Frontier is very badly managed
Too much stress to talk about my 2 month experience of no internet, no landline, and no cellphone because I rely on Wi-Fi calling. I called tech support 9 times and had field support out twice. They WILL NOT ADVANCE YOU TO SENIOR HELP even when that is clearly what you need. I have spend 12 or more hours with their incompetence while we are paying them. Their system below made me select one date versus the fact this has been ongoing for 2 months. The factual dates are mud November to today, December 18.

Last year I was lied too about my internet service and was told that I had to switch from my router box to FIOS and that eventually everyone had to change over. Almost a year later no-one else has had to switch over and I was also told once I was already switched over, I couldn't go back to the router box I had previously for years and that if something was to go wrong in the line, that they would not come and fix it. Since I switched over to FIOS, my neighbor has had a problem in their line and they fixed theirs. The service is lousy and every day I lose internet connection on my TV and have to disconnect it and re-plug it back in. I am not the only one who complains about their service! It just happened again this morning while watching the T.V.
Most maddening “customer service” ever
Frontier Communications has just provided me the singular worst customer service experience I have ever had. After more than 50 minutes on the phone with technical support, the company refused to send out a service person to replace the third malfunctioning cable set top box in our time with the company “unless we agreed to pay $150” for the service call. I asked to speak to her supervisor and after several fake “I just spoke to my supervisor and it will be a few more minutes”, all but admitted that “the supervisor “ was not going to speak to me (and I believe was never even asked to). Then she tried to lecture me about how to take care of my elderly father (the account owner who was on the line with us). After more than an hour of being jerked around, the problem was not solved, my request to speak to a supervisor was not honored, the service call was never made, and the problem with the malfunctioning set top box was never resolved. This came in part from Frontier giving us refurbished/repaired used equipment that the earlier service personnel told us were not very good and broke all the time.
This was no way to treat a 90-year old customer of more than a decade of paying well over $100/month for Frontier “service”.
Avoid like the plague!
BEWARE customers! Check your bill !!!
BEWARE if you are a current customer of Frontier or even thinking about using Frontier, as they will take advantage of you! We have been a customer for many years with their fiber internet service at 100 MBPS plan for $89.99 per month. They no longer offer the 100 MBPS service and have not offered this service for many years, but never notified us and many other customers when it was discontinued! Their lowest plan is currently 200 MBPS at $19.99/month. Their 5000 MBPS plan is $89.99/month. Frontier has been overcharging us $70.00 per month for many years! Thanks to Frontier’ poor customer service, they have never contacted us about reducing our price to their current plan or increasing our internet speed to 5000 MBPS for the $89.99/month we’ve been paying! Another Frontier customer told us about the scam after they discovered the deceptive practice!
If you are a current customer, CHECK YOUR BILL AS YOU ARE PROBABLY BEING SCAMMED BY FRONTIER like us and many other customers! Make sure the service you’re being charged for is still offered at the price you’re paying. Frontier won’t tell you, so CHECK YOUR BILL AGAINST SERVICES CURRENTLY BEING OFFFERED on the internet. Better yet, see what competitors are offering.
We’ve since moved on to an internet company with faster internet speeds and lower prices than Frontier. They also give you free equipment (no rental fees) and have NO contracts. AVOID FRONTIER INTERNET SERVICE!!!

I called the 1-800 -921-1801 and they tried to sell me a first alert necklace nothing to do with the Internet service. I went on their chat line. I couldn’t accomplish nothing and they wouldn’t give me a supervisor‘s phone number. They said I don’t need one. They said the supervisor can’t help me.
Morgan Hill fiber is awful.
Morgan Hill, CA fiber is awful. I googled rating websites which took seconds. I then clicked on here which took a few more seconds. The internet lags. Unusable. The speed is worse than DSL. I don't know how this is called fiber.

Absolute crooks and swindlers
I Livestream for a living. I have hard buffering and packet loss for the last 3 months costing me over $8000. Frontier has consistently upsold me larger plans and more accessories and told me they"can't see any issues" on their end - just to find out there network is congested. They have oversold their service and now promise something they can't deliver.
Chat fails
My internet/ wifi has been down since Friday 11/28/25. Thinking Systems were overloaded due to Black Friday shopping, I waited until Saturday to connect with Frontier. My wifi keeps dropping intermittently. There is absolutely no way to speak with a human by telephone. It took 3-4 attempts with chat bot. I tried to provide info but bot insists on asking questions. I try to answer but bot gets impatient if I don't click on its preferred answer format, which doesn't have the correct answer to my problem. If it takes longer to respond to a specific request it thinks I've left the chat and closes chat; or, it offers to connect me with live chat. Live agent seems to follow a script. So, we go through the troubleshooting again. Still not enough time to complete requests before agent gets impatient, disconnects. One agent determines my service is on backup device. He says pull power and plug back in. So, when I do, I get disconnected and have to start all over! Now no service at all. I'm connecting with my cell phone data only. Agent wants me to check power for ONT which is on the outside corner of my house. I cannot access box because it needs a round key to open the box, which I don't have. By that time agent has closed chat because I'm not fast enough! I'm 79 years old! Not some spring chicken who can fly down steps and navigate the side yard without the risk of injury!! I finally connect with agent who can't reset ONT remotely and schedules service tech for 12/9. GREAT! Then several times I get reminder texts to find out if I still need service! Today I get text saying Frontier has done some work on their end and I should be able to resolve issue in 3 minutes. Just unplug power to ONT box. You know, the one I can't access!!! Finally I'm able to get my Nephew who has a round key in his toolbox and opens the box and resets the router. I reset the eeros in the house and I now have service. I searched all week end to find an email address or direct telephone for service. Even the Corporate number connects with recording to use their app for support. I found absolutely NO WAY to speak by voice to a real person at Frontier!!!! To say I'm seriously frustrated is the least of my dissatisfaction! This is the first time I've had to contact Frontier since install back in April 2025. Their actual system is fine, it's customer service that may cause customers to cancel and go back to Spectrum. Their service was lousy, but never any problem with speaking to person and service tech responded quickly.

If I could put no stars I would. Frontier is the absolute worst customer service, no local offices to have technicians come out in a timely manner, no flexibility in providing complementary tech services when there’s issues with frontier equipment. Unreliable, customer service, no follow-through, despite recorded calls. The worst I’ve ever experienced.
Do not use Frontier for internet
And I thought spectrum was incompetent? In Camarillo California- there has been an internet outage for three days-

I have only had service with these folks for the three months- I have over 50 text messages Internet outage Internet restored etc- there are internet outages multiple times each week-
I have not once seen a frontier utility truck in my area doing one thing about it-
The internet is always out-what happens if you work from home? How do you make your living with incompetent internet services?

Don't even have Internet
Don't even have Internet, I'm not getting texts or update son the outage, and they won't let me talk to a representative. The automatic phone responder just says that because I'm in an outage they won't talk to me and the chat on the app doesn't load at all.

This company does know its backside from its elbow. Need an engineer...contact another number....if indeed you can get to someone in Customer service. I was going to be NEW customer and they managed to mess up totally. If they cannot take care of the basics you have to wonder what happens when you have a problem.
Awful customer service
36 hour internet outage with no communication or transparency. Customer service was either automated garbage, or cookie cutter excuses if you were lucky enough to talk to a human. If fiber is available in my area through a different provider, I will be switching.
Frontier fiber is FAST and Affordable
Frontier fiber is FAST. I only need the Internet 500 plan, but up to 7 GB is available. Installation by Kirk and Steven was professionally done and they were cordial. Remember for TV streaming services offering local channels, like Hulu Live, you will need to have the TV service reload your home address. Customer service was unaware of that issue. But they were very helpful setting up my online access. I had difficulty getting Frontier to honor the promotion they sent to my house as junk mail. It took extraordinary means to secure the promo including $100 sign up bonus. We will see about that. I expect years of reliable service. I used to get reliable service with Comcast Business, but not lately. Furthermore, Comcast Business cost more and was much lower bandwidth.
Terrible customer service, still no internet
On 11/20/25 my husband spent over an hour on the phone with Frontier Internet due to a complete loss of service. The representative, Kim, walked him through extensive troubleshooting steps with no success. After wiping all of our access and equipment clean, she informed us that we would need new equipment and that the earliest shipment would take up to 72 hours.
We explained that we both work from home and rely on internet access for our livelihood, as well as for essential household functions such as our Nest thermostat. Despite this, no alternative solution was offered. When we requested to escalate the case and speak with a manager, Kim stated it would take an hour for someone to call us back. No manager has contacted us, no technician has been scheduled, and we remain without internet service.
This lack of support and resolution is unacceptable. Frontier’s failed equipment and inadequate customer service have directly impacted our ability to work and maintain our household.
Wow, Frontier is a scam
Wow, what a scam. They got me to switch from Spectrum and swore that I had 30-60 days to try it at no cost. Not only did it not work as well as Spectrum, they ended up charging me $147 for early disconnection and restocking costs. And now I've got a hole in my wall and all of this equipment that I need to bring to UPS. Do NOT go with Frontier!
They’re just crooks
Surface wasn’t too bad while using it, but they increased my bill every year, and then when I went to cancel, I had to pay almost $300 after everything was set and done. That was with returning equipment in perfect condition. So just be very wary of the end cost, and make sure to cancel a month in advance.
