Seems to be a massive scam to trap people with orders and then bill them for it.

As others have said received a call from this company this morning saying they were our franking machine supplier (which they are not). They asked us to confirm our usage to which I agreed with what they said.

They then sent a link to an order form via a document signing services which rings alarm bells as we have a central team dealing with POs and ordering. I assume it's an attempt to get inexperienced staff to commit to something and then charge it back to their company.

Googled the name and lead me to this Trust Pilot where others have been scammed and experienced the same thing.

I would give 0 star. They are blackmailing other companies. I am not sure how they can operate in the UK!

We never set up an account with 'Franking Supplies' they cold called our business and duped a young colleague into placing an order.
What Franking Supplies do is state 'that we are your supplier and are calling to top up an ongoing supply of....'
It is funny how so many people have the same complaint and feel that they have been scammed.
I have requested that Franking Supplies collect the unwanted credit card rolls and they have refused to do so, but if we don't pay they stated that we will be dealing with their company solicitors!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Judging by the other reviews, we're not alone in this situation.

Unfortunately they called and spoke to our receptionist. Said they were calling from our usual supplier (we don't have a usual supplier as we don't use our franking machine but she wouldn't know this!) and asked if we required 2 more inks and 2 lots of labels. No price was mentioned on the telephone, or on their order form.

All of a sudden we receive an overdue invoice reminder for just shy of £400 (£394.80).

The package is unopened and has been returned today by special delivery.

We will NOT be paying the invoice.

Will be reporting to Trading standards.

Keep calling pretending to be our supplier. One of our receptionists was duped into get a a cartridge from them as they told us that ours was due to be replaced and when it did turn up and was fitted it caused the machine to stop working as it leaked everywhere as not a genuine product and used very poor ink!!!

They still keep hounding our offices despite us telling them we already have a fixed contract with another company.

We are not interested in their poor quality service and appalling sales techniques, so avoid at all costs!!

I would give Franking Supplies company minus 10 stars if I could. Insidious sales practices, continued unsolicited calls, emails and prepopulated order forms designed to catch out staff into ordering from them. I have reported them to the Information Commissioner.
UPDATE despite them saying they don't sent unsolicited emails, they have been asked NUMEROUS times to remove our details from their database and cease contact and refuse to do so. Hence the referral to the information commissioner. Insidious, underhand practices exploiting naivete of new and inexperienced staff.

please do close my account, I am happy to forward EVERY email I have sent you asking you to remove my details which you have failed to action. I've now spent far too much of my working day dealing with this and will engage with you no further.

Very dodgy tactics, prentend to be your supplier - cold calling and suggesting you're running low on Franking Machine ink and lables. Very bad business model. Avoid like plaque!

Appealing business practices that include entrapment and bilking.

Would recommend franking supplies , really good prices and works out cheaper to go here ,was hassle free and I had really quick delivery as I was needing them urgently.
The girl I spoke to was really helpful in advising me with the best option and getting it all sorted out asap for me!! thank you I will be ordering from you again :)

Spoke to janey in regards to my till rolls really helpful and even done an offer quick service will be using again.

How this company can receive any genuine 5 star reviews is beyond me. People are either gullible, don’t shop around or on the company payroll/commission structure. Probably the latter.

We have on many occasions told them never to call our company again yet they continue to call and manipulate and attempt to convince staff into believing they are our genuine supplier.

We now publish your name and details in a weekly email to all 400 staff to be aware of your unethical scamming tactics.
(I have listened to many of our internal call recordings over the years and your fraudulent sales script hasn’t changed at all!)

“I am just calling to see if two inks and two boxes of labels will be ok for the next 6 months” no it will not!

This company resells inks and labels at heavily inflated prices. We nearly got caught out when you convinced one of our employees you were our supplier and luckily we returned the overinflated rubbish you sent us years ago!

Under no circumstances should you pay any invoice to this company. Disgusting behaviour.

SCAM ARTISTS

They will speak to the office Jr and pretend we are existing clients. They send a link to confirm the order which has no mention of money or how much the items cost. Apparently they send the invoice with the goods. After speaking with them they charge £65 for an ink that costs £6 elsewhere.
The order confirmation does not mention payment either.
Total scam company. Disgraceful.
Its hard to believe a company like this still exists in 2025 UK. Get a real job!

They pretend to be your supplier for "Franking Supplies" and mislead you into placing an order.

Thankfully, my brand new colleague knew nothing about how many we needed so asked me, and I was able to show him how our phone systems have a built in safety feature which highlighted to us that the number has been flagged on our phone providers list as SPAM/SCAM Telemarketer.

He hung up, thank god.

We have issued a report to the ICO in regards to this matter as a breach of GDPR as they have been told by us on a recorded call to delete our details.

Scam company. Franking Supplies LTD, absolute #### they try to get you to order supplies for franking machine making out they are your usual supplier, however they charge £90 for a "compatible" cartridge you can get for £8 on Amazon.

These people prey on junior/new staff in an attempt to sell their crap.

Since writing this review, I've been asked to give "further information" including a phone number together with the following message...

"We only process orders when an order form has been sent for consideration, then returned to us placing an order. In order for us to acertain whether you are a fake review from a rival company, please provide details so that we may investigate."

Firstly, our company works in the digital age and rely on email rather than expensive post and we would not think about entering an industry to push that sort of vintage trade, so rest assured that we would not even think about becoming a "rival company" (or better known as "competitor" to those who see the world in a slightly less violent view.

Secondly, we have never ordered from you, never would. We do have a franking machine however, it's via a reputable company and to be quite FRANK (see what I did there, hehe), that machine has been sat there, feeling unused and gathering dust like the two by 4 brown Lego brick I found on top of my fridge freezer (I think it's supposed to be yellow, but still, very dusty).

So to reiterate, the franking machine we do have, has seen less action in the past 5-6 years than Cat Sooty, and we put her down in 2020, so, we would not require your services (which we have told you on many occasions).

I would not provide you with our phone number as you'll simply just keep calling. You called this morning, you should remember as I laughed when you mentioned your company name.

Answer- your company falsely pretended that we are regular customers and that we buy products from you, we never had any business with you. We will except you to collect the boxes you have left.
We are now in Decmber, January is a month away!

I am extremely disappointed with the practices of Franking Supplies UK. Our charity received an unsolicited sales call that resulted in unauthorised agreements and attempts to charge us for nearly £400 worth of supplies. The representative requested order confirmations and signatures from a member of our reception team who is not an authorized signatory, which is highly unprofessional and unethical.

Despite their push for signatures, we have not received the supplies they claim were ordered. After reviewing other Trustpilot reviews, it appears this is not an isolated incident, but part of a concerning pattern of behavior. We have reported this matter to Trading Standards and will be blocking their number to prevent further contact. I urge other charities and businesses to be cautious and aware of these deceptive practices.

Scammers! Never used this company but they called a member of my staff whilst I was on holiday lying and asking if we want our regular order. Never used them before.We don't even use the product they sent. Then to make it worse they email a request for payment after the 30 days return date is over. Just spoke to my member of staff who is very upset to have been scammed in this way. Obviously this will be referred to trading standards and hopefully this rogue outfit will be fined and stopped from trading.
Scams like this this need to be shut down.

Really positive experience with Amber and Faye who were really helpful in advising us on the correct products for our franking machine. Quick and easy service and worked out a lot cheaper than our previous supplier.

I can only repeat what others have said regarding the company's cold calling and asking reception staff if they want to repeat an order. They state they are a place to get cheap stationery supplies. They are not. Their costs are more than double where we usually get our supplies. Have asked to be removed from their contact list.
I can assure you I am a genuinely conned client.
