The delivery was done quickly but I got most of the communication through the driver. He was sent for the pickup in the morning instead of the afternoon so it messed up his time line. He also didn’t have the delivery address. Good thing the seller was able to give him our phone number.

Cheated
Had a price we agreed on, and out of no where I was told I had to pay more because the size was incorrect and cause another shipment get get dropped. When shipment arrived, the driver told no other shipment was planned on the route. So I felt I got cheated.

Sorry to hear about this John. The transportation companies that bid on loads work off of the provided dimensions and we also ask that those dimensions are verified by the owner of the equipment. When the dims are off by inches or if the weight is incorrect, it can push a load into an oversized load which requires additional permits or a different trailer. is regulated by each state that the load travels through.

Great Experience (for my first time at it)
Quick bids, fair price, quick contact to offer help. When I took a bid, it was seamless. Miscommunication between company and driver about arrival time, but he called me regularly to update. Not a problem. A few hours difference on a 500+ mile trip.

No issues with FR8Star...just the carrier. The contact person (Julio) would lie...not return phone calls...would say "let me check...I will call you right back"...but wouldn't call back. DO NOT USE AMPERSAND TRANSPORT!!! Pay a little more and get someone reliable and professional.

I had a good experience using this service. It’s kind of the only gig in town because of their system of getting a delivery driver. They use a bulletin board that they and truck drivers can only access. I paid 625 and the driver got 350 so it’s a gig where there is many hands in the cookie jar.
