a trend.

I should have stuck with Nintendo - cost £50 more, but at least it would have been dealt with.

Gamer tech have had my laptop since January 2025. After numerous emails calls last year had absolutely nothing for months. No response to emails or calls.
Absolutely ridiculous as this is not a cheap laptop.

DO NOT TRUST GAMER-TECH

If it was possible to give a company a 0 stars! I would!

I sent a very expensive piece of DJ equipment for repair back in SEPTEMBER 2024! for the first 11 months of having my DJ controller in their repair bay, Gamer-Tech have fobbed me off, promised to call me back, without doing so, made excuses, before eventually admitting that they had actually caused more damage to my controller elsewhere on the unit! That was back in August 2025! Since then They stated that would send a replacement controller or compensate me to the value of a replacement unit! Since then, SILENCE!! They have made no attempt to contact me! They have stopped receiving calls (or possibly blocked me?) and have ignored my emails! I have been nothing but polite when communicating with them! I have contacted Trading Standards and written to Gamer-Tech, as instructed. The recorded letter was returned back to me OPENED, so I know that have read it! Gamer-Tech have simply resorted to completely ignoring me all together!!!

YOU HAVE MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO CONTACT YOU GAMER-TECH! SO THIS IS MY LAST ATTEMPT!!

STOP IGNORING ME!!!

DO NOT EVER TRUST GAMER-TECH WITH YOUR EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT!! IT IS NOT WORTH THE RISK!!

It's not clear who you are dealing with or whether this is even a legitimate business. I initially found the company through a Google search as DJ Mend, but was subsequently contacted by Premium Tech Repair and GamerTech. None of these company names are registered at Companies House and there are no similar businesses registered at either of the two addresses provided on the many websites.

I sent my record player for repair in July and waited a month and a half just for them to provide me with a quote. Communication was abysmal: every email I got from them only came after numerous follow up emails from myself. They said delays were due to a technician quitting, but they didn't have the courtesy to mention this when they phoned me to chase up my initial inquiry via their online form. 

After weeks of waiting just for a quote I requested my turntable back. On the return it was badly packed and arrived with the arm nearly snapped off. After I complained they said they hadn't opened it and blamed the damage on my packing. This is despite them writing to me after they initially collected it to confirm it had arrived safely and there was no damage in transit.

Complete amateurs.

Paid to get my PS4 taken away for repair

Paid to get my PS4 taken away for repair, which was £60, and paid the extra £15 *for the courier to bring a box*
When they came they clearly weren't told of the extra cos *they refused to take my PS4 without the box and address label that they were supposed to bring!*
I've sent them an email and am on the phone but have been on hold for several minutes despite being #1 in the queue
Giving 2 stars cos the person actually showed up so it wasn't a total scam

They Broke My PS3

My PS3 was working fine unless I tried to play a game on the system. I could use the media functionality, leave the console switched on for hours, no problem. However, if I tried to play a game, the console would switch itself off.
I sent the console to Game Tech Repair and when the console was returned to me, I was told the console could not be repaired.
I resolved to simply transfer my data to a new console. However Gamer Tech Repairs told me this would not be possible because the console no longer switched on.
Had I never sent it to them, I would have been able to save all of my data. However this charlatan company returned my console to me in even worse condition than it had been when I sent it to them and now I have lost all of my data.
I was only partially refunded for the damage they caused.
Absolutely disgraceful.

Avoid this cowboy outfit at all cost

My experience of this company is.....Very Very bad service and even worse workmanship, expect zero communication which is going frustrate you to death. Gamer Tech should come with a health warning for those with heart problems or a nervous disposition. Staff members are dwindling, the company is hanging on by its finger tips. I think this paints a perfect picture of how well this company is doing, when they can't keep their staff. But very fast to take your money I may add, don't say I didn't warn you!!! (Trustpilot you seriously need a zero stars option).

Unreliable and untrustworthy

Gamer tech have had my dj console since June 11 ...iv called many times and emailed them many times with no reply ..I did get through once and expressed my frustration as it quotes 5 working days for repair which is only a crossfader replacement and told if I didn't stop being frustratied they would send it back unfixed With half deposit back ...its not a good outfit at all ..
Because a technician walked out thats my problem is it.....well im still waiting for a update 3 months later still ..

Pity there isn't a negative score DISHONEST COMPANY

Pity there isn't a negative score - because if there was, this company deserves it. I sent them my Garmin 780 LT Dezl (a current model after paying Gamer Tech £34.00) back in November 2024. I was emailed and told the battery was in need of replacement and I agreed to have a new one fitted. I made many attempts to call and email, but they would not reply. In desperation, I called the Industrial Estate management to find out if they were a bona fide company, and they gave me a different number to contact them. Calling this, in March of this year, I was assured that the repair was "in hand" and would be completed shortly. 10 emails later and as many phone calls - were followed with more excuses, - "trouble finding the engineer," "difficulty in locating a battery". Only threatening them with legal action got the SatNav back in August 25, still not working. I obviously asked for a refund (£34.00) - and to this day, 3 weeks later, there is none. I bought a battery from eBay last week and fitted it myself. A hopeless experience and a complete waste of my time - and of course £34.99.

You will see below that GAMERETECH says they have issued a refund for the £34.99 I originally paid. This is a lie. They still have my money; it's now 02 September 2025. This company IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED,

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service. Sent a 2ds xl in for a diagnosis and was told to expect a delay of up to two weeks. It’s now been over 5 months, every time I contact them they either don’t reply or send a generic “you’ll have an update at the end of the month” which I have never received. The service is dreadful and I feel robbed.

Unacceptable delay and poor communication

Sent a 2ds in april for repair and 5 months later the repair has been completed. No response made to a formal complaint i made several weeks ago or to a letter I sent regarding breach of contract. Device is now working but a disappointing wait and poor communication.

Terrible

They had my device from April until July and didn’t even open the box I sent the device in. My device was only sent back due to me emailing them, paid £99.99 and am still waiting to get a refund. They did zero work didn’t even look at my device and are holding back on giving me my money back.

I'd give this circus 0 stars if I could

I'd give this circus 0 stars if I could. A company that advertises a quick turnaround, led by their 'team' of technicians, actually turns out to consist of a handful of non-technicians with no intentions of fixing anyone's devices.

You will be given a time-frame of 10 days for repair and return, only to hear nothing from them for months unless you sit on hold for multiple hours, to then be told that either 'one of their technicians has unfortunately left the business', or 'one of the technicians has been on extended leave due to illness'. This makes you question - are there actually any technicians at this business?

It will then get to a point, where, like myself, you get so fed up of waiting for a progress update, or any sign that they're actually doing what you've paid them to do. You'll ask for your device back, they'll tell you there's a £35 fee associated with this (I assume this is the way they make their money), and they'll ship it back to you within the hour! So their staff either blatantly ignore emails asking for an update, or pay special attention to emails asking for cancellations!

Running a business with the intention of taking on significantly more work than you can cope with, and then ignoring your customers into submission to make £35 out of them is a disgrace, and with the number of terrible reviews on this website, I'm astonished they're even still legally operating.

Please do not make the same mistake I did with this company, it's a blatant scam.

Go ANYWHERE else

Sent in my DS for a screen replacement. No update for months. Finally got an update and apparently they just got the screen. Wait another month nothing call up and they dont even have the screen. Can't get a full refund because they looked at the device so I'm out £30, 4 months of my time and they ended up breaking the bottom screen somehow
