After completing my certificate several years ago, I needed a copy of my certificate. Jamie from student services was able to help me in a quick manner. I truly appreciate all Jamie has done. The service was amazing.

my course expired on the 31st of July. i changed my mind about studying after one week but their grace period is only a few days so i was locked into paying $4,890. i tried to work out an agreement but they are unforgiving. i tried to complete my course anyway in order to get something out of the exorbitant amount of money i was paying but trying to complete it was impossible. the certificate three in early childhood education and care requires you to film videos of you caring for the children, which no parents are comfortable with. AFTER MY COURSE EXPIRY DATE i was charged again. i called student services and they insisted it was the last payment. i emailed for proof of this and now they’re claiming i still owe another $180. i have done the maths and i do not owe that. the staff are horrible, they take forever to reply and often gave vague unhelpful answers when i was trying to complete the course, and they lied on the phone when they assured me my last payment was last friday. all of the positive reviews are 100% fake. my biggest regret is ever joining this scam.

DO NOT ENGAGE FOUNDATION EDUCATION'S SERVICES

This has been one of the most disappointing educational experiences I've had.

I enrolled in the Certificate III in School Based Education Support through Foundation Education. I was surprised by the volume of work required for the practical assessments. In addition to the theory assessments, there were extensive workplace assessment requirements, including recording videos of interactions with students and significant back-and-forth between myself and the supervising teacher. Personally, I found the video recording requirement uncomfortable and felt it raised ethical concerns in a school environment.

During my practicum, staff at the school also commented that the assessment requirements appeared unusually demanding compared with other training providers they had worked with.

I later purchased an 8-month course extension. What I did not fully appreciate at the time was that the repayment period extended over 12 months. Although the number of repayments was mentioned during the phone call, it was not made clear to me that I would still be making repayments after my access to the course had ended. In hindsight, I accept that I signed the agreement, but I don't believe this aspect of the repayment arrangement was explained clearly enough for me to understand its practical effect.

I believe it would be much more transparent if customers were clearly told, in plain language, "Your course extension lasts for 8 months, but your repayments will continue for 12 months." Had this been explained that way, I would've have made a different decision.

I also encourage prospective students to read both the positive and negative reviews before enrolling. My experience did not reflect the impression I had when I first researched the provider.

This review reflects my personal experience with Foundation Education. Others may have different experiences, but based on mine, I would not choose to study with them again.
